26CornerBlitz
@BuffaloBillsPR #Shoutout: Stephen Hauschka's day made franchise history for the @buffalobills. Missing Dan Carpenter? White Linen
We've had excellent kickers in our history and I feel confident every time Stephen kicks. Good feeling.

Kelly the Dog
I said this in another thread but it was amazing to me that he lined up for kicks of 49, 53, and 55 and before the kick I was thinking this is good before he kicked it. He's made 9 in a row over 50. The 55 yarder was good for like 65. He's a great kicker.
Numark3
Having a kicker who can hot consistently in the 40-49 range is huge, as is one who can hit some in the 50s. Hopefully he can do that throughout the season!

BillsFan130
Agreed! Crazy to say, but if the bills had carpenter instead of hauschka, they probably don't win this game today. Just shows how valuable a kicker can be

SectionC3
He was GREAT today. He hit some big kicks and they were from distance. And at least two were into the wind. Not sure if this is seen on tv, but the guy is methodical. He practices where to put his feet (followed by a practice "swing") like nobody I've ever seen. Paul Costa
This is what I expect every week. He's s beast !! Top kicker in NFL!! We paid for the best and we got it!!!!!
LABILLBACKER
Brilliant off season signing. Other than that bizarre miss week 1, he's been deadly. Very little hook or movement on his kicks. He's definitely going to be critical this year with RD's conservative plan...

Punching Bag
They should let him wear #2 for placement kicks and # 4 when he kicks off. I am sure he'd be willing if NFL allowed and he got an extra paycheck.
MakeBuffaloGreatAgain
I'm not a band wagon person. I hate going with the flow. But as far as this is concerned, HECK YES! This dude is clutch-o-matic!!!

CDogg20
Such a different feeling when he's kicking than when Carpenter was kickingAint that the truth. Just shows how valuable a kicker can be Yup. I was saying all off season we need to draft the best kicker in college, whoever that is.; We would have won 10 games last year with a decent kicking game. Miami and Seattle both would have been wins. Its a huge part of the game, we need a franchise kicker. the Hauschka rules

DriveFor1Outta5
Carpenter's extra point problems made him expendable. Hauschka seems to be a good signing. Obviously something needed to be done at that position. Kudos to Hauschka for being a major part of a big win yesterday. Kickers do go through ups and downs though. The time will likely come where he costs us a game or two as well. That's just the life of a kicker. donno about that yet. He missed an easy one week 1 IIRC. Any and every kick from a placekicker is always a moment for fans to hold their breath. Kicking is a lot like golf, things are going to go wrong at some point for everyone. It sure is nice not worrying about Xp's Agreed. That was the biggest issue with Carp. You can't win close games missing that many XP's.
billsbackto81
This is what I expect every week. He's s beast !! Top kicker in NFL!! We paid for the best and we got it!!!!! ------------------------ Easy there bud, the best? He missed one in week 1 and got lucky on one last week when it hit the upright and fell through. I do like his leg and he's a major upgrade from Carp. Right now Prater from Detroit is really killing it from 50+.
CommonCents
He was GREAT today. He hit some big kicks and they were from distance. Chandler#81
Well we certainly hope. I believe one reason Seattle let him walk is because of his xp troubles. Exactly. I wonder how this thread got this far without noting the reason he was available in FA. IIRC, he missed 7 PAT's last season, though a number of them were blocked or botched by others. Otherwise, he contributed greatly to successive SB's. I'm glad we signed him!
