What if we play Cinci on Sunday instead of the Bellicheats? Isn't the Pats game a meaingless game anyways?

No, if the Pats win, they clinch. And the Bills are still playing for #1.

If the team publicly states they're not ready, especially if there aren't positive developments with Hamlin, it would be a PR nightmare for the league to push back on it.  That's why you have Troy Vincent out there today saying the league will look to the Bills Players and Coaches for direction.

Not for the Pats, and also could decide the AFC North depending on what ends up happening with the Bills / Bengals result.

They NFL is talking about a Week 19 at Cincy. We better win this Sunday, unless we want to concede the #1 seed.

Jason McCourty on GMFB made a point that many of these guys have dealt with adversity their whole lives and sports/football have been an outlet /escape from friends getting killed, poverty, broken families , parental drug abuse, crime ridden neighborhoods…they reached the top of their profession through hard work , having supportive teammates … I think it will be positive to get back to doing what they do best and where they thrive

Agree with House.  After the whole Devante Parker concussion, Pats would support Bills.  I think Kraft donated 20 large to Damar's charity.  Concussion Spotter!  Kidding right?

Buffalo is already in the playoffs, it's not the entire season.

There’s a huge difference between one seed and 2 or 3. We saw last year how it backfired on us.  We must control our own destiny, first round bye and home field.

Why sacrifice the entire season? That would make no sense.

Who is saying that?  If we lost to the Bengals (certainly a possibility the way they were throwing on us and considering our injuries),  then losing to the Patriots (or a forfeit) has no impact on our seeding / standing - we are at 3 with a loss to the Bengals, and remain a 3 with a loss to the Patriots.

I get the severity of the situation but whatever happened to a team dedicating the rest of the season to a fallen comrade? There have been millions of tackles in the 103 year history of the NFL and this is the first time something like this has occurred. I'm sure alot of players would rather get back on the field and re-focus instead of crawling into fetal position and quitting.

We are not settling on 3. Our goal in 1 and once we finish and beat the Bengals game and beat NE we will be 1. Potentially Sacrificing a Super Bowl is not the right statement.

I would back the Bills decision if Hamlin does not drastically improve.

So, what do you then tell the Miami Dolphins and Pittsburgh Steelers, 2 teams fighting to make the playoffs?

“Too bad, fellas! The Bills forfeited. The Patriots are in! Now go out there and risk injury for one more week just to keep us entertained! Sorry for all those injuries you guys suffered fighting for nothing!”

Hell, the whole league should just pack it in and see you next season. Maybe.

I could see the Bills not caring about a forfeit at this point, but the Patriots are in a win and in situation.  The Dolphins and Steelers are also still alive for that spot and need NE to play and lose.  The game will be played.
