Quote

Nzeocha has spent the last two seasons with the 49ers as mostly a key special teams player. He played in all 16 games last season and made three starts. He recorded 22 tackles with a sack and a forced fumble, all career-highs.

Nzeocha played more special teams snaps than any player on the 49ers in 2018. He was on the field for 354 of 463 special teams snaps, which is 76.5 percent of all snaps. He would pair with Deon Lacey, Lafayette Pitts and Siran Neal as the most utilized special teams pieces for the Bills should he sign with the team.

Neocha came to the 49ers in 2017 after spending his first two seasons with the Dallas Cowboys. He’s appeared in 31 career games.

I think we all can still painfully remember how bad our special team play was last year, good to see the FO working to address it in addition to our offense.

Definitely one of the big priorities along with the OL and WR core which they’ve worked to address as well. Interestingly , all 3 units will have new, young coaches.

He would be an excellent fit.  High character, outstanding athleticism, great special teamer.  He came to football late.  He's older for his experience level, but also has low miles for his age.  I think he was a teammate of Josh Allen's at Wyoming.  He converted from safety to LB while at Wyoming, so he might have some cover skills in pass defense.

Wat?! I dunno who this guy is therefore they should not sign him! Frickin' Beane, man, just going out there and looking at the nobodies while there are Hall of Fame free agents just sittin' on the couch waiting for his call. This front office... I tell ya...

No idea who he is

From https://www.lockedon49ers.com/sf-49ers/nfl-free-agency-2019-49ers-top-5-free-agents/

4. 49ers LB Mark Nzeocha

SAM linebacker Mark Nzeocha is another player who deserves a roster spot in 2019, but not necessarily the starting job he won in 2018. The 49ers are likely to look for a starting-caliber outside linebacker in either the draft or free agency, but Nzeocha would provide much-needed depth at the position. The veteran was also a core special-teamer for San Francisco last season, and nearly made the Pro Bowl thanks to the ballot-stuffing efforts of his fellow Germans. As an unrestricted free agent (UFA), Nzeocha will be able to negotiate freely with other teams if he hits free agency next month.

Core special teamer and a SAM. Similar to Lorenzo

When you take the time to think about it with all the priorities that this team has/had, It really is a testament to the coaching staff that we won 6 games.

Why do you love seeing that kind of thing, Joe?

Because it doesn't show the LB that this thread is discussing?  Maybe he's the one who took the pic?

The food at that place is amazing and not over the top expensive either. Wifey loves it there, I think we might actually go tomorrow now...

Apparently D'Mari Scott is not allowed to eat.

He's probably the one guy at the table that has to wait for his order after everyone already gets theirs. That's always a weird feeling, server comes out, tray full of plates, "OK, here's the fish...and the chicken...and the steak....and for you...another five minute wait because our cook dropped your hamburger under the dishwasher and we're just trying to clean that off for you. Enjoy!"

Yes, considering almost every single starter on the offense has already been replaced even before the draft.

Accidentally posted it in the wrong thread   I had deleted it by the time @Joe in Winslow had quoted, so I'm not sure why it still showed up.

Guess I'm not perfect after all!

...think these coaches are smart enough to avoid the "Bobby April Syndrome".....he had WAY too much say in the final 53....the majority of his ST gang could NOT play their natural positions when called upon...the injury bug hit and we had NOW HIRING signs at Walmart.....they redefined one dimensional......

Must have told Beane he thought Buffalo was a ***** town....Beane got pissed again.

Cant blame a guy who is a STs guy who got to play some defense for the 49ers staying there especially if they are giving him decent money and long term security. Doesn’t have to uproot and move across country doesn’t hurt either

Definitely an area that we need vast improvement... Glad to see them trying to take steps to address it!
