Oh and I forgot to mention Mahomes being called "baby GOAT" and already being lumped in with Brady just 5 years into his career. He's obviously an incredible QB but he hadn't yet faced real adversity in his career until the Super Bowl last year. He has a lot of work to do if he wants to go down in history.

I just put that “Baby GOAT” stuff as the kind of hyperbolic media narrative that we hear so much these days - like what’s-his-name saying Herbert is a sure-fire HOFer (Schefter, that’s who I mean) or that game last season where the announcer was hyping up how Lamar keeps getting better, just put his bust in Canton already on a game where he had just missed a straightforward sideline throw and the Ravens lost (think it was Titans game last season)

Celebrating injuries is not a good look.

It’s a gladiator sport, guys get injured by other guys hitting them very hard and in purpose every game and fans love it, you can pretend otherwise all you like, but you’ll be lying to yourself, is what it is,

I don’t wish harm on any of these players, but the game is what it is and fans do indeed love it for those very aspects.

Fans love the hard hits, this can not be denied, the league celebrates the brutality of the game, and the fans buy tickets to watch ALL of the brutality.

Its like the movie Roller Ball come to life,

Go Bills!!!

Anyone who celebrates a player getting injured really has some serious issues.

Im surprised Mahomes came out of that fine.  Not even in concussion protocol.

Kind of feels like he gave himself easy questions for his concussion tests because I don't know how a guy that had to be carried off the field doesn't have some injury/concussion.

Fans enjoy the hard hits, it a fact, fans spend large coin to watch a gladiator sport, and the stadium league wide roar with the very excitement that that possibility brings, it’s a brutal game and for how many decades have fans returned to watch it happen???

like I said I don’t wish  harm on any player, but the game is what it is, it is not a gentleman’s game, it’s harsh as hell and the fans enjoy the spectacle good and bad, that’s the truth.

I think it's a standardized test that gets compared to a player's baseline results, but there's been talk some guys don't give it their best shot so that it's easier for them to meet or exceed their baseline

So he could have done that

He could also be OK now but will develop symptoms tonight or tomorrow

There is a big difference between enjoying the physicality to it, vs cheering when a player getting injured.

Massive difference.

Yeah that's what I was thinking about from back when Josh had his concussion against the Patriots. It just seems weird for him to be that unsteady on his feet and not have something.

How did we lose to the Steelers?

Blocked punt, ultimately

Game plan that bet on Pitts blitzing and us countering with 4 & 5 WR sets and no runs (Surprise!)

Josh and Manny Sands connection “off” and Josh unwilling to take the short stuff early

Trick question?

Chief defenders basically not willing to tackle Henry...this was embarrassing...looked like Mario Williams post checkout.

Truthfully watching the KC at Tenn game made me feel a bit better about our D

They did get run over, but they got run over in the act of truly trying to tackle the guy

Maybe one day he'll be a hall of fame QB like Herbert, but he's still got a long way to go before than.

Offensive line got destroyed against Pitt…. And Josh was bad(partly because the offensive line was) as was Daboll…. But I put that loss more on the awful offensive line play.

That just begs the question “why did the offensive line get destroyed against Pittsburgh?”

The reasons for that being as I specified

The Chiefs are going to struggle to make the playoffs this year.

Bills and Titans are in 'easy' divisions, and you have a bunch of other teams who will challenge - Ravens, Bungles, Browns, Chargers, possibly also the Raiders.

I haven't paid too much attention to schedules, but ATM, I'd say that all of those teams are more likely to get there than the Chiefs. They all have far better D's than the Chiefs do, and none of them are exactly shabby on offense.

The one chance the Chiefs have, is to win a bunch of shoot outs, and , again, ATM, I don't see that happening - they are simply turning the football over too much.

I don't have a problem with the 'regular' injuries, e.g. hammies etc, especially if we have to play them with guys 'banged up'. (generalisation).

I really don't want to see any career threatening injury, ever.

Even though many of the players earn more than I've made in a lifetime, having their ability to earn taken away from them, simply sucks, especially as that window to earn good money, is increasingly small it seems.

Agree or disagree?

(BrittanyLynne8 aka Mrs Patrick Mahomes retweeted this)

That was posted a few weeks ago. His passer rating on the season now sits at 97.3. Over the last 3 games he's at 74.6... He is definitely in a slump right now. Pressing too hard and making bad decisions as a result.

In the last 3 games he has 4TDs 5 INTs 4 Fumbles 2 Lost.  Don't care how many yards he puts up.  Turning over the football and not scoring TDs does not =very good play.

They are playing 3 rookies, is part of the problem

But Orlando Brown has NOT been what they expected when they traded for him, and neither has their FA spend Joe Thuney

We will see where it ends up, but the trade for Brown to me was alway a mistake.  He was great in Baltimore on a run first team with highly mobile QB.

There was very little evidence that he was going to be anywhere near as successful as a LT on a pass first team with a pocket QB and he has been below average.  I believe he is also a FA - so this complicates them keeping him - meaning they gave up a 1st potentially for a 1 year rental in what turns out to be a down year.

Joe Thuney was good in NE, but I had that same thought- was he really 80 million dollars good or was he a product of a team that rolls out quality o-lineman that move on and become average.  He really needs to pick it up because that nearly 18 million cap hit next year hurts the team if he plays like he is playing now.

I actually think they have built a strong o-line if they wanted to play a style like Baltimore or Cleveland- where they run more than throw and use the guys strengths, but as a pass first and pass often team - that o-line is no better than the o-line they ran in the Super Bowl.

I know in the training camp thread - a lot of people thought that KC actually got significantly better, but that has not been shown to be the case so far.

I thought all the talk about how the Chiefs amazing O line rebuild was premature.

And of course, the performance of the OL has nothing to do with a QB sneak success 🙄

I’m calling the Colts beating the Titans next week

I’m not saying that they’re going to lose to the Colts, but even after two impressive wins against the bills and chiefs, the Titans still feel like a team to me that can/will lose to some of these lower teams.
