HappyDays
Not really a fan of this. Lewis and Rapp are not guys you sign on day zero of FA. If they sign elsewhere so be it, we can find cheaper options on day 3 of the draft or in late stage FA. McDermott is a little too obsessed with continuity at depth positions IMO. 4 11 13

BuffaloBillyG
So, we can sign any FA out there and we're spending the early hours of FA on extensions and bringing back our own guys.  Tells me we are NOT looking to be aggressive in the least. To the draft .. 1 5 1

SCBills
4 minutes ago, Aussie Joe said: Joe Marino will be happy … has been riding this guy hard for weeks  I like Joe Marino a lot, but I hate his roster construction views. Unfortunately he's pretty accurate in how we seem to approach roster building. It's good if you want a strong team that makes the playoffs and is a contender each year. Aside from the Von move that blew up in our face, it's too reliant on good-not great players and depth vs trusting draft picks & UDFA's to have more high end guys.  It's VERY clear we need more high end guys.   Edited March 11 by SCBills

But you need bodies for camp, and some vet competition for rookies to get a good read on exactly where they stand.  Just because we brought him back doesnt mean he stays, or that we are done addressing the position. 2
Process
This is fine. We need DB depth. Unlike Neal he can actually play, and costs less.  We now have a starting safety and a backup. Still needs another one of each.

Just because we brought him back doesnt mean he stays, or that we are done addressing the position.  I know we have to pay for some depth, I just don't know why we are rushing to get these sorts of players re-signed. Give it until next week and then sign the best available depth DB for the vet minimum. Better yet wait until after the draft and see what's left. I keep seeing people say "no way the Bills can use 11 draft picks, there isn't room on the roster" but that's only true because of the likes of Lewis and Rapp. I would rather get as cheap as possible at those depth spots and spend our cap space on a real difference maker. Bruffalo
Cam Lewis is probably my least favorite Bill of all the guys on the team who don't see play.  I know we shouldn't judge a player by a single paly but the 4th down against Jefferson where he doesn't bat the ball is a cuttable offense.   I don't feel good with him taking snaps. I don't understand what McDermott sees.

Eastport bills
He knows the system and has a role. I don’t remember him being on the positive end of too many plays though. Bills fan should get ready for a procession of dumpster dive signings like this and Morris. If Beane signs a skill position low end driftwood player, that’s a problem. We need a few impact guys. Just my opinion though, obviously the Bills disagree.  I'm not mad they resigned him, it hopefully will matter little as he won't see play. I would have gone in a different direction, I'll take potential over known bad play at the bottom of the roster all day.

Well enough that some thought he would actually be the Hyde replacement. Sal C made that prediction. I won’t go that far, but he’s definitely a good depth piece on the rise.
