Can anyone confirm: Milano DNP today with a knee, but McDermott described him as “Day to Day”?

How did he describe Jordan Phillips?

A shot of DayQuil, and he should be right as rain, assuming he doesn’t throw it up before the game.

He’s got 4 days to “get right”, but I think Afrin is more likely than Dayquil

Our media doesn’t ask follow up questions so McDermott said he wouldn’t practice and nobody said anything.

They moved onto how the group was feeling and what it means to have Stefon Diggs in the locker room.

Oh, c’mon.  Our media does ask follow-ups sometimes - sometimes not the same guy, but one further down in the queue

Shame if they missed on this one though.

The weather forecast for this Sunday is maddening.  It's not terrible, but just bad enough that I'm not inclined to want to get soaked for three hours and then start an eight hour drive home.  That said, I really want to be there.

Schedule a hot shower at a truck stop, change to warm clothes, get a thermos of coffee, you’ll be “good to go”

Dawkins Limited return is honestly an encouraging sign. Tomorrow will loom large. I imagine today was “test it out” and if he is limited tmrw, it is a good sign.

A DNP would only certainly indicate he won’t play.

As I predicted, a return Sunday would be 17 days from the injury, or just short of the 3 weeks mentioned in his recovery timeline.

Almost always a full week of limited practice means that player won’t play.  Not always but way more than not under McDermott

Good point, although don’t they usually go “full” on Friday in these circumstances?

Sometimes but i e looked back on guys that have a limited practice everyday and under McDermott that players usually did not play.  Very rarely

kinda worried about Milano too.

Jets starting RT rookie Max Mitchell placed on Non football injury list and is out for Sunday and the rest of the year. Hopefully nothing too significant.

I don’t think he was starting anymore after George Fant returned

Why would the NFL care about a CB? They are all about the offense. Maybe because of the NYC market?

If you watch the various football shows, the media heads have been talking all season about how GREAT it is for the New York teams (Jets and Giants) to be playing well.  Not because the fans have been suffering long and deserve some success.  Just because it's New York City.  They aren't even trying to hide it.  Disgusting as it is, there is a clear bias for certain franchises.  Especially those in big markets.

Early in the season, the Jets didn't have many marketable players.  Their starting QB was terrible.  Their rookie RB went down with a season-ending injury.  Their rookie WR wasn't getting the ball much.  Most of the good players were on defense.  Perfect opportunity to push "the next Revis" who already comes into the NFL with a cool nickname.

Honestly, I've never seen a player (especially a rookie) get ignored on clear pass interference so often.  Doesn't turn around.  Hands in the face/chest of the receiver.  No flag.  And I'm not the only fan who notices it.  There is a clear push to turn Sauce Gardner into a big name.

He looked the part against the Bills last time.  Not sure what you are getting at

My phone is showing 40 degrees and rain on Sunday for WNY. What’s the local weather forecast saying?

High of 38 with a 77% chance of rain/snow mix.

”Snow during the morning will mix with rain at times during the afternoon.  Winds SSW at 5 - 10 mph”.

Really not that bad of a forecast for Dec in OP. The rain sucks but just bring a poncho.

I remember at least two PI from that game uncalled. One on Diggs that was obvious, and one on Gabe Davis at the end of the game that they call sometimes, but sometimes not due to the importance of the play.

Wow, just wow.  He's not a FA until 2025 and you want to get rid of him next year.

This is the straw that broke the camel's back for me.  You're on "time out".  You might get reinstated for the playoffs.  Might.

Why do all you reasonable and rational posters keep engaging with this guy?  He doesn't know football, he doesn't say reasonable stuff about the Bills.  He's just here for the clicks and outrage.

This is actually a pretty bizarre take. Are you suggesting that there is a connection between what the pundits are saying about a large-market rookie, and how the officials are treating that rookie?

I know that every year there is a bunch of talk from fans about the refs favoring one team over another (and it's always the fan's team that is being aggrieved). But, to do so would be literally felonious. In terms of revenue, teams operate independently from the league, and the league works for the teams. For the league to conspire with the refs to favor one team damages the other teams they play. It would violate not only anti-trust laws, but would violate RICO laws, as well. Imagine if a team missed the playoffs as a result of such a scheme, how much revenue that team, and the city in which they reside would lose?

I was at this game -a real nail biter! When the Bills broke the huddle, I immediately recognized Lofton had single coverage and yelled it out. “Find James, Jimmy! Find James!’ I yelled! Sure enough, Kelly saw it and heaved the ball down the sideline. Everyone in my area was up on their feet when Kelly looked that way and Lofton made a fantastic catch, grabbing the ball by the back end of the football. From that moment on til I moved to Florida, I was known as ‘Coach’ in my section🤣

They are all about marketing their stars.  He’s a great player with a marketable name playing for a NJ team.  He’ll probably be 1st team all pro this year too

I was at the next Bills-Jets game, in the Meadowlands, the following fall.  Similar vibe although a lower-scoring game.  Kelly hit Thurman in the end zone in the final minute to win it and I turned around, in my Bills shirt, and raised my arms in triumph.  I sat back down and my buddy, a Jets fan, had his head in his hands, mumbling, "I can't believe you turned around," as we both were showered with beer.  I apologized to him much later and he said, "don't even worry about it... it wasn't even in my top ten worst moments as a Jets fan."  🤣

The weather forecast reminds me of under the radar horrible weather game in this same time frame:

2007 against the New York Giants.

Absolutely frigid, rain/snow mix all game, tons of wind, 30’s.

Did anyone else go to that game?

The winner of that game won the chip that year.

i predict the same will happen this year!

James Lofton was so smooth.  He didn't even look like he was running fast.  It looked effortless.
