You give up 14 catches to the only player that everyone knows you have to defend in a game where 3/4 was commanded by a backup QB or the starter with one leg, you're not a great coach.

Dude the talent gap between the Jags and everyone else in the afc playoffs is huge.  That player burns everyone.  They will only get better.

Trevor Lawrence is horribly overrated

If he doesn’t step into a throw, he dirts every pass and has below average arm strength

85% of the gameplan is screen passes then they take a shot or 2

That team is horrible. IDK how they made it this far. They let Chad friggin Henne drive 98 yards on them for a TD.

It’s only fitting we have to beat the Chiefs to make the Super Bowl.

Nothing fitting about it. The Bills already beat the Chiefs this season. Jacksonville just played too poorly to take advantage of a great opportunity that a better team certain would have.

Every play I mentioned in that post was a product of the Jags failing, not the Chiefs making plays. Obviously the Chiefs are a great team. They have also gotten lucky a bunch this year. But hey maybe it's finally our turn, if we get hobbled Mahomes I consider that even for the loss of Miller and Hyde.

F that. I want to beat that Kermit sounding asshat at full strength.

Kielce destroyed them.  I don’t think there is any way to defend him.

Unpopular view, probably, but Kelce didn’t destroy the Jags.  He had 98 yds on 14 catches - he’s good, and he’s hard to stop, but other teams (cough) have given up >100 yds to Kelce and Smith-Schuster - and won (ahem)

What killed the Jags were 2 turnovers, dropped catches, a couple of horrible penalties, and some crap tackling.

And while the penalties were horrid, the Jags could likely have overcome them.

Lawrence missed quite a few throws today that would have sustained drives. He was completely average.

Seemed odd, didn’t it, that the Jags never came close to Mahomes again after he went back in?

After he got hurt, I thought they made a concerted effort to call a quick, controlled offense to make sure he wasn't holding hte ball for more than a couple seconds

Agree, but JA did the same thing to the Dolphins last season… but this was also after Christian ‘ball grabbing’ Wilkins was getting under his skin.

Yeah, that was also directly at Wilkins, as you said since they were battling all game.  Toney was doing it to the whole Jags sideline.  Just seems like another KC culture guy.

Mahomes gets the extra day to rest too. Convenient

Doesn't matter. He is not going to be the typical mobile version of himself one week after a high ankle sprain. He'll play but those magical escape plays won't be there. This somewhat offsets Von Miller not being on the field.

kelce push off again

It is the way officials are not calling OPIs and DPIs this season.

It allows for a lot more physical play from both sides of the ball if the trend continues.

Makes the mismatch of DBs and Safeties on TEs even more enticing as TEs can get that pushoff at the top of their routes and create space for themselves.

Jags scored 20 in a game they knew they needed 30.
