This trade neve made sense.  They gonna take away 75+ targets from Diggs and he's good with that??

Come on...

Diggs already loses targets to other players on the team anyway lol. What's the difference? He will get his catches, trust me

I mean if Diggs is more worried about catches then Hopkins coming in and helping us possibly win a superbowl then we have major issues on this team.

A rising tide lifts all boats

He wants to win a super bowl more than being the WR with the most targets, yards, reception, etc.

He doesn't historically do well with another cutting into his targets...

He couldn't even handle a guy like Theilen getting a large share of targets from Cousins.

You haven't been paying attention.  When he doesn't get the looks, he barks at his QB.

So you're saying it's F the surperbowl and let me get mine? I don't believe that to be the case at this point in Stephs career. He is a fierce comptetior no doubt and like all great recivers believes he is open every play. But if he is against adding a player like D-Hop on this team to try and help us get to the top, then like I said we have major issues on this team.

You mean the time that the news plastered him all over for yelling because the WHOLE team was playing like *****?

Jeez, I wonder why he was upset.  Must have been his targets. 🙄

AZ could have the #1 & #2 picks next year because HOU is insane.

I don’t know why they signed Kyler Murray to a big contract

That's wild, certainly possible.  Afc south is going to be unpredictable/highly volatile though (outside of JAX)...I'd put HOU as a bottom 6 team overall for sure.  Demeco has been around plenty of elite pass rushers, so he knows what he's looking for, and if Anderson becomes the next Bosa...then that's a fair deal for Hou.

Btw, I know you saw Beanes post draft presser.  His final response to Mookies question, re: if Bills looking to add vet playmakers for Josh.  I think that was a playful way of shutting down any remaining Dhop gossip, but that's just me.  Beane is probably getting annoyed at this point with being asked and having to continually respond that they're cash strapped (and likely using any remaining $$$s on vet dline)

With the addition of Dalton Kincaid, a TE in name only, in conjunction with Harty, Sherfield, and Shorter - I get the feeling he's feeling pretty good about his pass catchers.

I understand, to an extent, the idea that GM's are always lying. But Beane doesn't usually just flat out say he's not in on something that he is. He'd say something like "we're always looking at improving, but it has to be the right price" or something like that. He's time and again said it's not happening and he's not in.

People like to point to him saying that "we probably aren't going to be big players in Free Agency" and then signing Von Miler and him saying that he's "more likely to trade down than trade up" and then trading up as proof that you can't believe him. But those were vague statements. They weren't him saying "i'm not trading for (insert players name here)".

Combined with the Cardinals GM flat out saying "DeAndre's a Cardinal and we're moving on", his not being moved this weekend, their ridiculous asking price, and their cap situation being good even with his contract - I get the feeling the Cards were never interested in moving him in the first place. Unless it was an offer they simply couldn't refuse. Which we were never going to do.

Long story short, this one's over. Hopkins is not coming this season.

Hopkins wants out.  He’s not going to make it easy on them.

Maybe he doesn’t come here, but Arizona knows he won’t be a good soldier on a team with zero intentions of being a contender for anything this year.

I mean, maybe. Or maybe he was just seeing the rumors and hoping he'd go to a winning team and now that the GM has made it clear it's not going to happen, he's fine getting the full amount of his massive contract.

It's one thing to go along with rumors and embrace them. It's another to become a public malcontent, hold out, and try and force yourself off the team. That may not be in his DNA.

Curious to know from you if the chance to get DHop is definitely over after the Draft.

If still possible in some way, i’ll do everything to get him, no matter what.

It’s not happening. It was probably never happening.

I'd be surprised.

Yeah it would be awesome right now, but then we'd have to kick more cap down the line, plus toss aside some of the younger prospects we just acquired. Going "all-in" doesn't guarantee a championship, and I think you've got a better chance and cracking the superbowl by having a playoff team every year for a decade.

Even as much as I LOVE Von Miller, I still question if that move is good for this team in the long-run or not. On the plus side, in addition to his play he does seem to have a big influence on the players around him, so maybe that's the intangible benefit.

Now that the draft is over, I feel Dhop's chances of being a Buffalo Bills is about zero.

Or Davis will be part of the trade which I’d be perfectly ok with. Give me the proven player that can catch the ball.

We've added to the offense a lot this off season. I think I'm comfortable enough to head to camp with what we have and see how it shakes out. If guys like Shakir, Davis, Hines, Harty or Sheffield fail to impress we have a lot of draft capital for next year and can easily be buyers at the trade deadline.

If we are still looking to add to the team...grab me Poona Ford and Melvin Ingram....likely combined for less money combined than DHop.

The next month is when the Hopkins trade will occur (if it does). If not he likely will be a deadline trade.

we got extra picks in 2024 as well in the draft. I would expect now Ammo to make the move. Also we will have some tradeable OL at the end of the summer to recoup 2024 picks instead of outright cutting.

This conversation is as pointless as those still stating that the Bills should get a dome. That ship sailed way over 2 years ago. Same with the nonsensical D-Hop talk. Beane stated emphatically again yesterday that - "He's open to any free agent receiver, as long as they'll play for about $2M dollars. We have no cap space, and we aren't setting out team back financially for 2023 or 2024". That's about as clear cut is it can get, yet here we are. Some people just like to waste our time I guess.

I'm not saying he's against it at all.  I'm saying he won't react well to a large dent in his targets.

How were you able to do that search without passing by the image of Diggs tossing his helmet at his bench, in a playoff game...that they were winning...because he had not been targeted yet?

lol come on.   do another search where those guys did that again on their next team..

Pretty easy actually.  Diggs was about 3/4 down the page for me.

Well Thielen just went to Carolina so I can't, yet.

Anderson was already on his next team when he yelled at Darnold.

Baldwin didn't change teams and is retired so I can't.

Not sure why you think this is just a Diggs thing and never happens anywhere else.

Because he’s only here to irritate people.

Don't believe Hopkins is in Bills future. We could certainly use him but not for what is probably the cost. We'll see because I don't think they're not going to trade him.

This is where I’m leaning, but then I don’t believe there’s any chance Hopkins is a Cardinal by the time mandatory camp starts … so where is he going?

If I believe he’s getting traded, I think we’re in it as much as anyone else.

That being said, Beane talks about Shorter as him making the roster is a given and then we gave a UDFA WR who’s apparently a ST monster a 3 year deal so…. We’re suddenly looking at keeping 7 WR’s potentially, without a Hopkins trade.

No but you're implying that he's a problem because of it when you point out that I didn't find diggs doing it and then doubled down about him being on his second team and doing it.

If you don't like him because of it, that's your problem.

Until Allen, beane, McD or anyone on the team has an issue with it, then I'll be concerned with him acting out.

He wasn't an issue all season and then, like I said, the WHOLE team, played probably their worst game in the playoffs and you don't expect players to be getting upset?
