davefan66
I liked what I saw today. Thing is, I believe that was a jets team who knew the Head coach’s job is in line and didn’t show up. Truly believe that game was a winner regardless, but the jets didn’t seem to have any fire today. If the Steelers and Chiefs keep playing they are and have the top two spots locked up....and NE has nothing to play for? I could certainly see us getting a win. ComradeKayAdams
24 minutes ago, MichaelAbdallah said: The 2nd wild card spot could easily be at 5-5 (Bengals, Dolphins, and Titans; maybe also Ravens and Colts) when we begin play vs the Jags in 2 weeks. Of course, I don't understand how we are going to beat NE in week 16. Someone explain that one to me. Just to clarify my post: if the Dolphins lose in another hour to GB, next week the Ravens beat the Bengals at home, and next week the Colts beat the Titans at home, then there will be a 5-team tie at 5-5 for the final wildcard spot by the start of week 12. So to answer the original question of whether 9-7 gets the Bills into the playoffs: probably a coin toss of a chance, since our 7-5 AFC record is competitive, wins over the Dolphins and Titans would help, but losses to the Ravens and Colts doesn't. GimmeSomeProcess
Omg please stop the odds of winning 6 more in a row, one on the road vs New England is slim. Then we need to leap frog 5 teams in the wildcard hunt, two of which have the tie breaker is more less likely.
DRA3196
Aside from the Patriots game in Foxboro in December, we could be competitive the rest of the season. Or games could be over by halftime.

That's the narrative this season. This game was the first time we really put together long drives for once. That's all we need to be decent. Zero offense is just soul crushing week after week. I didn't think they had it in them.

fansince88
All seriousness aside, They played great against another ok team. I like the upgrades at WR . MDH
Let’s say the Bills have a 70% chance to win each game (they don’t, but let’s pretend.) With a 70% chance to win each game they have just an 8% chance of winning all 7. Its nice to enjoy the win but let’s not go overboard.

ColoradoBills
Playoff calculators are out. A "what if" calculator I just looked at says the Bills have an 11% chance of making the final wildcard IF they win out. That still has the total Bills chances as of now of less than 1%. Rico
Great win going into the bye week. Yeah, it’s the Jets, but I don’t think this team is as bad as they have looked (other than Peterman and KB). Allen is still raw, Anderson is too old, but maybe Barkley can keep it going a little bit. Here’s to the rest of the season and especially next year.
Kevin1778
9-7 is very much a possibility if they continue playing Barkley and the speedy receivers. With the #6 seed wide open the Bills are alive and well. Makes sense to play Barkley until they are eliminated. Let's face it 8-6 heading to New England on a five game win streak isn't out of the question with the next 4 games. Jaguars W Dolphins W Jets W Lions W Pats Toss Up (Looked vulnerable today) Dolphins W 1

Though I'm not sure how the Ravens, Bengals, Colts, and Titans will shake out. We have no margin of error with any of these 4 getting hot. And we've already lost to the Ravens and Colts. Marv's Neighbor
Shirley, you can't be serious! We just beat a team that's as bad as us. We have no chance against a team that's better, UNLESS Barkley starts. BTW if Barkley does not start against the Jags, there is no justice or common sense! I don't care of they send the rookie to Lourdes for a quick miracle, start Barkley!

dgrochester55
Buffalo will definitely win a few more but it is lofty to assume automatic wins in the non New England games. I could see Buffalo being a favorite against the Jets, but the Dolphins, Lions and Jaguars despite the record are still higher in the food chain than Buffalo. Chances are those games would be seen either as tossups or have Buffalo is the underdog. Even with those five wins, the Pats are still there and that would be a major upset. Best to start Allen and allow the young players to gain experience and confidence. I see six or seven wins as a real possibility, but even that would require a 3-3 or 4-2 finish.
