They look good at the moment, but it can all change quickly. The media loves to annoint players on a limited sample of play. I believe Lamar Jackson was the darling of the media after his first two games this year - and being talked about as a potential league MVP. He still may; however, he has looked pretty pedestrian over his last three starts and, all of a sudden, not talked about as much. Some young QBs start strong, then fade off as defenses begin to gather film and notice tendencies. He really was a victim of circumstance in college, but he still has a long way to go. No sure if it sustains, but they guy has some pedigree. He hasn’t been asked to put the team on his back and win them a game yet, he’s just being asked to get the ball to McCaffrey and not take chances. So too early to make any real conclusions on him. He’s looked more like a backup QB playing as a game manager more to me than a future franchise QB. But to be fair to Allen, that’s also all he’s been asked to do. First three games 5 sack for five fumbles. He fumbled again yesterday but they recovered the ball. The Panthers are getting HOF level play from CMC.
