Drafting Jameson Williams will make us unstoppable

Im hoping WR Jameson Williams falls to us do to his injury

6'2" 190 4.25-40

Very good hands accepts the ball fluidly on most throws and is ready to make a play afterward. Makes catches in traffic, even going up over taller defenders with vertical and toughness.

He is a monster with his ability to stretch the field vertically and track the deep ball.

Williams has been Alabama’s most productive pass catcher and he’s also had two kickoff return touchdowns.

A slippery runner with elusive footwork. Has little to no wasted movements between the reception and burst upfield.

Combines speed, balance, quickness, vision, and crisp cuts to leave defensive backs and linebackers in the dust.

A pass-catcher that dominates at the start of a route due to his explosive quickness and short-area burst, his ability to couple his isolation skills with sure hands and YAC ability is the best in college football

Fits a zone system, can sift through oncoming traffic and explode through tiny creases and cutback lanes. Elite, darting stop-and-go acceleration.

A high school track star who won Missouri state championships in both the 300-meter hurdles and 400-meter dash. We estimate his forty yard dash time to be in the high 4.2's by the time the combine comes round

Similar Crimson Tide standout and Denver Broncos first-rounder Jerry Jeudy, although even more explosive.

Drake London's size and work in the slot could make things dangerous too. As we still don't have any big WRs for the endzone, granted OJ Howard does help at 6'6" but a big slot guy like London replacing Beasley adds a dimension we could use but not sure count on any rookie to be as good as Beasley is.

If he's there at 25 and we don't take him, i'll be sick.

I know we could use a CB, but he's a top 10 talent who would ONLY be there due to his injury.  I don't even care if he and Tre miss the first quarter of the season, just get them going halfway through the season and ramped up for the Playoffs.

We could trade up if within range. We are out to win the Superbowl this year and making a bold move is the way to go. This team is so stacked that many of the picks wont make this team if they were to actually use all the picks.

Not a bad option but im not worried about the slot, we do have big WRs in Kumerow and Isaiah Hodgins

How is his actual route running and hands?  All the highlights I see of him are Kick Returns and Deep balls.  We need someone who can also find the zone and make contested catches?

For now we need that speed and deep threat, he will learn over time and we have other guys that can do that.

I like this general line of thinking.

A big, physical WR who can fly can single handedly impact our wins total more easily than any other position except QB....and we already have that...but I still fear these guys will draft a F-ing Defensive lineman or some other wasted pick that demonstrates a fundamental lack of understanding of value.

Would LOVE to see impact offensive weapon picks with our top pick or picks.

Olave would be my pick if he's there. Why take Williams, who couldn't beat him out, if the better route runner and better hands are available.

SPEED !! we are in win now mode, we can always get better route runners later.

I like the idea, but am concerned that the severity of his injury may preclude him from ever having the same game-breaking ability that he showed in college.

He'll be fine , with todays technology they can rebuild him. (6 million dollar man theme song 😄 )

Agreed. If the evaluation is comparable, why take a guy who’s injured, especially at that position?

Hate to break it to ya... this team is looking at CB's now that Levi is a Steeler

Of course they are, but there’s still every likelihood they go WR in the first and CB in the second…it will all depend how the board falls…

I’m partial to Calvin Austin in the 2nd, CB in the 1st...

Just any corner and only one specific WR?  Sorry…don’t agree. You don’t just take a corner in the first because of need. That player has to have the right skill set and be the right fit first and foremost. Waiting until the end of the second is a dangerous spot if you are targeting one specific player. Let the board fall. If a WR you like is there in round one, then take him.

Drafting for need is how we ended up with EJ Manuel.

If his medical checks out I really doubt he is going to fall to us. We can hope.  I'd like Chris Olave and put him in the slot and boom we have an insanely fast slot guy. Go cb in round 2 and guard round 3 and we are loaded.

I agree. He will only fall if there isn’t a good report. If he is ahead of schedule then someone will take him before us. He’s gonna be really good.

I think I’d rather have Dotson than olave. Dotson has the best hands in the draft and isn’t afraid of catching the ball in traffic. There are concerns about Olave and his lack of physicality.
