I feel for Jim Kelly. Given everything he has been with his health issues now he has to deal with this dumb a$& doing something like this....

Kelly was no saint at this age...I remember when he first came to Buffalo. I saw him in bars often....throwing drinks in peoples faces...starting fights...

Take a look at google map image of the street. Its an older looking street with old houses, not your new development. He was just wasted and probably saw a light on.

Yeah my guess is wasted + wrong house.

When the party ends at one place there are always those people who are down to go to the next place and sometimes they end up in wrong place.

But Chad Kelly really can't afford to let himself get in positions like this.........he needs to be clean a sober.........interesting to see if Elway cans him.

Yeah my guess is he just wandered into wrong place drunk.

Lotta' those cookie cutter developments around suburban Denver where houses all look about the same.

Going to wrong house drunk is what got pole 6's Anthony kicked out of the seminary at St. John's...........that and being the only not-gay dude there.

They wouldn't be charging him with a more severe charge if they didnt have reason for it and couldnt make the charge stick. If he just wandered in somewhere drunk by accident they wouldn't go with a more severe charge because it wouldn't have him plead down, they would fight to have the charges dropped, and if they cant prove the higher charge, the police cant then say they will lower the charge.

They wont charge you with criminal trespassing if you just wonder in somewhere drunk, they had to have found him doing something else to lead to the criminal part of the charge. (Like rummaging through the owners possessions, or medicine cabinet, or threatening someone)

Uh... Josh not winning fast enough for you yet?  How about the other rook qb's in the league, theyre averaging 2 wins so far as well.   They must all suck and meth head Chad is the answer.  Its simple !

Josh was never a good QB, the wins and losses don't matter, it's about the talent they have shown. All 3 have shown flashes with their arms, Josh has not. Josh Allen will be known as Tallrod when his time is done. Can make some plays with his legs and throw the ball a mile, will never lead a successful offense week in and week out of the NFL.

I don't think meth is an issue for Chad

I'm more worried about wearing a red scarf, and being forced off by a vacuum cleaner attachment.

Is that worse than crying when you break your ankle?

Wander as in not a break-in with premeditated burglary or assault in mind.   Doesn't mean it didn't turn into a confrontation.   People that are drunk/wasted are sometimes difficult to reason with.

But maybe you guys are right and he was out to assault someone or burglarize medicine cabinets.   Could be.   Just not my guess.

Yes, no one has ever been over charged in the history of law enforcement.

Colorado Law FWIW

1. What is criminal trespass in Colorado?

1.1. First degree trespass -- 18-4-502 C.R.S.

18-4-502 C.R.S. provides:

A person commits the crime of first degree criminal trespass if such person knowingly and unlawfully enters or remains in a dwelling of another or if such person enters any motor vehicle with intent to commit a crime therein.

The keys to first degree trespass are:

  • The property is someone's home, or
  • The property is someone's motor vehicle and you are entering it to commit a crime (such as auto theft).

Because these are places in which people are likely to be present, this is the most serious form of trespassing.

Note that the vehicle does not need to be locked for you to be charged with first degree trespass. Even entering the open bed of a pick-up truck is enough if your intent is to commit a crime in the vehicle.

  • Example: While her UPS driver is delivering packages in the building, Allie climbs into the back of the truck, intending to steal some packages. Because she enters the vehicle intending to commit a crime (theft), she is guilty of first degree trespass.

2. Colorado trespassing penalties

2.1. First degree trespass

Under 18-4-502 C.R.S., first degree criminal trespass is a Colorado class 5 felony.

Consequences of first degree trespass can include:

  • 1-3 years in prison, and/or
  • A fine of $1,000-$100,000.

So he sat on the tailgate of some snooty snobs.

I wonder if someone is unlawfully in a dwelling if he/she refuses to leave when asked to do so?
