I've come to accept our offensive scheme relies on Allen too much

It's taken me a while but our scheme just basically relies on Allen to be a superhero too much. Basically if he is off, or the other team has a great scheme against him, we have a hard time consistently playing well on offense.

Sure we will get our plays because Allen is still Allen. But it's got to the point that we need to stop taking that for granted and get him some help.

It's like when you have a great worker who can make up for 3 people being out by piling more work on him.

Sure...that works for a while but then you eventually burn that worker out and when something comes up that needs all his attention other areas start failing since he can't bail them out.

I guess what I am saying is we need more answers on offense that don't include Josh Allen being an alien, because our offense relies on that more than any other in the NFL.

Fix the OL, I mean LEGITIMATELY FIX the OL, and this team performs a lot different. He's running for his life every week. He was hurried on over 50% of his drop backs today and hit numerous times. This is after the disaster we saw last week.

We have maybe two starting-caliber OL right now in Dawkins (who is massively overrated) and Morse. Brown is solid but I think he's been playing hurt this season.

The defense will fall in the rankings, but you win SB's with offense these days.

Defence can’t get much worse than today , so there is that as well

Did you just say Spencer brown is solid?..

Brown is surely part of the problem. Bates is meh. Saffold definitely needs to be sent packing. Hopefully Morse comes back. This offseason is going to be huge in how this team moves forward. Either we see the necessary sweeping changes or they continue with the same failed experiments at various positions.

This all day.

The ONLY possible position I want to see drafted on defense in the first 3 picks is safety, that's it. The draft should be heavy on Oline and weapons, period

It is because that is how this Coach and Front office Built it.

Allen and Diggs.

worst OL in the playoffs (yes worse than MIA and CINCY with their BUs).

worst weapon group in the playoffs.

bit ***** so glad we keep investing in Defense because you know in this NFL the defense becomes immediately irrelevant against Top offenses.

The only touchdown was a QB sneak, and the padded “Josh turns the ball over” needless INT at the end to keep that truthful narrative alive and well means this offensive is in need of something positive. So looking forward to what that actually is, you know, by all those gray hoodie guys that get paid to do their jobs well.

All they had to do was run it with Singletary with quick hitters more often and throw shorter methodical passes in this weather.  Look at the percentage of yards Mahomes, Hurts and others have in their offenses.  I don't agree this is a problem but I understand everyone is upset about the loss.

Our strength is our offense. Defense just needs to be serviceable. First off, we need a better OC. One who can scheme players open and has more creative looks. Who that is? I don’t know.

secondly, we need a better o line who can establish the run. Tbh, we should probably go o line in rounds 1 and 3.

thirdly, we need a WR 2. Gabe ain’t it. He’s a number 3. Draft one in the second round this year IMO. You also need to consider this position takes a couple years to develop and Diggs probably won’t get an extension. So this position needs to be invested in

That's how KC does it. However their DC gets the most out of his talent in big games unlike Frazier who seems to do that until we play a really good offense, then he gets exposed.

When you spend nearly 70% of you FA / Draft assets on a failed playoff defense that's the result.  Let's sign some mediocre Jags on the OL and ask Josh to be superhuman.  What could possibly go wrong. For nearly 5 years Sean was selfish and put his defensive needs ahead of protecting QB1.  Shame on you Sean.

I agree with the OLINE, SAFFOLD & MORSE can go. Move Bates to center and bring in two nasty big guards.

We still need to address DLINE, their is no I'm going to destory the man in front of me attitude.

It's the trenches we need tough aggressive linemen on both sides.

Josh wants to do crazy things. When you have a kid that acts out, he needs more discipline and structure. Not someone to enable them and say yea do whatever you want. It's chaos out there

Just said this to my son, Daboll was a father figure, Dorsey is like an older brother.

Josh needs to be reined in and re introduced to the short game. I feel a large part of that is Dorsey. This years O was anything but a well oiled machine.

I totally disagree with this take of yours and you can go back to the last few SB's for actual proof. It was the defense of the Rams that won that SB last year, 7 sacks and were in Burrows face all game long. The Bengals defense were also really good with 2 sacks, 2 INT and that's why the game was so close.

How about the Bucs vs Chiefs SB? 3 sacks, 2 INT, 0 TD passes or rushing TD and they harassed Mahomes the entire game. Brady only threw for 201 yards yards that game. To think we can just let the defense ***** the bed and hope to win a SB like that is stupid. Make smart moves in FA like another Lorax pickup or something like that because there is no way we can afford to re-sign everyone.

At this point, why would we invest more resources with the current regime? Helping Josh Allen should be the primary focus

We need bigger DLINE, Look at the JETS, EAGLES, Baltimore and others. Our Dline gets pushed around too much.  Trade Oliver, get rid of Basham, release Lawson.  Draft a true run stuffer and bring in some different pass rushers that can play the run as well. It seems like we get guys that can do 1 or the other.

I think its hard to judge the offense for a couple reasons.   Josh's injury.   to many games he didnt practice.   to many games in general because of weather and other issues the team lost practice days.

Dorsey, i dont care what stats say about this year.   He's in way over his head.   Its like we took the worst of Daboll with no upside.

no idea how to scheme.  no idea how to integrate the players we have.   I think it took a few games this year for Defenses to figure out

Dorsey and after that the offense only looked good due to some amazing plays by Allen.

As i said before in the post i created..i really dont think the Bills were ever as good as we thought they were, especially the Defense.

Half way through the season we over valued the teams they had played.

Sean takes pride in those D stats as a reflection of himself. Whether they translate to playoff wins, I think we see through that facade.

ok, but I remember constant issues with "play calling" and "scheme" when he was here.  What specifically did the team accomplish with Dabol they did not this year?

Nothing. But almost no one will care to admit it. Basically mirror images the last 2 year stats.

Fact dude.

We have had worse seasons wrt how we ended them since 2020 w our loss at KC.

Our d was ranked 2 in 2018, with young scrubs who we ended up paying.

Our team is like a one note band, and we can't adapt.  That's on coaching and the fo.

That went out the window when the defense gave up two long, time consuming touch down drives to start the game. From that point on time and possessions were at a premium.

I never thought that we wouldn't miss him. Daboll is in a different universe than Dorsey

So you think that a first time playcaller has zero room to grow and adapt? Lucky that wasn't what people thought of Daboll. He would have never coached in the NFL after his first few stints as OC.

Newsflash. Coaches just like players tend to grow and adapt especially after their first season.
