He went undrafted because of his size, but this dude is a baller. Incredible instincts, athleticism, blitz ability, and tackling. I think if he can put on a little weight, he can become one of the steals of the draft. Love that we got him.

I like him at the weight he is and let him play strong safety. I've read a lot on how the strong safety in todays NFL is often asked to play certain linebacker roles - so to me he's that. I don't see him as a linebacker or edge pass rusher.

I don't think he has the speed to play DB, I think his only bet is to put on some weight and be a pass rush specialist of some type.

According to NFL.com, he's "missing the sand in his pants." Apparently, that's a bad thing.

I just got off a boat in Florida and spent an hour or so on a sand bar. I can confirm sand in your pants can be unpleasant. Now I need a nap.

Did y'all see the little spot they did on Striker at the end of the Draft on ESPN? Really good kid...Happy he's going to get his chance with my team... B-)

agree, Glad Bills are giving him the shot. I would be pleased to see it work out somehow. But this is the NFL and only so many players can be on out team

That will be totally missed by the youngins!

LOL

Then I don't see him making the team.

he will based on the need for depth. He might be a baller in the NFL if he puts on weight which im sure they are telling him what to do. well see in pre-season how well he does that will be his final test.

I don't think he'll be a linebacker in the NFL I see him as a hybrid safety. Another poster mention Bryan Scott - that's an excellent comparison.

I could certainly be wrong and they see him as a backup for Hughes' position - with added weight as you suggest.

He's definitely an interesting player and someone I'll be watching for sure.

Agree its gonna be a fun pre-season to watch all these new pieces and how they end up fitting in, the article they wrote on Striker was cool they had him in a "magic" formation where he could roam around and "do whatever he wanted" that must have made his instincts pretty sharp I hope he makes it.

Actually, I think it is a compliment. I think when you fall down/fall, if you get sand in your pants it means you whine and complain about your misfortune--sand gets in your pants lying on the ground moaning and complaining. Lacking sand in your pants therefore means the guy is tough, and gets up and fights back under duress. But that's just a guess/

From the limited amount I've seen on him, he seems like a guy we could use like the Cardinals use Deone Bucannon. A special teams ace and a potential nickle ILB. Surprised he went undrafted when those type of players are currently the rage (guys like Neal and Lee going in the top 20).

A little more speed and this guy could be a solid SS but too undersized in todays NFL for LB. We have seen what happens at this level to the smaller LB's- they get mowed over and blown out. I am glad they are giving him a shot but dont see him stickin unless he can bulk up and maintain his 4.8 speed.

“If you draft me, I’m going to bring a shot of adrenaline to your defense — a shot of energy,” Striker wrote in a pre-draft article for The Players’ Tribune. “I’m a high-motor guy on the field and a high-energy guy in the huddle, in the weight room and on the practice field. There are some things you can’t teach. You can’t teach heart. You can’t teach hustle. You can’t teach having a relentless motor that never, ever quits.”

Very good players are not drafted every year for one reason or another. This is one of those players.

This kid can really play!!

Check out the video highlights on him.....and it's not like he didn't play with and against some of the best players in the country.

Striker is considered one of the top ten UDFA for 2016. In fact, he's listed at no. 5. I would put him at no. 1.

This kid could have easily been a R2 or R3 draft pick.

He'll be an excellent ST player at the very least this year. He's fast, aggressive, and knows how to get to the QB.

I see him as a rotational pass rusher and special teams player, his best attribute is bending the edge using his lower body flexibility and maintaining his balance, he also has very good short area quickness. He does not have the long speed to play safety or full time LB IMO, his instincts could allow him to play a joker role, but he will get eaten alive as a linebacker on contact blocks (lack of sand in his pants).

A couple examples in the video of his ability to bend the edge, his balance and flexibility is outstanding: :54, 1:18, 1:30, 1:45, 1:56, 2:31 (turns the edge then cuts on a dime and flattens to make the play on the back), 3:01 his get off is outstanding then he bends "the U" or "Hook" and makes the play, IMO this is his most impressive play I have seen of his, his body angle to the ground around the edge is amazing, its rare to be able to do that then cut back up-field and make a play like this.

Seems like a great kid.... but 227 lbs and a 4.8 forty aren't a winning combination.

Maybe a pro training regimen can make him bigger, faster.

If he can put on 10-15 lbs he's in London Fletcher territory.
