Take the Covid19 discussion to one of the several appropriate threads dedicated to it.

I'm about to spend some time I could put to better use cleaning up the thread.

If you can't restrain yourself I will restrain you.

Would anyone here take Melvin Gordon? Not sure how I feel about him

Sure, very good RB, effective in short yardage, can be a bell cow, and a legit weapon in the passing game.

No interest in paying him $10M+ per year though...

If Brady goes to Tampa and Winston stays a FA , where does he land ?

Jameis Winston undergoes LASIK eye surgery

Likely gone are the photos of Winston squinting on the sideline, which often became memes. Perhaps the interceptions won't be as frequent, too.

There's no telling how much such an operation might help the nearsighted Winston. He's not the first NFL player to see an eye specialist after struggling on the field (notably, first-round bust Troy Williamson pinned his drops on his eyes) though it's worth noting Winston didn't blame his turnovers on his eyesight.

Sharp vision should be a prerequisite for playing the position, of course, and Winston made it this far without LASIK. After all, he led the NFL in passing yards, breaking 5,100 despite the 30 interceptions. Maybe it helps him curb his penchant for taking risks, but we'll first have to learn where he's playing in 2020 before he can start to throw with the help of 20/20 vision.

Well the NFL Network is now officially the TBN (Tom Brady Network). How many f'n different reporters, talking heads can they get to weigh in on this guy. He's aging and deteriorating. He's not that big of a deal now.

Looks like Rivers to Indy.  Not surprising.

Looks like 100 reporters have banned together to have the report for the last two days.  How long can something be on the verge.

He is also the greatest player in the history of football is about to change teams.  Not sure what you expected.  Maybe they should give half of that coverage to the Saints resigning David Onyemata? Or step by step insight on how the Vikings resigned their fullback?

I expect tv that's not monotonous, boring and repetitive. Unless you are a Pat's, Buc's or Charger fan I don't know how you can't turn the shite off.

Better off listening to Podcasts.   TV, especially anything related to the NFL that is not a game is insufferable.

Jordan Howard to Dolphins

2 years 10M

Dolphins are going crazy. I do like they way they played last season despite being a non playoff team. I like the coach. He gets them to play hard. I like the play calling for them as well.

Agree. They will be the main competition for the Bills long term, not the Jets. I’ll take a wait and see approach with the Pats* for now; they’re an unknown at the moment .

Anyone know what Miami’s cap situation is?

I think going into yesterday they had the most cap room. 100 million? You would have to fact check me but I'm sure that's what I heard on the NFL channel on Sirius

As always, much of this will come down to the QB.

The Dolphins very possibly amassed all these picks, but then played themselves out of the top two prospects in the draft.  Sounds exactly like our approach for much of the last 15-20 years, which led to the longest playoff stretch in the NFL.  My hope is that Washington takes Tua, just so the Dolphins get stuck with the leftovers.

The Patriots are pretty much screwed for 2020.  I don't care who the coach is.  The best QBs left on the market include Cam Newton, Jameis Winston and Andy Dalton.  The top QB prospects will be long-gone by pick #23.  Combine this with among the worst RB/WR combinations in the league.  They will likely still have a strong defense, but the fall from grace isn't going to pretty for the people of Boston.
