Brady tried to engineer his way to Miami: TAMPERING!

Get real. You think he wants to come back to the AFC to face the gauntlet of QBs or stay in the NFC where it's basically him and Rodgers alone at the top with Murray and Prescott in tier 2 and that's pretty much it.

I can't understand why Brady would want to do this. The only reason that I can think of is that he wants to beat the Pats twice next year.

He saw Von Miller signed with Buffalo and might become the only starter in the NFL to win a Super Bowl with three different teams.  And he got jealous and said "well hell, I could do that too".

Well Brady would have WRs - Hill/Waddle/Parker, RBs Edmonds/Mosert/Gaskin, TEs Gesicki/Gronk.

For a QB that many think has been pretty much a game manager, he could have the opportunity to put up some pinball type numbers.

There are some rumors that Brady would be interested in becoming a part owner of the Dolphins if the opportunity presents itself.

? He has put up pinball numbers in NE and Tampa. He's lapping the field at this point. makes no sense for him to go to miami for this lol.

Whenever we go to the Keys we fly into Lauderdale-Hollywood International.  Definitely more my speed at age 38 and it's only 30 minutes away from Miami, if you're looking for that scene.

i don’t think anything you wrote are what would decide for him.  He thinks he can beat all those guys.    Miami has a huge Latin population, not to mention modeling.   And he may want to stick it to Belichick some more.

On the topic of Brady

Peyton Manning welcomed Tom Brady into the retired quarterbacks club with a handwritten note and a bottle of wine.

Now that Brady has broken out of that club, he wants his stuff back.

Yes Manning is embarrassed that he said in note that Tainted Tom would unretire after draft and there was a team unable to get QB it needed.

  • 2 weeks later...

It’s now being reported that Brady’s retirement was nothing more than a hoax designed to get him out of his Tampa Bay contract so he could go to Miami and be part owner/starting QB. It appears that the lawsuit brought by former Dolphins coach Brian Flores blew that all to pieces.

That actually makes the most sense of any theory I've seen regarding Brady.

His retirement seemed rushed and unplanned, then all of a sudden he's back after saying in his message that he couldn't commit to the team the same way.

I don't believe Belichick could have planned to make those texts assuming it would trigger an unprecedented lawsuit that would also include publicly mentioning this secret boat meeting with Brady and Ross, while also assuming the lawsuit would drop the same day as Brady announcing his retirement.  No.

Also, what a slimy move by Brady if that is true.

I would think the other owners would be against setting the precedent of an active player being part-owner of a team

Brady doesn't have the wealth to wrestle the dolphins away from Ross right? It is nagging at me all this bad press about the Dolphins coming out and then all of a sudden Brady would be part owner in some way? Like after this year, whats to stop that from happening?

He probably doesnt have the $ to do that though.

A player also being a minority owner?  Never happen.  And the Bucs and Saints (since Sean Payton was supposed to be HC) would have demanded their 1st rounders over the next 2 drafts.  Maybe after this season Tommy Boy can join them as an UFA.

Brady retired Super Bowl week to make the weeks stories all about him. Brady then un-retired on the eve of free agency to, once again make the story all about him. Apparently he needs a lot of attention.
