JoeF
Good news. Johnson will be available for half the games and Gaines for the other half. Seriously, EJ was really good when on the field. 16 17
NY Nole
Thought he was a very solid player when healthy. Really like the depth this team is accumulating. Good work Bean.
blacklabel
I guess they really wanna create competition across from Tre'. I thought Levi Wallace played well last season but they must think they can do better given the signings of Kevin Johnson and now Gaines.

Beane is a wizard I mean he's doing good work, but he has a lot of cap space and an owner that doesn't hold back cash. A lot of the signings make sense though, which is different from past GMs. There seems to be a plan. That was why I didn't love the Antonio Brown rumors because it didn't fit this team right now.
thebandit27
Value signing for sure...give the team a LOT of flexibility with how they structure their corner play. EJ can play boundary or slot, as can Ryan Lewis, so that's probably a competition for boundary CB3 and slot backup.
TOboy
Another great low key signing. Can’t help but wonder how much and if it impacts other potential deals (Spain still on the table?). Regardless they’ve plugged a lot of holes and significantly improved the depth of this roster.
ChattanoogaBills
Very good competitive corner when healthy and he knows and has already had success in our defense. Great move bean... Im starting to really like Brandon Beane's work this probably our 3rd most important signing this offseason.

dollars 2 donuts
I love this. I wanted this last year. Honestly, things might have turned out a bit differently if they had signed him last year when they had the chance. No, not playoffs, but you know what I mean. That debacle in the first 2 games was gross. I would have paid him 5-6 last year and when (Cleveland?) got him for 4 I was P.O.'d. An easy amount for a guy they liked. aristocrat
our secondary looking very good right now. hope his head is ok. we have two corners coming off serious concussions. let's get them the double bubble helmet.
YoloinOhio
I always think about this same play whenever anyone mentions Gaines, because McDermott referenced it specifically in the post game, and you could tell he loved him 7 5

Magox
Wow! For those that don't remember, without Gaines level of play the Bills would have never have made it to the playoffs. He is a gamer and he thrives in this system. I thought the Bills were pretty much set at DB but there are now 3 guys who have a legitimate shot at starting opposite side of Tre. 6

elroy16
Wallace only played the last half of the season. It's smart to make sure there's competition there in case he struggles. I'd love for him to take the starting job and keep it for the foreseeable future, but it's not a guarantee. I like the signing a lot. Gaines should be able to come right in and start or be strong depth that can step right in if someone struggles or gets hurt. Damn I am loving me some McBeane these days.
