Fifty-three-year-old Mahomes, Sr. was charged Saturday with at least his third DWI, according to Smith County records. He was issued a $10,000 bond. It was not immediately clear if he had been released. Mahomes, Sr. played in Major League Baseball from 1992 to 2003. This is a developing story. NoHuddleKelly12
Sad. Alcohol used to excess is bad enough without adding a vehicle to the mix—he’s lucky it wasn’t worse, like Andy Reid’s kid causing that awful dwi wreck a few years back. I have a relative who just finished his 3rd detox tour in as many months and is now at a long term sober living facility—that addiction has caused him to lose a lot in his life. 😞.

muppy
oh dear. Well a third DWI is serious business. When will the consequences be severe enough to induce a change in his alcohol use. Denial isn't just a river in Egypt dude needs help but that may include prison. Noone wants police intervention in their life but this guy clearly didn't get it and needs stop. Somehow.

I am thinking of Benitez when he was that new raw guy who would come in in the 8th inning to set up John Franco. he was such an exciting player then. But I agree that when he shifted to being a closer, it was too up and down. also, how about some love for Dennis Cook?! Cookie was the ying to Wendell’s Yang. He was supposed to be a stud starting pitcher when he came up with the Twins and had good a strong arm that kept getting him chances.......but his fastball was straight as an arrow. I was always delighted to see him come in against the Yankees. That said, the guy loved baseball and kicked around the minors and independent leagues for a LONG time after his major league career was over. Every time I've seen him in relation to something Patrick is doing he has that familiar addled manor you see in old drunks. That's probably why you don't see a lot of him. I think Andy Reid missed a day of camp and asked that training camp continue in his absence, then re-joined the team pretty shortly Far as I know, none of the Reids actually killed anyone though, the younger son came about as close as one can come without actually (permanently disabled a little girl, who spent weeks in a coma)
