Darnold likely out Sunday

I was also looking forwards to an Allen-Darnold matchup.  The two of them are actually good friends and I'm sure they are competitive with each other.  I could tolerate Peterman-Darnold, as at least you are getting two young QB's who, at least as of last week, were equally turnover prone.  In other words, a competitive matchup....McCown, at this stage, is much better than Darnold, so I suspect this change increases the Jests chances of victory.  It makes the game vastly less interesting.

With Darnold struggling lately, I thought the Bills might get some turnovers and make this game competitive. Now, I am assuming another double-digit loss is in the offing.

if peterman keeps up his pattern, it'll be 14-3 jets without their O ever hitting the field.

Here comes blowout # 7 for this season.......WOW.......week 10 and we lost by double digits 6 times already.....If this is what people call "purposely tanking" than its being taken to whole new level........

Maybe.  But I've been told several times we have this really solid defense.  So if an old vet QB, who has not taken a live snap this season can roll in off the bench and shred our defense,  then UGH!  i think that would be very deflating indeed.

Prediction:

Bills win 5-3

8 int's and 4 fumbles total by both teams. UNWATCHABLE.

it'll be like the Buffalo-SF game from 92 where there were no punts, but in this case because it'll be a turnover every drive

This actually hurts us. McCown made our defense look like swiss cheese last year.

I know, I kind of agree with this.  McCown is actually an upgrade for the Jets in this game.

I don't think we are going to get slaughtered...well...I hope we are not going to get slaughtered, but I actually think the score might be a little bigger than if the Jets were starting Darnold.

He did? Yeah, the Jets beat the Bills last year on Thursday night but McCown was 14 of 20 for 140 yards and 1 TD. In the opener last year, McCown was 26 of 39 for 187 yards, 0 TDs and 2 INTs, one of which was the game-ender. The Thursday night matchup was the first game after they had traded Dareus which began a horrible three-game skid where the run defense was about as strong as wet toilet paper. Jets scored three rushing TDs (McCown scrambled in for one of them) and ran for 194 total yards. The Saints then came into town and blew 'em up for 298 yards on the ground. Mark Ingram had three TDs, Alvin Kamara had one, and currently unemployed free agent RB and big brother of Tremaine Edmunds, (Trey) had a 41 yard TD run late in 4th quarter. Even Drew Brees got in on the rushing TD action, scoring on a sneak and throwing for 184 yards and zero TDs. Gah, what an ugly game that was.

...good call bud....signed a one year, $10 mil guaranteed deal and certainly has earned it so far (COUGH).......so maybe this is his "Fitz audition" for 2019 whether with the Jesters or elsewhere for similar money as the proverbial "vet backup"...nice work if you can continue to get it...................

I was at that Thursday game sitting in the end zone and all I remember is Tyrod missing a thousand open recievers and McCown making plays on third down. He made some great plays in critical situations, running and throwing. It was annoying from what I remember. I probably remember it being way worse than it was. My buddy lost a bet and had to wear a Laverneus Coles jersey on a walk of shame through the parking lot.

I hope the Coles jersey came at a lesser cost than the infamous Kiko jersey.
