When will an owner speak out against this blatant favoritism for the *Patriots

I've often wondered why the other owners would put up with one or two franchises getting so much favoritism. Makes no sense.

Why do you think deflategate the response was soo strong. Owners jealous or that despised NE used that as their chance to hit them at the time.

So you actually believe that the Patriots committed zero penalties on either offense or defense the entire game.  I think you're the one that needs the tinfoil hat.

Where did I say that I believe there were no missed calls  ?   Every game has missed calls because the refs are human .  The tinfoil hat is for those people who stupidly believe that there is a massive conspiracy with the implicit agreement of 31 team owners and the officiating organization to prop up the Patriots .

Per the NFL, the Patriots' one penalty is the fewest in a playoff game since 2011, when the Patriots were called for one in a victory over Baltimore.

That's why Bouye was particularly upset at what he said he saw Amendola do.

"I'm going to defend my teammates," Bouye said. "You all see it on TV, the one where Amendola head-butted Gip. Right after the whistle was blown. Right in front of them. I'm just asking how you going to let them do that?

Its obvious that the NFL aka National Football Entertainment has their heal  that everyone loves to hate just like the wwe.

There were reports of players from other teams reaching out to certain Jags players after the game to rant about blatant no calls and questionable calls made in favour of the Pats.

My question is when will an owner speak out against this blatant favourtism for this team?

My answer is.... they wont because they are getting paid no matter what! The NFL is just sports entertainment, its liscensed as such, same as the WWE.

Time to tune out to anything NFL unless its Bills related!

Better question...when will all the conspiracy theories stop?

I find it funny that people think the NFL, which ALL teams have a vote in, is risking BILLIONS AND BILLIONS of dollars to rig the game for one team.  The league is dead if it comes out.

Yes, Pats and Brady get calls in their favor...but so do all teams.  We fixate on the Pats because everyone hates them so much.  But truth is, it happens every Sunday in every game.  People should be making the same claims about Jordan too, he used to get every ticky tack call and phantoms calls all the time.  And he had a sports gambling addiction, so where is all the scandal of cheating or rigging around him?  Oh yeah, it stopped after he retired because it happened around him outside Chicago by all fans who hated him dominating them too.

Not to mention, the commissioner went hard core after Brady over 2 years, so its pretty clear they aren't favoring them.  They could have let it go so many times along the way, but didn't.

I guess its easier for some to accept how good they are by just assuming every action is cheating or rigged.  But BB and Brady are the best NFL duo ever, and probably the best Coach/Player duo in any sport all time.

That worked out well for them

Haha yea. From the people I read like Peter King, Clayton, and other major insiders what I can put together is there is about a good 8-12 owners just straight up jealous of NE or hate them and the moment they had anything they they could throw at them they did. Personally all it seemed to me to do was reinvigorate NE which was the last thing I wanted and also expanded the leagues power to an unhealthy point that could hurt other teams in the future.

I see you're getting flamed for this but I agree 100% with what you're saying here.   He is the best that's ever done it.  I enjoy disliking him as a Bills fan, but I also appreciate how good he is at what he does.  Just a bad draw that he gets to do it against my team twice a year.

I'm looking forward to whoever is the next best thing in 10-15 years. Gotta be someone who wins a ring or two young to stack up 4-5 rings, hopefully while also being undefeated in the SB and breaking all of Manning's career and single-season records in the process.

If a new team could 3 peat in the process that would help a lot as well. Let's have it be the Bills, if possible. IS this all asking too much?

NE is always near the top in fewest penalties. It's a reflection of great coaching, super discipline, and intelligent players.

How about the punch to James White's head after his TD? I don't recall a flag for that?

Again, the refs only called the blatant violations. This was one of the best officiated games of the entire season. If Bouye and his mates wore different jerseys, he would be boasting what great plays they were.

Complaining about the refs is what the loser mentality does to you. (Players, I mean. Not YOU).

If the refs called all the tacky-tack fouls, the Jags would have had 200 yards in penalties and the game would have been a blowout in the Pats' favor.

Again!  There were BLATANT holds in this game that weren't called.  1 penalty and none on the offense or defense.  That is statistically significantly outrageous.  That you can't see that makes me think you might be a cheats fan.

Also that you're from Maine.  I smell a cheater.

it is hard to believe in a sport as competitive as the NFL with all the parity measures in place that one team can be this dominant this long without some kind of illicit advantage. Sooner or later this will become a credibility problem for the league

It will stop when Brady and Belichick retire...we've known this for years now.....until then, the AFC is a NE world and we're just living in it....

Having said that, I think the Eagles will beat them in 2 weeks....they looked unstoppable yesterday....even B+BB won't be able to stop that machine....at least, I hope so....

Yankees, Celtics, Montreal Canadiens.....it's happened before...I do agree that if you look at what spot NE has been drafting for 17 years....and doing it on a 1st place schedule ( granted, the AFCE is generally a disaster ) year in and year out, their run gives the middle finger to the idea of " parity " .....

I've been a Pats fan since Grogan.

I haven't heard a single Jags player complain about being held by the o-line or any PI. All the interviews I've heard and read it's always, "I can't believe only 1 penalty." Bouye complained about Dola hitting someone in the head. That's it. You only mention those "holds" because you don't like the Pats. If it had been the other way around you would have called it "great blocking."

The only thing that the Jags can legitimately can complain about was the whistle on the Lewis fumble. However, as many shows have pointed out, it didn't look like the refs even knew the Jags had the ball.

Still harping on the cheating fantasies too, huh? I guess you still believe in the Tooth Fairy too? That's all I'll say about that since this is a Bill's MB.

I agree complaining about the refs is pathetic, but the Pats are usually among the most penalized teams.

It's quite intrinsic in their disbelief.  Look at the video at the end, clear and blatant holding as it was during the whole game.  Pathetic.

Yeah, a fairy tail...The NFL wanted to destroy the golden goose by causing controversy, and Tom Brady destroyed his phone because he always destroys his phone even though he had earlier versions in tact.  Live in your own world, just like every other Pats fan.

I told a knowledgeable Bills fan that I was here because I realize that the Bills are becoming a real team again. No longer a trash heap like the Jets will continue to be, or a flukey 1 and done like the Dolphins were. The Bills are building their way back to respectability and will probably (once they get a QB) take over as the class of the AFCE in a couple years when TB and BB retire.

By mentioning Brady's phone, it's clear that you only paid attention to the initial report about the phone and not the part when Ted Well$ told us that he told Brady that he no longer needed the phone. 10K + texts and emails were taken from Brady's phone. In his report, Well$ even praised Brady for his level of cooperation.

I suppose that kick wasn't wide right either?

Brady destroyed the phone to make sure that there was no other chance that someone can ask him for the phone.  Even if Wells told he didn't need the phone at the time.  Again, why destroy the phone and come up with a phony excuse? Even after Wells came out to say that, the judge wasn't buying it.

Secondly, go away!  The Pats are a bunch of cheaters and it will forever stain the legacy.  Brady will not be the GOAT in my book as there are "more likely than not" and we are all "generally aware" they cheat in ways they can to get a leg up.

Jerry Jones just threw away ALL of his political capital in the owners' club room over a friggin running back, because he was certain this year's Cowboys team would be good enough to go to the SB.  Other owners were even hinting that he could have his franchise taken from him over his antics...

....and he's going to ri\oll over so Bob Kraft and the pats (who he hates) can be escorted into every SB for the foreseeable future??

I’m not a Pats/cheaters guy.  I think B.B. pushes the envelope more than most, but every team tries to gain advantage in whatever way the can.  Spy gate was properly punished, imo. Deflate gate was nothing.

When will all the conspiracy theories STOP!

The NFL is 1 million percent not helping the Pats win.  Does anyone even understand how stupid of a statement that is?  The NFL is worst Billions and Billions of dollars.  The Commissioner works for all 32 teams.

  1. The NFL is NOT going to risk BILLLLLLLLIONNNNNS to help one team win.  If they did, the league would be over and they lose everything.
  2. The other THIRTY ONE team owners are not going..."Hmmmmm...we are the biggest sport in this country, but lets have the commissioner help the Pats win more because we MIGHT make a FRACTION more in ratings by them being in the Super Bowl."
  3. The amount of money they make by a higher rating is PEANUTS compared to what the league makes in a season.  You guys think the league is going to risk EVERYTHING to get a slight boost to ratings?  LMAO

Seriously...these theories are hilariously ridiculous.  When you are an Elite player, an Elite team, etc...sure you get more calls.  Happens in every sport and someone in another thread brought up the Jordan led Bulls where Jordan got all kinds of phantom calls and BS fouls called in his favor.  And News Flash:  ALL teams in the NFL get calls just like the Pats do every single week, its not just the Pats.  But some of you let the Pats affect your life WAY too much and you fixate just on them.  Yet all of you also think the Refs hate the Bills in every single game, ever single season, not just against the Pats.

The NFL is NOT rigged for the Pats.  Take a breath, go out side, and stop letting the Pats impact your lives so much.  Its just a game.

PS:  The NFL and ALL SPORTS are ENTERTAINMENT.  They are the ones playing the game...why...so fans can be entertained by watching it, spend money to watch, and the league makes money.

The calls made against Jacksonville were correct in every case (heck the fumble could have been overturned imo)........

The issue however is non-calls.  There were very few replays of close calls (outside the 4th down play by Gilmore, which was not a penalty).

There were a # of plays where calls could have been made and yes never seen a Pat get a holding call......

How exactly would that fumble been overturned?

When your grand-child asks you what was Tom Brady like ?  Cheater Will you say he was the best ever? No Will you say he sucked but the refs made his career ?  No

I'll say he played his entire career in an organization dedicated to systematic cheating.  I'll say that he learned to play the position of quarterback for years knowing what defense was called and getting information in his headset until right before the snap, some of which likely continued on through his entire career.  I'll say imagine how many other QBs could have had great records/stats if they learned to play QB in the NFL under similar circumstances.  I'll say that probably just scratches the surface of other advantages through cheating he''s had his entire career.  I'll say his success also includes the most unbelievable incredible string of breaks due to officiating, stupid opponent coaches, his kicker, and baaaaarrrreeely missed plays the history of sports has ever seen.  I'll say similar to Mark McGwire and Lance Armstrong, his accomplishments should be completely discounted and he should be shunned as a pariah, not a hero.  I'll say the mere mention of him as GOAT makes me ill.  Hopefully by the time I have grandkids I'll be able to say finally the whole truth came out by the time you were born.

By players we've mostly never heard or care about in schools almost none of us attended in places we've never cared to visit.

I don't get this statement.  Why would you possibly care about NFL Players?  You think they care about you?  College sports has a ton more passion than pro sports these days.  It is not even close, & if you were fortunate enough to go to school that has a D-1 team it is pretty awesome routing for them.  Much better than routing for spoiled millionaires(the players) & even more spoiled billionaires(the owners) that could give 2 sh*ts less about the average fan.

Sorry but the overall body of evidence of the past 16 years flat outs refutes this post.  No team in the history of sports has benefitted from poor calls as the Patriots have, it started with the fumble against the Raiders & continues with the blown whistle that was in error that cost the Jags the winning TD.  Spygate, tapes are destroyed, deflategate, they get a slap on the wrist.  I am not quite sure what the league's incentive is to make sure the Patriots are on top, who knows maybe Kraft has the negatives of Goodell & his gay lover in bed, but the evidence is overwhelming at this point.
