Your favorite Bills conspiracy theory?

Displacing the Indian burial ground to build Rich Stadium pretty much cursed Buffalo forever. Up until that time, Buffalo was a successful AFL team and the city was a thriving metropolis with big industry and respect. After digging up the bones, the teams lose in odd ways, a big blizzard hit, the jobs dried up and the town became a national punchline. I think the solution is to build a stadium downtown and raze New Era and return it to sacred indian ground. It wouldn't hurt if we somehow worked Flutie into some big ceremony where he hands over the deed to the land. Everything will be healed and we will win like mad from there on.

Conspiracy theory means there is little to no proof though.

I know you're just denoting that those refs actually got caught on mic, so it is not a theory...but as a side note, conspiracy theory is a phrase that was created to keep people from looking into actual conspiracies. Just because someone labels something a conspiracy theory doesn't mean that there isn't actual proof of a conspiracy.

Ronnie Harmon drop against Cleveland in 89 playoffs. Rumor was Harmon was into bookies big.

That one I believe.   He actually looked the ball into and out of his hands. I heard that the FBI interviewed Harmon after that play and due to his 4 fumbles in the Rose Bowl.    There was smoke, but the investigation died for some reason.

The dope who slid down the railing in the upper deck was actually in cahoots with the people below, all in search of a big lawsuit/payday. He missed and landed in the wrong row, messing up their best laid plans. The rest is history. This is true.

As far as you know.

That’s way too out there that they planned that up....

Not exactly a conspiracy but I will forever wonder whose picks and trade down decision it was in 2017... great draft class, traded out of mahomes for tre white... how much did Whaley influence things.  If none, then McD would have drafted himself almost blind?  Where did he get his scouting reports if he didn’t rely on whaleys?  Tre white, z Jones, Dawkins, Milano... a good class.

also adding to intrigue is that peterman was taken... if he was mcDs choice, maybe that explains why he got SO many chances... would love to have been in the draft room and seen 2017 unfold.

Nov. 29, 1998 - “Just give it to them”.  I was in Foxboro for the game, wearing my Flutie jersey.  Never had so my beer bottles and cans hurled at me in my life.

The Bills trail all game, but Flutie completes a TD to Reed to take a 21-17 lead late in Q4.  With 6 seconds left, Bledsoe throws to Shawn Jefferson, who catches the ball on the 26, but clearly comes down out of bounds.  The officials huddle for a while, and one says, “Just give it to them.”

Then Bledsoe throws to Terry Glenn in the endzone - it falls incomplete with no time left, but they call interference on Henry Jones.  The NFL would later admit the call was a mistake, but the game can’t end on a defensive penalty.  Bledsoe throws the winning TD to Ben Coates, game over.

Wade was so pissed he took the team to the locker room before the PAT, whereby, with the Bills off the field, Carroll went for 2 points. That point was the difference between a push and the Patriots beating the spread.

If that wasn’t a conspiracy and total hose job by the league and the officials, I don’t know what is.

I guess the “Music City Miracle” is right up there...clearly a forward lateral...

I'm not sure you can even find a better way to generate bad karma then digging up an indian burial ground to be later used for entertainment purposes. Ironically tribe gets wiped out in the process.

Needless to say chief running Buffalo is not a happy camper...

The Bills lost SuperBowls because they were partying too much. Never mind that the Raiders were legendary partiers in the 70’s and 80’s but had little trouble winning.

As fans, the last thing we want to do is admit our team lost fair and square. There's ALWAYS an excuse. I'm as guilty as the next guy, but I don't think partying had much of anything to do with the Bills SB losses nor do I think we lost the first one because we took the Giants lightly. Belichick devised a masterful game plan and a kick sailed a few feet in the wrong direction.

Additionally, Thurman's wardrobe malfunction had nothing to do with the Redskins loss.

Sometimes, it is what it is.

Im not sure you all know what a "conspiracy theory" is ...

K. Davis has the best one.  Its in Four Falls of Buffalo.  He says just as Norwood made the kick, one of the military helicopters patrolling (we were at war with Iraq) swooped in and the rotor wash made the kick veer to the right.

Were there Giants fans in the cockpit?

The truth is out there!

I don’t know how this doesn’t come up more following the discovery of some of the rigging he apparently did while in college.

I don't know if it qualifies as a conspiracy theory, however, I believe that the refs in the Titans playoff game knew damn well it was an illegal forward pass but they were intimidated by the crowd. In those days the ref went under a little shroud or hood and looked at a tv monitor right near the stands. I think the refs decided not to call it back because they were scared of a violent reaction from the fans. Whether just bottle throwing or a full blown riot, whether they were just scared for their own safety or decided that an incident would look bad for the league, I believe the refs gave the Titans the game in spite of what they saw on the field and on the replay.

Yup...when he came out from under the hood, the official asked the head of security how many guards would he get to escort him out of the stadium..."six? never mind, that's six points for Tennessee."

One of the dumbest..... The peterman gang swearing up and down the bills O-line let the chargers defense tee off on #2 as a statement to the coaches.

Hold on now.. Those defensive lineman were mic'ed up and on record saying "he is not blocking me" "He let me right through" with plenty of video footage showing extremely little effort on some of the positions on that line that day.. Then when Taylor went back in there was a very noticeable difference in how that line played and nothing to do with how tyrod was playing..

If you remember days before Tyrod brought out the race card.. I think a couple of his lineman bought into that race card..  I had family at that game.. 6of them. They ALL say that line clearly did not give anywhere near even 75% of what they could do..

I am not saying this because I am any lover of Peterman.. I am saying this because it was that obvious.  3 days later this was even bought up on ESPN and NFL Network of the lineman just not trying..

If you think that it was just Mills on that side of the line playing the same old weak Mills then you have no clue..  Pressure came from left and right side of the line.. maybe you should go watch it again. There was 1 INT where the right side of the line was responsible but go watch..

That Russ Brandon chose Rex Ryan.

People who believe that have jumped on one line in a press conference and have ignored the preceding line where Pegula said "we said let's go for Rex". The Brandon line was taken totally out of context. All Brandon was doing was saying "when you think you have your guy you don't let him out of the building without signing something."

Well on both Jones and Dawkins we traded up ahead of Carolina........... THAT is the real conspiracy theory. Was Brandon Beane running the Bills' draft from Carolina? Remember then when we finally hired Beane the other guy who was interviewed was Brain Gaine.... who then joined Beane here as Director of Player Personnel (before returning to Houston as GM when Rick Smith stepped down for personal reasons). Is it possible that Beane already knew the job was his and McDermott was working off Beane's board for the most part? Then the Bills needed someone else to interview to keep up the pretence of a process and so picked a guy who they already knew was committed to coming along with Beane?

Now people might say "in which case passing on Mahomes (and Watson for that matter) was Beane's fault!" But think about it for a minute. Carolina had an established Franchise Quarterback one year removed from an MVP season. I doubt Beane and the rest of the Panthers FO spent much time at all on scouting QBs that season. Beane wasn't about to pin his career in Buffalo to a guy he had hardly scouted and spent no time with. Therefore he hatched a plan with McDermott to move back and try and load up on resources for the 2018 draft with a well thought of QB class.

I'm not saying it did happen... but a lot of pieces fit.

The kick would have been quite a bit easier on the MetroDome turf as opposed that grassy knoll. Wind was also blowing back and to the left which caused Norwood to overcompensate.
