Bills release new stadium renderings

I would take the interior rending with a grain of salt. Look at the seats in the lower ball on the left side and how flat they look and then look at the seats on the right side in the lower bowl. It’s not really a great rendering that leads to the right perspective.

40,000 of the attendees are covered in that rendering?

Yeah, not really getting that vibe, either.  If true I would imagine someone has drawn a better angle.

300 level, you guys are golden, though.

It looks like some of the stands cover seats as well, maybe they’re accounting for that?

The canopy is way too small to be affective. Everyone is getting wet.

Doesn’t look like heat up there tho. 😢

I mean, it's definitely a stadium...

Pretty basic. But that was expected. Nothing that leaves me excited really. Still gonna be in Orchard Park, still gonna be freezing your butt off.

And those canopies aren't covering **** lol.

Where is the mesh?!

Oh yeah, they did a great job. Our stadium looks like most new ones, while theirs is amazing and different.

Look. it will be nice to have a new stadium with modern infrastructure and amenities.  No complaints. Let's go.

But if i want to nitpick, it's a missed opportunity....25 years from now people will still lament that the stadium is sitting in the middle of nowhere when it should be downtown,, and they should have spent the extra $ to put a retractable roof on the thing.  Even one of the two would have made this spectacular.

I keep hearing “built for Buffalo” and when I Hear that I can’t help but think, “least amount of cost”

So the poor people stay dry, and watch everybody else get wet!

Yes the rich people in the upper decks are dry and the poor folk on the sidelines, soaking wet. 🤔  35% of the fans will get wet, In the 20% of games that it rains...

Regardless looks sick to me - and there's a rep on talking about it on WGR, sounds sweet!

Are we talking retractable canopies? Is that even a thing? As shown, it doesn’t look like it would cover 65% of the seats.

If that’s the stadium, which apparently it is, then that’s a whole lot of meh from me. Then again, I’m someone who wanted a dome.

If the inspiration was Tottenham’s stadium then I think they managed to make one that looks worse.

ALL OF YOU COMPLAINING ABOUT THE CANOPY, STOP IT.  JUST STOP IT!

You are all 100% correct, but just stop.

😉

Honestly, I'm hoping it is just the trick of the angle...or somebody forgot to draw it out further.

they have hired people who have done this before. We should assume that professional architects are going to get this right before believing a rendering.

I love @SDS, maybe the best anywhere it running this, or any site, and I would never normally complain (as I set up my complaint), and I get the last thread was 75 pages long, but after all the harassing over the summer and fall Steel City DESERVED his thread's place in the sun for a little bit!

Although...I am quite the fan of efficiency so I respectfully withdraw my comment.  😁

@Steel City Mafia  buddy, the day has arrived.  Congrats.

Another day on and I don't have to ask "are we there yet?" I have to say I LOVE IT.   The ropes Josh Allen throws, I cannot see wind being an issue BUT, On a day its really really windy? there is going to be a swirl going on in that stadium.  You get your lip for weather protection, you get your great view no matter where you sit.

I LOVE IT!

People do not deserve to wade through a 77 page thread to find the beginning of where the renderings are.

Not a single folding table smash or fire in the exterior rendering - this is a fail for the marketing team.  They also forgot the obligatory Josh Allen leap over the stadium shot.  Here's a quick updated version before the SEQR meeting tonight.

The stadium that Allen built?

No. Because it’s not a final design. 65% is unacceptable. 80% was reported a few months ago.

This is 40-50 year stadium. They have to get it right.

Pretty unimpressed by these 2 renderings. they don't reveal much and if anything create more WTF type questions with so little info released.  For starters, a top down view would give a much better perspective on the canopy coverage, the 2nd pic doesn't imply even 25% coverage IMO, much less 65.  Also what's going on in the endzone underneath the videoboard?  Is that the standing room only section they previously mentioned?  I mean I guess it's sorta cool to have SRO at field level for the aerial visuals and player interaction, but standing to watch a game from there will suck.

Next, why does it appear that they plan to have wide open wind tunnel above the end-zone just beneath the canopy, and why have you tilted the relatively small videoboard? Like seriously, major WTF to me.  IMO all of that space should be one giant videoboard like virtually every other modern stadium has.

Also looks like 4 giant tunnels in each corner that go all the way up to to the upper deck.  Not understanding why they need such elevation from all 4 tunnels.

I would hope they could give some better renderings, overall the first release is disappointing at best. they really create more questions and provide few answers on where our $850 million is going.

Yeah, I’m not feeling this to be honest. Waste of money without a dome. Canopy is small and worthless.

The canopy keeps the wind off the field. That's the big advantage of utilizing a soccer style stadium.  It could be 40 mph outside, it won't effect the passing game.

Yeah, honestly not even worried.

I still think it maybe just the angle, SDS.

Allegedly it’s going to be like the old aud in terms of steepness and feeling like you are on top of the action.

Also to this, if you are going to take this long to release renderings and only put out 2 pictures in which 1 is not that great, you deserve a little heat.
