I love that McDermott is willing to take on the risk for elite offensive talent rather than being a ****y

This really ends my main gripe with Beane and McDermott. I've been wanting them to show some balls and address building around the young talent with some home run acquisitions.

Exactly. This ain't a Mike Tomlin AB anymore. And JA has much more humility than Ben. Change of scenery for Brown.. could be great. Could cause issues. But worth it. I think we have the right 2 guys to do it compared to the Tomlin / Ben dynamic

Everyone knows Big Ben is a Douche Canoe.

We may find that AB just needs a change of scenery.  I'll be glad if it ends up being in Buffalo.

If this is true and happens this will be Beane:

Maybe A B will like the team culture and embrace it to spite Pittsburgh and Papa Bear Big Ben. I have a feeling the unquestioned authority Ben had there really irked him, especially as he got older.

That's the best possible attitude. He certainly has that chip to show Tomlin and Ben look at how I can behave and perform without y'all

First off, not that you need to know, but, divorced.

SECONDLY (see what I did there?) So far what I have concluded from your brilliant contributions to this board are that A) Everyone drinks. B) If you don't drink you can't possibly have fun (this is just gold). C) Everyone is married. D) My (ex) wife is a fatass.  Lol, and I thought cocaine was a hell of a drug. Apparently marijuana is just as bad.

Enjoy your weekend Spicoli. I'm done

A me-me guy like AB wants the ball.  Full stop.    Rothlesberger might be a prick, but he can / has delivered the ball.   Allen is a wet behind the ears 50%-accuracy on short to intermediate thow guy at this stage of his development.     Not a good fit, IMO...

Does anyone really think Brown will play nice with Allen if passes are getting thrown right by him and/or we're not winning?

That's the only thing I'm really worried about (other than him not showing up to camp at all).

Maybe we can float the Cardinals a third to swap his brain with Larry Fitzgerald's.

Please, quickly someone tell me an example where a 30+ hall of famer thrived on a new middle of the pack team so I can feel better about this trade if it happens.

Not a HOFer but a very good player and a great topical example would be the trade of WR Frank Lewis from Pittsburgh to Buffalo in 1978 at the age of 31. The Bills would win their first AFC East division title two years later...their first since 1966. History repeating? Eerily similar circumstances...

Myself personally, If everything works out I think AB is going to love Buffalo and Josh Allen.

I'd be inclined to think that that's a sign that Allen isn't improving in his second year, and if that's the case Brown's attitude about it is really the least of my worries.

My buddy who has some connections said "Its a no go" but hasnt gone into any further detail...

Yeah that's already the sense I'm getting.

AB posts "fake news."

Carucci says his sources say it's likely a no go.

I can't believe the royal screw up this is for Rap if this doesn't go through.

Pretty embarrassing.

Woke up to see this thread hopefully deal blows up. I can not state how much  I dislike this deal from Buffalo’s perspective.

This has got to be the other dude too, right? Or are there really multiple stoner pessimists in this thread now?

AB options as Twitter ridiculously overreacts and tries to tell us why AB going to Buffalo will lead to him retiring.....ok let's look at the other options if true:

1.  After telling us he needed to be the man in Pittsburgh, he's going to go to the Packers and share targets with Adams.....after getting salty JuJu became such a go to guy for Ben.  Plus, Brown doesnt help their defense and that they might be the 3rd best team in that division.

2.  The Raiders.  Lol ok Derek Carr has been a tire fire and so is the state of the team.  Worst team in the West.

3.  The Titans.  Mariota is terrible.  /story.

4.  Redskins.  Ok Case Keenum here you go.  Good luck guys.

5.  49ers.  Dont appear interested likely cap issues

6.  Jets.  Possible but probably dont or cant offer what we can.

Any place he ended up will be seen as laughable by the low info media and fans.  The Bills make the most sense for so many reasons.  A focused AB with an improved oline and we're a playoff team.

I heard somewhere that the Steelers would entertain offers until Friday but Buffalo had the best deal. Also it is a swap of 1s. Bills may be working out what they need to add

I could live with a swap of ones.....we are not going to get a better WR out of this draft then this guy....and it puts us at 20 where we can draft a OL or a TE and it would fit the value

Yep

However was Yolo said earlier and makes sense.  There's no way the Bills go through all this without asking the agent if he'd come. Especially if we offer to work on a new contract.
