I'm not real sure how i feel about the no kicking thing in the NFL that would mean there would be no others like Ray Guy, Yan Stenarude, Devin Hestor, Gary Anderson, George Blanda, Morten Anderson , or Adam Vinatierri !! Steve Chrisiti with the kick that won the greatest come back in play off history with out that kick the Bills may not have won that game & with out the wide right kick there would never be another game with 8 seconds left on the clock & the chance of a team to win the biggest game of the year on a kick ? not sure just what that would take away from the game ! If kicking is taken out of the game one positive is there would never be another wide right reference & it would only effect those of us that are old enough to remember that infamous kick but it's like a burger with no fries, chicken wings with no Buffalo sauce ?I'm just not sure if the game would be the same ! I know the way the pro bowl is now they have no on side kick, no kick offs they just start at their own 25 seems very BLAH to me but i am old school & i love the thought of a guy busting a kick return for 99 yds to turn a game around or win it on the last play of the game !! JMHO . Some of the rule changes for kicks like no running start is good & moving the kick up to the 25 to get more touch backs as to cut down on player injury is good but its been a part of the game so long it would be like cars with auto pilot ...

RobbRiddick
I HATE the idea of no punting, which is what will happen one day. For me there's nothing better than a tough, tight game of football that becomes a cat and mouse game of field position. Is it just because we lost a Superbowl on the wide right kick? 2 hours ago, DallasMac said: I'd have zero issue if they took it out I guess I like the tradition of kicking. I like that it's part of the game and I think it would be a shame if it was taken out, especially kickoffs. I think it's a part of the game and taking it out changes it at a fundamental level. I like the game how it is, mostly (I'd push kickoffs back to where they were to bring returns back into the game). We just have to figure out officiating. Of all the rules changes by the XFL, I'd like the shorter play clock I think, and that's all.

Motorin'
Madden has a no kicking game you can play online called Super Star KO. Each team gets one drive to score. Most points win. What's really interesting is how it settles ties... The ball gets placed at the 50, and each team alternates offensive plays. 4 plays each. If one team scores a TD, game over. But otherwise the team wins who forces the ball in the opponents side of the 50 when it's all said and done. This could be a much more dramatic way to settle ties in OT during the regular season. Here are 2 guys talking football on a message board and we don’t know the name of the league. We are WAY more into football than most people and we could not name a team in the last league. That’s a problem. These minor leagues NEED people like us have to be the core and from there they can attract fringe fans. If these leagues cannot pull in people like us how are they ever going to get the next tiers to survive? But no I can’t even remember what the team name was now. So I definitely wasn’t that invested. This league has a better shot, WWE has a very large worldwide fan base for wrestling and I would expect they’ll advertise a lot on their wrestling platforms to gain some viewership. I’m interested in the rules, that seems to be the strong point of drawing people to this league. They are definitely lacking some star power though. Any upstart is facing an extremely uphill battle to survive.
