Bills at Lions - Post Game Thread

I'm pretty confident the bills looked stale due to the circumstances over the past week and a half. Sick players, one full practice for 2 games, a record breaking snow storm, game moved, more flights than usual, all in what, 8 days? I'd be really surprised if they don't look light years better next Thursday. Also, Dane Jackson is not the answer

Didn’t you throw the towel in around half time?

I think it was in the 3rd quarter I said the Bills were going to lose. I never threw in the towel though.

Hope you are right.

The bills had to literally get neighbors to dig them out of a snow storm and rush to the airport at the last minute to fly out and play a game on the road that they thought would be a home game and they won. Then they flew back to western NY, dug their homes out of the snow and turned around and flew back 3  days later for another game.

They missed prep time for the first game and probably had almost none for the second.

Be thankful for the W, A lot of teams with a lot less character would have just dialed in the last two games.

I agree. The Bills were very fortunate to play two mediocre teams. Both of these wins are bitter sweet. Sure, you have to be happy with the wins. That's the bottom line. However, in both games the Bills don't like like a playoff team let alone a Super Bowl team. That's pretty much not even up for debate. The Bills are just too injuried to be an elite team. The injuries are seemingly mounting with each game. Now it's Von Miller. Very unlikely the can the Bills overcome these injuries and make a deep playoff run. Imho, Allen is hurt more than is being led on. This team is playing on fumes.

What a game.    Ugly at times but it was great to see it in person.  That was the most bills fans that I have ever seen at an away game.

I rode home with a Lions season ticket holder. He said the game would have been easier without 25% of the fans supporting the Bills.

Game was a knife fight. They said it was going to be, and it was. Not sure what everyone thinks a knife fight looks like, but it means it's messy and tough, gritty, and the tough guy comes out the backside with wounds.

Bills fans are killing me with their obsession on style points. It's like no one has ever watched good teams and how the flow of their season goes.

Bills have some extra days to get right because mentally they are not there.

If you actually followed the Bills you’d know we DON’T have extra days. We’re playing next Thursday. THEN we get 10 days.

Much better this time.

In fairness to the chefs, last year we played the late Turkey game @ the Saints. Turkey had been done 8 hours earlier and was dry as sand. This year? Right out of the oven. Players (Allen, Diggs & Knox) did get a nice trophy last year though..

Our two superstars made the play when we needed it. But boy is there a LOT to clean up on both sides of the ball.

Start up in the booth. Has our offensive coordinator been nursing an injury? Is he just drunk? Incompetent? Regardless we need him to pull his head out of his ass, if its possible at this point. It's been stuck there for weeks.

Yes, so predictable.  Like, who can remember the last time we tried a trick play?

I am thankful that I don’t really follow the Bills.  The maturity of the posters around here. 🤦‍♂️

Allen & the Bills were tired of all the stupid “don’t win the close game stats” & decided to add this one to the close game W column.  Of course they will need to stay away from reading this message board for awhile, the fan base can only handle 20+ point easy wins.

I’m pretty sure that the Bills fan base is made up of 80% miserable human beings. Always finding the most negative aspects and railing on anybody who sees any positive. To those 80%, WGR is their bully pulpit. “Fire the coach’” is their rallying cry. Their misery is for some reason contagious and it has reached epidemic status on here.

Sports is supposed to be fun. To them it is yet another platform to spew hate and negativity. It’s just sad and pathetic.

Also I have to say...

I really like Dan Campbell as a coach..I am happy to see things are turning around for them and I hope he continues that and gets them back to the playoffs soon.

4-7 isn't exactly turning things around, 1-6 start or not

With some additional reflection, this was a wonderful and hard fought win. The defense stiffened when it had to, and has really solved most of the run

D issues that plagued them. The pass D was up and down, but I attribute it to very good Lions receivers.

On offense, the Bills were not their best with the injuries to the oline. But they strung together three really good second half drives (one ended in a flukey pick, but could have easily been a TD). And the GW FG drive was clutch.

This lions team is scrappy. They won three in a row, and have now lost to Miami, Philly, Minn, Seattle, and Buff all

By 1 score in each game.
