You can only deodorize a garbage dump for so long. He isn't a sufficiently mature individual to run an NFL team

Judging from your history of calling these things..........he will definitely make it thru 2022..........we will bring this post back up in December to point out that you were wrong.........and then he will be forced to sell the team in 2023.

Who is going to force these guys out?

Goodell works for them. And the other owners (like Irsay, Haslam, Jones, etc) certainly don't want to start holding each other accountable since they're almost all dirty dogs in some way or another.

Even though they should be removed, Snyder and Ross aren't going anywhere.

My money is on Ross.  If there is any fire to Flores's smoke about being offered to be paid to deliberately throw games, that will force the NFL to take action.  The integrity of the game is on the line.

Ross hasn't been found guilty of anything yet, so people calling for their "removal" can't be listened to.

And you're correct, no owner has been forced to sell his team (Richardson volunteered) under Goodell's tenure.

Ross, by the way, has come out swinging, denying everything and pledging complete cooperation with the NFL investigation.  He is a lawyer and  an actual self-made real estate tycoon.  Related Companies is a massive RE player in NYC and worldwide.

This could get exciting soon.

Fines, suspension, draft picks.

You mean Mr. Deniel "I'LL NEVER CHANGE THE TEAM NAME! I'LL NEVER CHANGE THE TEAM NAME! OK, I'm changing the team name" Snyder?

He's just like any other prominent figure... he's throw money at the problem, stomp his feet, yell and scream he's innocent until you either legally bring him down with the full power of the law or he self destructs. Mere public pressure doesn't work with this guy.

I'm afraid not much will be done with Snyder because our country is regressing and accusations that Snyder is facing will probably go unpunished.

Ross will probably get heavily fined and lose draft picks, I would guess at least 1 first rounder if the NFL finds Flores credible. (Integrity of the game)

I see Giants facing whatever penalty the Rooney rule  gives out for violating it.

Snyder may be forced to step away from the team and Banned from stadiums. If the allegations proven true.

I think we can all agree that Daniel Snider is a PoS, his organization is a perpetual tire fire that will never cease to burn and pollute the NFL.  If guilty (I'm sure he is), but if proven- then I hope he's forced to sell the team and compensate the women.

That said, it bugs me that this issue is starting out at the level of the US House or Representatives.  Surely there are bigger fish to fry within our country that could benefit from the time and attention of the House's committee of Oversight and Reform.   Several problems that immediately come to mind that have much more significance than Daniel Snider's philandering are Big Tech, theft of tax payer money by corporations and major institutions of state tax money, corrupt government officials (elected and appointed), censorship & cancel culture, our half a$$ed voting processes and laws (especially at a national level), etc.

I remember years back circa 2007/2008 I was at FOB Normandy in Iraq and one day found myself in the MWR (morale, welfare and recreation) building watching US cable news via satellite.  The big story that was consuming the nation was the governments interest and involvement in the steroids in baseball scandal.  Meanwhile, 150 feet outside the window where I was watching the news, I saw another unit operating out of FOB Normandy conducting a memorial ceremony for (4) of their soldiers that were KIA the previous day.  That experience always stuck with me and highlights how a$$ backwards our nations priorities can be.

That’s really the issue.  No owner seems to be interested in accountability becoming a thing for them.  That’s strictly for the worker bees.

No, the other owners will turn on their own in a heartbeat if the person becomes the black sheep of the league and threatens the long term economic viability of the sport.

Who do you think forced Donald Sterling out of the NBA?

From what I can gather in that article, I want to party with Dan Snyder.

LOL

"Baker, who spent two years on the team's video production staff, alleged that he and others were "told to edit together lewd footage" from the cheerleaders' "Beauties on the Beach" calendar shoot documentary "at the request of Daniel Snyder" -- footage in which the cheerleaders' "breasts and ***** areas were exposed"."

"Coburn corroborated Baker's allegation. She said the video was "secretly made" as "essentially a soft-porn video, soundtracked to Dan Snyder's favorite bands". Coburn also alleged, soon after starting her marketing role, she was invited to sleep at Snyder's home in Aspen, Colorado, after a drunken "awards trip" dinner -- except she was asked to stay in the basement "because the men had invited prostitutes back"."

Tough to compare the NBA, and the way Silver and those owners run that league, with the drunken fratboy free-for-all of NFL ownership.

Isn't this basically the same reason the league forced Jerry Richardson to sell the Panthers?

There are various provisions in ownership agreements in the NFL that give the league leverage to force the sale of a team through legal action.  Reference Jerry Richardson and the Panthers.  Fortunately that mess didn't evolve into a drawn out legal battle.

Reading back, it seems Richardson was already thinking about selling since both of his sons had left the team operations years before. He announced his intent to sell the team before the NFL even started its investigation. Pretty much the same day the Sports Illustrated story dropped.

Not exactly the same as how Snyder has handled it. And so far, the NFL hasnt really had to force anyone out.

edit: SI story dropped Dec 17, 2017. Richardson announced his intent to sell Dec 18.

Owners have been forced to sell their respective teams before. It happens.

Brian Flores says this happened:

"May we all get what we want, and never what we deserve!"

This is like resigning when you are about to be fired, I think. We will never know for sure.

IF, and it’s a BIG IF, it can be PROVEN that Ross was willing to pay to tank games, that is a line that can NOT be crossed. Maybe Haslam and some other guys are are not model citizens, but offering to pay to tank games is just unacceptable.  The ultimate sin. This is especially true with the emergence of legalized gambling.

or committing suicide after being convicted with murder and appealing so you get "off" scott free.

Well he needed to make back money lost by mishandling by GM so insisting on tank so he could put bets on the under makes sense.

Giants didn’t violate the Rooney rule. So that’s not happening. I also doubt either of the other owners face major penalties either.
