...is it fair to say that the difference in attitude towards the game, AJ vs Gordon is "night and day"?.....Gordon just can't seem to get his head screwed on......"Plexiglass" Buress, of course AB and Martavis Bryant come to mind......

Spot on- the list of prima donnas is long

Depends. Does he have good football character? Not sure.

None of the rest of it matters if he doesn’t. If he’s still haunted by his substance abuse ghosts and isn’t managing them as required, then I submit he is incapable of the requisite football character required.

Yeah I just think McD doesn’t want a guy who isn’t committed to team football goals. In his past he definitely didn’t fit that profile. No idea if he’s changed but it’s rare for that kind of personality switch to happen

Pretty sure he’s lost a step. Belichick isn’t letting a decent WR go like that if he can play.

The trade for Sanu committed a significant  resource for another slot receiver.  I think this is telling for what they believe is the right offensive focus given Brady’s current skill sets.  Gordon is less valuable to them.  Could just be that they feel they can get more production from another position.  Could also be that Gordon is just not what he was.  He would certainly be worth a look.

I have a few questions

#1 How are the feet ?

#2 How do you feel about modern NFL helmets?

#3 Does it always need to be your way?

#4  Been to Buffalo lately and do you like the place?

#5 Any ex girl friends and do they like you?

The pro-Foster faction here just threw their laptops but we also have a QB who hasn't completed a deep ball all season and it's nearly November so I'm not sure how much a deep threat matters when you can't complete passes to them.  We've had open guys, they were all missed.

Foster has been hurt all year with a groin.

Hard to evaluate him at this point. He also has a fraction of the talent that Josh Gordon has.

Does he cost future assets? No.

Is it a bad contract? No.

If he’s available, can still play, and the first one checks out I think he would be fine with it.

You could very well be right, I think with the amount of pot smokers in the nfl being mostly ignored by the league it “could” happen, i’d be surprised if ended up with the Bills, stranger things I guess.

doubt he gets to us in the waiver wire i'd imagine there is at least one team who will take a shot at him

Wouldn't Josh Gordon now be a vested veteran that he will not go through the waiver wire?

Waiver rules w regard to vested veterans apply until the trade deadline. Post trade deadline all players must go through waivers.

yup now the hit pieces come out

What's your theory on why the WR needy Pats* that have spent the better part of a year trying to find a WR, and just gave up significant assets for Sanu, are so ready to move on from the superior Gordon?  Just for fun?

He’s been the same guy since high school. It’s hardly a hit piece. I would have taken a chance on him if he had the talent to warrant it but i think he’s probably washed.

Tell me about it...  He should sue for libel, they are smearing his good name!  lol.

That said, I'd still take a shot.  Maybe with a change of scenery he could keep his head on straight for half a year.

No, I have been on record as saying AJ is on the wrong side of 30 and 2 years of injuries. Gordon used to have all the attributes you mention- key words used to. Some receivers have put up big numbers in NE- Moss, Edelman, etc...I think they expect an uptick in production with Sanu.

Go watch that Steelers against Ne game again and watch the Gordon catch and then let me know if he can’t high point footballs. And how many years ago was Moss?

Yes, you’re right - not a hit piece. Everyone also needs to remind themselves that he was effectively cut mid-season by a smart, well-run organization with a real need at the WR position. That happened for a reason.

well sanu is probably the better wr right now so they see it as an upgrade and they're going for a title.  plus they give up a second which will be like the 60th pick and they get a comp pick back for sanu that's probably like the 68th pick.  so they lose very little in their mind and better shot at a title.

And Phillip Dorsett, Jakobi Meyers, and Gunner Olszewki are all probably better now too?

This year- 20 receptions in 6 games. Sure he may make a play here and there but will he do it consistently. IMO he just isn’t worth the risk. NE in past years has had receivers and TE’s put up big numbers. Lets see what happens in the second half of the season with NE’s passing attack and where, if any place Gordon lands. It will be interesting for sure.

How many 300 yard games does Allen have in this enigmatic offense? How many poor passes has he thrown? How many times has he taken off and ran? I can’t honestly assess any receiver in the current dumpster offense we have.

I have no opinion on Gordon but am curious to know how long it would take a player to clear waivers with 31 teams.  A few days?  In other words, when would he be officially a free agent?

24 hours. He will clear waivers at 4pm today if no one claims him

moving the goalposts you mention Gordon’s catches which are only 13 less than our leading WR and he has been dealin with injury all year.

guess what Gordon catches that pass last week Foster failed to adjust on
