Bal K Justin Tucker 4yr $20mil

Recommended Posts

Best kicker in the game. And likely he'll be the Raven's top scorer this year. I don't imagine the Ravens will have a high scoring offense this year.

Everybody else is getting bigger contracts, why should we be surprised to see a kicker get more money? Especially when he can hit a 60 yd kick.

...UDFA with ONE season of < 30 FG's (had 29) over 8 years....90.1% as well....that works........

He may be the best I have ever seen

He is for me.   The ball literally jumps off his foot and goes instantly higher than seems possible.  I don't know if it's even possible to block a FG with this cat.

I'm still amazed at how far down the pecking order kickers go as far as draft, scouting etc.    Browns win their division last year with Justin Tucker on their team.   Awful kicking cost them at least two wins from the first 3 games and another mid season.

If I was a billionaire owner I'd have a $5M bounty out worldwide to find the best kicker.  Contests, tryouts and prizes from Brazil to South Africa, Russia to Australia.   It's a simple thing to set up, doesn't require any analysis or guesswork, it's all math (adjusted for temp and elevations of course).

All the money spent on developing a good team and guys like Justin Tucker go UNDRAFTED.   Biggest impact player on the team next to QB and nobody even talks about em.

Would not happen on my watch.

They averaged more points in Jackson starts than we did in Allen starts, 24 to 17.5. Glass houses.

And Tucker is awesome.  Always try to draft him in fantasy.

would you rather have jackson or allen?

I wasn’t really comparing the two but it was just funny that he was laughing at Jackson.

But to answer, before the draft, I had them tied.  I liked both of their physical skills but I worried about their passing ability for different reasons.  I lean towards Allen because he has the strong arm.  But at this point, they are closer than most Bills fans think.

It's only $5M.

The other report is $23.2M........which would be $5.8M........but either way it's too much.

Just get rid of the kickers and punters and frickin' "long snappers"..........goofy specialist positions.........add more actual scrimmage players and make all 53 active and with that depth you can easily go to 18 regular season games.

There are literally 6-7 grunters and punters now on every team whose primary purpose is to play teams........which are dangerous and don't sell jerseys.

Start possession at the 25 after a score or at start of halves.................instead of punting just flip the field 30 yards if you don't want to go for it..........no more field goals or extra points...........only ones that will miss the kicking aspect are the book makers.

You're going to get roasted for being a "hater" by the true believers on TSW for even daring to even think that Baltimore might be as good or better than the Bills in 2019.   Despite the fact the Ravens had 10 wins and made the playoffs in 2018 and in 2017 had 9 wins and missed the playoffs because of the same Hail Mary fourth and twelve play that broke the Bills 18 year playoff drought, the Bills cheerleaders are convinced that the Ravens are going to challenge Oakland, Arizona, and the Giants for the #1 pick in 2020 while the Bills are going to challenge NE for the AFCE and be a serious Super Bowl contender because their never-fail crystal balls tell them that Allen is going to be great and Jackson is going to bust.

A kicker just might win or lose a couple games a year for you. Enough to decide if you make the playoffs. I don’t begrudge the best in the world at something in a multi-billion dollar industry getting paid. Very well paid. A punter? Not so much, but they’ll still make plenty to get by on....I’d take the punters checks!

Why call it “foot”ball then?

I truly hope you’ll see the error of your ways this season.

...Raiders 1st rounders ala Guy and Janakowski set the NFL kicking world on its ear....this kid is a rags to riches UDFA and good for him...look at the Bucks with Aguayo as a can't miss 2nd round pick....if you land a damn good one, pay him..hence Tucker cashes in....i

I wouldn't go that far but if you punt into the end zone the ball should come out to the 35 yard line-anything to stop stupid coaches punting from the 35 yard line-the most irritating thing going.

If a kickoff goes to the 25 I don't understand why a punt shouldn't either.
