Second, wait at that price and his injury history, wtf wouldn’t we just keep Cordy Glenn. It's the PFF stuff. I don't love the way they grade linemen honestly. I think a lot of it is misleading and skewed. It's an interesting system, but it is flawed in some areas. I guess their mindset was that moving Glenn had more to do with getting a QB than it did with his own play? That’s the only thing I can come up with. Glenn vs Morse situations aren't really comparable. The Glenn trade allowed us to trade up for Josh Allen. Franchise QB trumps all else. Also, I think fans and Beane and co. felt fine about moving Glenn because Dawkins filled in for him that year and there was little to no drop off, at a much cheaper price. With Morse, center is barren here. He is worth the risk as one of the better centers in the NFL. At a position of massive need. I know that a lot of people are clinging to the "we should not have traded Cordy Glenn." But do they like having Josh Allen? If the answer is yes, then they have to move on. Daboll took a year off to just be Scarnnechia's assistant in 2013 so he could study the different positions and learn how to best build a good offensive line and develop players. Along with new offensive line coach Bobby Johnson, Daboll will have to help develop Morse as a run blocking center as the Bills need to get the run game going in 2019. The Bills have good cap space for the next two years so these signing make total sense. The players are happy to sign here as they get loads of money right away. The team is happy as either they have great producers for little cap room in year 3-4, or they move on with little dead money. It makes total sense for the current situation. And yeah, there is that possibility you mention I sure hope doesn't happen though ha ha. Laurent Duvernay-Tardif (RG) was injured most of last year and his replacement did a good for much cheaper. The only thing with Allen is if you give him more time he is almost always going to try to push the ball downfield. Interesting problem to have for a change.
