GoodHands15
Chris Simms maid a point of saying after watching the film that everyone needed to keep their eye on #16 for the Buffalo Bills when they did their pod on this weeks picks. Consitant separation and ability to blow the top off defenses. imo. All it takes is 1 catch. 1 Deep ball. Once something clicks 1 time. In prime time. Flood gates can open.

He just didn’t have a position. He was a college TE that was the size of a tackle. He was very, very raw coming out but had a chance to be special based on his physical skills. Mike Jasper was the same way. I use him so that it doesn’t look like revisionist history. Sometimes elite physical traits translate and sometimes they don’t. Foster is a former 5-star that never lived up to his status at ‘Bama. He was an afterthought and a part-time player. He was a disappointment in his time there from what they expected. Hopes of him becoming a number 1 aren’t at all realistic. We should hope that he learns to track (and catch) the deep ball. If he can develop into a 3 or 4 that can stretch the field he can be a useful player going forward. That’s a ball that Allen is always going to throw. If he can run underneath a few he can be an asset. Foster’s ceiling is a less talented TJ Graham. His floor is a worse TJ Graham. Yeah maybe starter, speed threat and all. But a #1 needs to run all the routes. Idk if i've seen Foster run anything other than a streak.

John from Riverside
I hated the way earlier in the season how he would not fight for contested balls He did that today.....and you can see the difference in the offense when he does I would stick with him in development but draft receivers that have his speed with more size. Kelly the Dog
I'd like to see it a couple games in a row or at least a couple games the rest of the year but today was very encouraging on about three different levels. Still doesn't run good patterns but tracking the ball and timing was a big plus and surprise. Will be interesting how they use him the rest of the year. He surely has skills.

Absolutely. We can't rest on our laurels and hope the receiver Corps is going to be great. Draft recievers with the best natural talent, and don't just bank on Foster and Zay being Mike Evans and Desean Jax. Cause they're so far away and never going to be that caliber. just draft the next Mike Evans.

starrymessenger
Nice to see the kid have a big game and help the team get untracked on offence. He worked his limited but important role - stretching the field - very well today needless to say. Though he also tracked the ball well for a change I have to go back and check but I think he was still catching with his arms, gathering the ball into his body, instead of his hands. # 1 WRs use their hands. Kelly the Dog
The first play was really great tracking in the air and very good over the shoulder basket catch. Everyone is claiming how good Barkley was. A good pass there is a 70 yard TD.

1st Ammendment NoMas
A solid #3 stretch the field WR, that his ceiling. Zay as a #2 and we need to go get a true #1 and a dominant TE.

Victory Formation
Foster can be a respectable #3, I think. He's nowhere close to that now but I think he can get there if he works at it.

I think we to find a contested catch player, either at TE or WR I was a big advocate of going after Tyrell Williams in FA, he is a proper field stretching speedster, but also a good WR, maybe Foster could fill that role.

But your post says "THE number one," I guess meaning our best receiver. Yeah, I would give that a smaller but not miniscule chance of happening. 49 minutes ago, mrags said: I don’t remember Foster catching any ball at all earlier in the season. Magox
Not a number one. But he has shown an ability to separate on downfield passes and if hes able to consistently haul in passes he can have a decent future in the league.
