I thought it was clean. He didn't drive him into the ground and he let go.

Not sure what makes that roughing. Too high?

Driving into the ground. He had him wrapped up and landed on him. Pretty ticky tack call, though, imo.

Boogie knows he is struggling and that was a desperation attempt to make a play.

I don’t buy this. He has been taught, since very early in life to get the QB. What he did is, technically, illegal, but it was what almost all would do in the milliseconds he has to make the decision.

Boogie took 3 steps between the ball coming out and contacting the QB. That is getting called every time.

I was looking at how the takedown was executed and it seemed clean, if he did take more than a step then yes, I can't disagree.

The league wants you to peel off at the last second even tho it might be physically impossible. It’s because of when Anthony Barr broke Rodgers shoulder

Exactly. He took one step. There’s no way you can stop that momentum.

It's terrible. Not sure how someone is supposed to alter physics mid tackle.

They can’t it’s a terrible rule . I get protecting the QB but the defense needs some wiggle room

It’s preseason for the refs too.
Calls are missed in every game. Bad calls every game. Just gotta be the better team at the end of the day.
It’s game one of the preseason, it’s not like the refs are out to get us lol. And some of you guys are judging off emotion and not what the rule is.

Please explain. He took one step and didn’t plant the QB. You could see him let up.

He let up too late after already landing on him, pretty much.

I personally don't like the rule. I think you should be able to drive QB's into the ground. It's football.

Why doesn't the NFL just adopt the rules of flag football? That would solve everything. Then no more hurty boo boos for any QBs.

Preseason for us too. Gotta practice that whining.
