and if you don’t have video, women beating is a 2 game suspension.

and roger Goodell makes $44 million!

Who got a 2 game suspension for beating a woman?

I'm surprised that you aren't blaming the University of Pittsburgh.

Personally, beating a woman/ child/ dog should all be lifetime bans.  I hate to say it but I get more upset when animals die in movies than people.  That I am Legend scene with his dog still gets me. ?

That's a tough scene....

I almost went to the University of Pittsburgh!  It’s good school!  He obviously learned this alleged behavior from the eagles.  ?

And ray rice originally received a 2 game suspension.  The billion dollar organization of the nfl led by the $44 million man couldn’t get a video from a casino that somehow TMZ was able to find.

Yea, you’re still wrong.

Downplaying Shady’s significance to the Bills is a complete joke of a take.

He's a good player, but his significance to the Bills has been greatly exaggerated.  And he turns 30 tomorrow.

What is this, "Logan's Run?"  Once an NFL player turns 30 they're automatically cut, regardless of whether or not they can still play at a Pro Bowl/All Pro level?

Still productive.   Still better than anything else on the roster, by a large margin...

This clown got the boot. Sadly some other team will pick him up. Allegedly he punched a guy walking out of a bar in the face for no reason.

kneeling is a lifetime ban only for the instigator, there are hundreds of followers who are not banned.

Following him as an Eagle as I live in Philadelphia, I always knew he was bit of a ****ty person.  This wouldn't surprise me in the least if he was behind it...lawyer up Shady, you're gonna need it...

You also know how serious he is at his craft and how he prepares as hard as anyone in the league. You also must know he isn't a dummy and I just don't see him putting his career at risk over this...

We know for a fact he wasn't at the scene , everything else is pure speculation at this point.

Unfortunately, Home invasions happen every minute in this country, especially at luxury homes like the one in GA.

Yup and I wanted to trade him last year instead of Sammy.  His value was rapidly decreasing before this.

FWIW, Twitter says Shady hired a prominent defense attorney in Atlanta

Given what her attorney is pulling, that's not the least bit surprising.  Only a total moron would try to manage this himself.

Here's the thing, you'd think he'd be smarter than that, I mean there are court records about the eviction and its obviously obvious that he has a "thing" over this stupid !@#$ing jewelry - There are a lot of urban legends out there about him - and I didn't say he was guilty.  I did say he has a track record is a little...shady...

And everyone in the NFL prepares, give me a break, no one makes it there on luck...weak sauce.

Do u watch him play? He hasn't lost 1/10th of a step, he looked fantastic last year and he doesn't get HIT like other RB. His vision and i.q and elusiveness allow him to avoid big shots on a weekly basis.

Look no further than his 17th game of the year last year versus the best D in the league ,when at halftime Simms and Burleson say he was the best player on the field. He is the most valuable player on the Bills, is this even debatable? He's a generational talent, his age is irrelevant.

I'm just going off his coaches and peers, plenty have said his preparation is second to none when getting ready for the season.

The last thing I’d associate with McCoy is making smart decisions off the field.  Most of his career has been filled with stupid off the field stuff.  And if we’re all being honest, you know you can make a bad decision in the blink of an eye.

McCoy just got off getting in a fight with cops.  He also has had other issues with women.  Dude probably thinks he is untouchable (again if he had anything to do with this).

According to the myth busters dictionary it means maybe.

He got to the definition, not on his own, and by the time he got there he had forgotten what he had said. So its still plausible that she beat herself up, had someone call the police for her, and is now in emergency care, after beating herself up.

He won, he said check mate, so he won.

Agreed.   If it's nothing more than to file a counter defamation claim, let alone address the stuff the GF's attorney is putting out...

Ray Rice.  Got 2 games for assault, and 14 more for having the unmitigated gall to be caught doing it on video.

And if he wasn’t on the downside of his career, he would have been given another shot like Hardy or Joe Mixon.

to be fair... who the hell memorizes definitions. why would you hold it against somebody to cite a dictionary to prove a point that what he said makes sense?

do you usually have an arsenal of definitions ready to recite for the words that you use?

I don't agree or disagree with either one of you. but making fun of somebody for going and getting a definition to strengthen their argument is sorta lame on your part.

Eric Reid, a 26 year old former 1st rounder who went 18th overall, doesn’t have a job.

Here we go with this whiny BS again. There are many safeties that had great years unsigned.

Who cares? Maybe he just sucks.  You beat the same horse in any thread that you can.  It's dead.  The maggots are dead.  From dust to dust,  man.

I don't know Shady personally, so he gets benefit of the doubt.  There's a whole lot of doubt here.  Like the guy who was accused of the ATL Olympic bombing, there may be many who have to apologize.   I know these pro athletes run on a fast track, and many "associates" would envy his success, and try to smear his rep.  Let's see what happens.  I see the Bills at 7-9 with Shady, and 5-11 without him.  I prefer the latter record really.

Haha, here we go with the memes.

im not trying to side track this but: who is saying Kaepernick is a hero??? He created awareness for an issue.  But again in a league where dudes who beat women are given second chances, why is a guy silently protesting with no legal issues not?  Also what does it say about these so called “patriots” that they get more upset about Kaepernick than they do about Joe Mixon or the Giants kicker Josh Brown?  Or that a lot of the same people who killed Kaepernick supported Rosanne when she got cancelled?  The same Rosanne who completely disrespected the anthem.

and I fully salute Coffee and don’t mean to dismiss him in anyway.  But he wasn’t exactly a McCoy type rb who was a lock to a 10 year player.

Along with Vacarro and Boston which is a market condition thing for safeties.    There are hundreds of guys in the NFL who have kneeled.  How do you explain that?

You shouldn't feel like Marshall. He would have chewed your damn head off if you didn't use Oxford, any U of T English prof would have.

Next your going to tell me that Oxford University press publishes plenty of style guides, which are not the Chicago Manual, and that those guides are fine, as well.

Its your opinion, and you are entitled to it, but come on man, no writer or editor worth their salt uses Merriam or Chicago.

You really should stop digging. I'll stop after saying one more thing: Webster's New World College Dictionary is the OFFICIAL DICTIONARY of the AP, NYT, and WSJ -- the three main news organizations in the country. They employ a lot of editors too, or so I hear. (Also, please try to refrain from putting words in my mouth.)

Fair point but he never put his career in jeopardy. And there was a reason that bar fight wasn't taken by the DA because as widely reported, it's likely the off duty cops were the aggressors and instigated it. Other than that, he never did anything to jeopardize his team and career ,and that was deemed justified by the league and DA...

I was worried yesterday, thinking he could have been there and just lost his temper but this would have had to been a premeditated attack , thought out by McCoy on the early morning of their next court appearance!! They were supposed to meet in court yesterday, which I believe was going to probably be cancelled by his Ex GF attorney because of a family issue on her end. I can't see McCoy being that stupid, I could be wrong, anything is possible , but I personally don't see it
