You only have your resume to stand on. Nate’s resume is WAY worse than a lot of guys that were given less chances. Were you appalled that Levi Brown didn’t get more chances? Was he treated unfairly? He certainly never collapsed like Peterman. Why does Nate deserve a chance? He has failed at his. I feel much worse for guys like Brown or Hamdan or the thousands of other guys that didn’t get the chance that Nate did (and keeps getting). It is a production business and he has not EARNED a spot on a NFL roster. He has been GIVEN it because he’s a nice guy. If I were EJ or whomever, I’d be furious. MR8
Peterman was an unmitigated disaster when in game action, HISTORICALLY bad.... However, in shorts during Mini Camp, TC, and then in fake games for preseason, he didn't look nearly as bad. I always wanted the guy cut after his disaster in 2017, let alone being the starter in 2018... it was a joke, HOWEVER people conveniently forget that he actually didn't look terrible. I think we all thought he would meltdown, and he did, but it was always possible he didn't as well. Sooo fast forward to now, he's in shorts and camp, when he looked good for us. Stands to reason he'd look good for the Raiders too.

Even quarterback who is not in the nfl has a right to be pissed that Peterman is. But it will be hilarious when Carr gets hurt and Brown is “catching” passes from Peterman. We don’t know what that is, but then again, we aren’t NFL coaches. Here are some facts then: - 356 QBs have thrown at least 130 passes over the last 40 NFL seasons. Nate Peterman ranks DEAD LAST with a passer rating of 32.5. Only one other player (Spergyon Wynn at 39.5) is below a rating of 42. - Nate Peterman’s 9.2 INT % ranks DEAD LAST and only one other guy is above a 7 (Peter Tom Willis at 8.2). Peterman is doing this in an era where guys are lighting it up in the passing game. To further the example, since he entered the league his passer rating is 32.5. The next lowest of ANY QB in that window with at least 130 pass attempts is 60. The next worst QB in the league has been TWICE as good as Nate.

HardyBoy
Try to put yourself in his shoes. You are about to take a test, let's say a math test. You're not the best in at the subject matter, because you aren't able to come up with the answer as fast as others, but you have figured out a way to work around it by really understanding the concepts and using deductive reasoning to solve the problems just about as well, and in some cases better than those that just flat out were born really good already. So you sit down for the test, but instead of the typical 2 minutes per question, you only have a minute. You've practiced at a minute per question, but the questions were easier and the stakes were much lower. So you bomb the test. Worst ever performance. Are you ensured to never do well again, and you should just quit and type on message boards all day? No, you didn't fail because you weren't capable, it's too early to say that based on the sample size. You need to practice more to get how you are good at the subject to align with the increased difficulty of the subject. That is Nathan Peterman. He terribly failed a few tests, but showed consistent improvement in getting his skill set upgraded. No his arm will never win games, but he didn't di terribly because if his arm. Most of that was him being baited into bad throws, because the game was moving too fast. It's too early to say he's the worst ever, or maybe that's fair, so instead unfair to say he will remain the worst ever.
