Phil The Thrill
Interesting question. Based on 12 weeks (or so) of games, if you were drafting today and had your pick of either Sam Darnold or Josh Allen, who do you draft?

JimKellyTryouts
Pre draft, and especially right after week 1, the answer is obvious. Nowadays, a complete 180 and I couldn't be happier to be wrong.
Boca BIlls
Honestly I hope for a 4 INT game for the Bills.
Nick the Greek
Darnold looked awesome day 1 vs the Lions, but has since regressed a bit. I think he even threw 3 INTs in one game. Allen started slower but has looked awesome as of late. Will be fun to see how this rivalry plays out, but it’s honestly too early to tell who’s better. Id like to see how good of a runner Darnold is as well compared to Allen. Edited December 6, 2018 by Idandria
JPP
At this point (both qb's have been really up and down)....i would say Allen....just wondering if Darnold didnt play for an AFCE team would the voting results be abit different?

cbatl32
Prior to the draft it would have been a slam dunk for Darnold. I was a complete non believer in Allen. But the last two weeks he's really starting to make me believe that he's the real deal. I'm trying not to get my hopes up too much because I'm scared he's going to fall apart. But for now, my vote is Allen.
White Linen
Can we stop - who cares? Allen is our QB. It's not interesting to know who anyone would pick after 12 games. It's just not.

LABILLBACKER
What you see from both on Sunday will probably not be indicative of the way they'll play 2 years from now. I think McB made the right call choosing Allen considering his size and arm strength in the Buffalo wind. Josh's mobility is a very pleasant surprise. They both are good character guys with great leadership qualities. Sam will be more accurate to start but I see him struggling years down the road. Josh will require reinforcements on the OL and WR/TE. If McB fail in finding this support system for Josh, than he's likely to fail also..... Augie
I was honest and stayed with my preference of Darnold. Josh is making it look better every week, but time will tell. In a decade I bet we know for sure, but even then there may be arguments. That would probably be a good thing, as they’d both be IN the league. Dadonkadonk
Never wanted Darnold. He got rattled in the pocket in the Pac12. He is more polished than Allen but Allen has more upside.

Andy1
Before draft, I wanted Darnold first and Allen second. Now I’ll choose Allen over Darnold. Still too early to predict long term outcomes though.
Ed_Formerly_of_Roch
So far Darnold hasn't done anything to stand out. Allen's arm strength and running ability give him a big edge. Those are likely two areas Darnold will never catch him on. Certainly throwing more completions/TD's could swing that the other way in the future, but for now all Allen. I really don't get this. Do you scan the discussion threads looking for an opportunity for a snarky insult? It's a relevant discussion because they're playing each other on Sunday. It's a relevant discussion because they're playing in the same division. It's a relevant discussion because Darnold was rated so much higher during the draft. It's a relevant discussion because so many Bills fans would have preferred Darnold 13 weeks ago. But, if you don't like the discussion, why participate? Just to piss in someone else's punch bowl?
