Did Frank Wycheck Just Say I'm Sorry From Heaven?

Ya know, I wonder if Kelce, after seeing the passing of Frank Wycheck yesterday went out and threw that lateral for the potential game winner as his way of trolling the Bills.   The smarter play in that situation anyway woulda been probably not to score and go down near the goal line with over a minute still on the clock.

Seriously... what a stake through the heart it would have been for the Kelce miracle "throwback" play to win the game on the same day that Wycheck died.  I'm not sure, we as fans could have taken that.  It would have stuck with us the rest of our lives.  Now we got the break of all breaks.  Thanks Toney.

Great play but still risky.  Cam Lewis, #39 on the Bills came within inches of batting the lateral pass down,,, and that would've been a fumble and a great chance for a Bills recovery.  Pretty heads up play by Lewis to even be aware he was about to pass.

Toney's attempt to get a jump on specially prepared play was part of setup of play,

Call on Toney was just an excuse for Chiefs HC and QB to be bad sports and I hope they are heavily fined by NFL.

Frank Wycheck should have done a death bed confession to remove stain in hell.

In Purgatory he will be punished by being chained down and having other souls constantly beating him on catching pass aka Michael Jordan in Space Jam.

Definitely.

Kelce untucked and released that thing so fast, (errrr... swift for the triple entendre) most guys would still have had eyes on his thighs when it blew by their earhole.

Yes.....the curse was lifted, effective yesterday.

My own curse was lifted too.  I bought a nice zubaz shirt at the Bengals playoff game, and the Bills have lost literally every game when I've worn that shirt.  Until last night.

Am I the only one thinking this:

Andy Reid called that play (and it was fitting at the moment) KNOWING Wycheck passed the day prior, also knowing that if the Chiefs won that game miraculously on that play, that he and the Chiefs would be getting all the headlines like "Kansas City Miracle" etc.?

Just seems way too coincidental.  GLAD  it blew up in his pudgy face.

EDIT: I do not believe in aliens

It was definitely a called play IMO Toney literally stopped in his tracks and many in the press have seen Kelce throw it in practice etc, granted the guy covering him decided to chase after Kelce which lead Toney to get to the endzone.

What I can't believe is, how close Cam Lewis was to knocking that backwards lateral down. Don't know how Kelsey got it buy him. Lewis seemed to sniff it out. If he would have knocked it down and Bills recovered, that would have been an infamous bonehead play for the Chiefs finally, not the Bills.

They should be fined, the call is completely objective yet the entitled HC and QB want to act like it was a subjective call. Mahomes reasoning being the worst though as the flag was called right after the snap, if the refs called that back after the facts then the media would be all over the league more than anyone could imagine.

Looking at the play only Lewis would miss batting that down... again

But there was around 1:30 left on the clock and the Bills still had all 3 timeouts. A lot of "experts" in here have been saying all last night, and all day today, that the Bills would have gotten the ball and promptly marched back downfield for the winning TD. Nevermind that they looked like crap for the whole 2nd half, and had scored only 2 FGs in that half.

EDIT: Saw some highlights of the game after I got home from work today. If that trick TD by KC would have stood, they would have kicked off with 1:12 on the clock. I do agree that JA17 *possibly* could have driven them down the field for a TD….he is always a threat to lead a scoring drive….but up to that point, the Bills did not have the swagger and confidence in the 2nd half to do anything of note.

I was criticized for this hot take.

I have no doubt it played out that way. Bunch of arrogant pricks, the Chiefs, why Mahomes blew a gasket IMO and doubled down. It was greenlighted the whole time.

Allahu Akbar!

Our defense melted down and played soft in the second half. Our entire team played like ***** for 2 quarters and it's quickly forgotten because of Tooney having a penalty. McDermott is lucky people didn't have a chance to criticize the end of the game.

As great as Josh is, there was no guarantee we were marching 75 yards for the td.  The Chiefs dominated our offense the entire 2nd half.

Mahomes trying to gaslight everyone saying the world was denied such a special play.

Only the Chiefs, their fans and people in the KC metro area truly give a sh*t that they were called for a pre-snap penalty.  No different than Buffalo getting flagged pre-snap for 12-men against Denver handing them a win.  The refs may keep the flags in their pockets on judgement calls late but not for pre-snap or procedural stuff.

Yeah they would’ve had three consecutive 3 and outs when they needed to put something, anything, on the scoreboard, but the pass to Murray was ruled a catch. They didn’t get a first down after that fortuitous ruling either. I don’t know if the offense is playing tight, worried about a turnover, or what, but KC’s defense isn’t so good that it should completely stymie the Bills after they moved the ball with ease earlier.

Agree. But it does leave Chiefs up by +4.  Bills would have to score a game winning TD with a minute left.

I have no doubt that those pricks were trying to get further into the Bills heads.  Like Rodgers saying he owns Chicago.

Awesome! Now Bills are in their heads!

Thanks Frank! God rest your soul.  Now spark the Titans on to victory tonight!!!

I don't know about a fine.  I'll leave that up to the league, but it's pretty obvious to me that Mahomes, the NFL's Golden Child is a sore loser and is as capable of being petty as anybody else.  I completely reject the notion that the refs should have warned them before the play about Toney's Offside alignment.  Refs call Offside all the time for defensive players lined up in the neutral zone without warning the player.  It's the argument of an entitled spoiled sport.

BINGO!  The guy that scored the TD was the one Offside... How did the penalty NOT be critical and have a bearing on a play.

Wow... In the internet world of 2023... Patty "Melt" Mahomes made a total fool of himself!  He needs to come clean ASAP. Apologize!

Two of the three best passes ever thrown by tight ends came against the Bills.  The third one was Trey Burton against the Pats.

Home-run throwback reversed at Arrowhead keeps Bills alive. Rest in Peace (and keep watching the games) Frank. God bless.

Why would Wycheck ever feel sorry for that play? It was masterful execution of a play that had probably 1% chance of working.  He played his part perfectly and the bumbling Bills Special Teams did the rest! Its a play that will be alive forever and his name is attached! Sucks for us but Wycheck is a legend for it!

His was a forward pass Kelce was clearly a backward lateral

Toney also committed a second penalty on the play throwing a pick block to get Kelce wide open because why the ***** not the Chiefs were fully committed to if it's cool let it go.

It’s strange no one’s talking about it. From the endzone view where Tony and Kelce are running towards us, Tony deliberately throws a shoulder into Benford, the player guarding Kelce, which allows Kelce to run uncovered. Offensive pass interference all the way.

I'm so glad someone else noticed this.  The refs blew it by not making that call.  OPI would have pushed the Chiefs back 10 yards instead of the 5 the got hit for the Offside.  And there would have been no controversy.  Toney ran straight at one of the Bills' DBs, then straight into another one, and the second one was the guy marking Kelce.  Kelce popped clear not by skill but because the Chiefs were cheating.  It was a clearly deliberate illegal play, and Toney got away with it.

If good things come in threes, it's definitely time to buy a lottery ticket.
