Just sit on it?!! It really didnt look like much snow was removed from seating areas pregame, so if you didnt want to sit on a snow pile or were annoyed at that, I have no problem in people who paid top $ for their seats showing their displeasure with snow balls! In addition, that was sweet Karmic payback for Miami and their broiler heat stadium in September! Maybe the NFL should insist on tenting in Miami in September and then we can talk about snowball protection in Buffalo! No excuse for throwing anything on the field. If Patriots fans did this to the Bills we would all have nothing but righteous indication. I was in section 121 and my daughters were each hit by drunken morons throwing snowballs while trying to watch a game. As far as snow on the seats, most people just swept the snow to the floor but virtually no one sat except at half time.

I am not sure , but I was in Hammers till 2:15 and it was snowing harder than it snowed during the Colts game. Based on my recollection of brushing my car off, I am gunna say 4 inches in those two hours. traffic was brutal. Abbot was still crawling at 2AM. Many stories on twitter saying they left right after game and didn’t get to hotels near airport till 2:

Just to be transparent I was reprimanded a few times by authority types about my snowball throwing in 4th and 5th grade but have been clean for the last 50+ years - I always thought that was about average for growing up in Buffalo. two wrongs do not make a right among other reasons why this is simply a bogus move. no.

Guy who sit's 2 rows behind about is i am guessing 27. .6"2 and prolly 240.. he was pissed too and he turned round, pointed at the guy..and said" I am coming too brother". DasNootz
I can remember pelting the broncos bus with snowballs in 2005 and the police escort as well....oh to be young, drunk and invincible. I agree that it's not part of the game, and have no issue with security picking out the 100's of violators and kicking them out. That said, to expect that it won't happen or to penalize a team is foolish. If the league has an issue with safety, the course should be to stop play and/or pull players from the field. After that the, crowd will enforce itself.

HappyDays
Love all the fans trying to claim that soft snowballs are dangerous. These guys are on the field experiencing mini car crashes 20 times a game 17+ weeks a year. A snowball is going to be the thing that ends their season? The turf they play on is more dangerous than that. I guess I'm in the minority but I thought it was all in good fun. If the NFL disagrees I suppose they can flip ours and Miami's home games next year to coincide with the home team's respective weather conditions... But I guarantee they'll be coming to us next December, like they do every year. The NFL loves this stuff. No chance they were going to call a 15 yard penalty either. As soon as they announced that, it took all of two seconds to realize the immediately obvious logical flaw in that scenario. 1
WotAGuy
The NFL used to assess delay of game penalties when the crowd was too loud for the offense. Now, fan noise is encouraged. Soon, fans will be able to throw snowballs, dildos, and other paraphernalia on the field and even at running players.

LOVEMESOMEBILLS
There's only 4 instances I would condone throwing snowballs. In no particular order...We're playing Brady, Belichick, the Chiefs & the Dolphins. Watching since the 70s I consider Miami as our main rival. Finally we're back to being #1 & #2 in the division again. And just as I remember it back in the 90s they're the deuce lol. GO BILLS!! I would have lost it if we converted a huge 3rd down or stopped a huge 3rd down only to be negated by a fan throwing a snow ball on the field. I have been told that the NFL has no penalty on the books specifically saying they can penalize a team for its fans unruly behavior. It would need to be an actual rule for it to then be enforced correct? That very well change moving forward though we'll see. what this article fails to mention is that there likely would be any number of Dolphin fans in this case pitching snowballs to cause a penalty that would benefit THEIR team. That is BS and you know it would/could happen in WNY or other cold weather NFL cities by less than honorable fans https://www.si.com/nfl/bills/news/bills-mafia-throwing-snowballs-buffalo-behavior-new-fans-penalty-rule Edited December 22, 2022 by muppy

JESSEFEFFER
It was embarassing. Most of the rag arm throws from the upper deck landed short and on fans in lower deck. They hit camera operators, sideline viewers, security people and even Sal Capaccio. I was hoping that they would haul some of the guilty out after all the warnings.
