Not saying Robey was great, but I find it hard to believe with our CB position as bad as it is that we can replace him with a FA that plays as well as he did for under 1.5 Million dollars. Seems like yet another wtf action by the Bills management. Yeah, I read that the draft is rich in CB talent. No need for a costly FA CB... the draft can bring someone in. He is a top 5 slot corner for sure. I don't know if you can be a franchise slot corner. Nevertheless we won't get anyone even close for 3 mil cap hit or whatever it was. Don't have a ton of quality depth at CB, and don't like the idea of adding through the draft as we need safety's and WR's also. As far as Carp. I know he had a less than stellar past 2 years. Not sure there is anyone currently available that is any better, unless you draft someone. Again, don't have a ton of picks and a lot of needs. Must be planning on being very active in FA. I loved Robey but this is $1.5M in cap room the Bills can really use. Carp was great 2 years ago -- automatic. But the last two years have been tough. These aren't bad decisions in my opinion. Not always a guarantee to get better if you go younger, as the Cardinals found out. I can't wrap my head around LS being difficult to play. It is so repetitive. I get the reps and practice to get the routine but I always thought it should be the backup centers responsibility. That way a roster spot doesn't need to be used. Good work if you can get it but I can't believe so many teams use them. I noticed Sanborn's struggles in 2015 and then again last season. The play last year when Gronk abused him with no help over the top really stands out. I think Gronk mossed Robey two years ago for another touchdown as well. Carpenter on the other hand will not be missed at all. Shocking ... the 5'2" NRC got abused by a guy that makes bigfoot look small ... The blame for that play belonged with the Ryan twins. He had a free ride to stardom, and now is finding out what happens when you put it on cruise control. This was him throwing out the first pitch at a game a few years back: i have noticed that last year he didn't make many (any?) tackles on punt coverage. I suppose that is a sign of decline. I guess I'm just surprised they didn't have a competition at training camp. Maybe cutting him early lets him try to latch on with another team.
