Sorry folks but 12 & 22 don’t get you #2. Not even on the value chart! The NYG have 5 picks in the draft. They are gonna milk this cow for 5 picks!

Dud you have NO idea what you're talking about. Why not just throw in 2019 and 2020 1st rounders. I presume by "forward thinking" you mean thinking in a manner that NO ONE else would think, because that's what you're presenting.

Personally think the value was low.

Cincinnati got a stud LT who is on a reasonable contract because we have already paid the big dollars on it.  The foot surgeries are in his past and is now healthy.  The market for OTs is so crappy both in FA and draft.  Not a good return considering everything.

Everything you say is wrong

But they get you to 4 and Indy probably won't pick a QB. I suppose they could trade it though and then we would be in trouble at 4.

Consider this though. We have good relations with Cleveland for I don't know why we do but we do.

at 2 we have Gettleman connection.

at 3 we have  Frank Reich connection and they don't need a QB.

So maybe none of those teams will outright trick lie or deceive us and that is a good place to be.

There are no friends on draft day.  There are people to be used and discarded when done.

Browns receive:
» 2016 first-round pick (No. 8): Traded to Titans
» 2016 third-round pick (No. 77): Traded to Panthers
» 2016 fourth-round pick (No. 100): Traded to Raiders
» 2017 first-round pick
» 2018 second-round pick

Eagles didn't have 2 first round picks. did they?

12, 22, one 2nd and the 3rd from Cleveland for #2

1. Trade up with Giants

2. Pump-fake the Browns into thinking you are taking their QB at #2

3. Cleveland panics and takes their QB  - Bills take BARKLEY!!! at 2

4. TRADE Shady to Philly for Foles!!!

Championship.

Ladies and gentleman, we have two very strong entries to start the new game of "How Brandon Beane can lose an entire fan base on one day."

I knew they were trading Cordy, but if this a stupid move to sign a rookie QB. Then I'm done,. They could trade him and get good impact players who can't start next year, or. Rookie QB that may not even make it.  The Bills havnt had a good draft since Bill Polion.  Just stupid moves one right after another.  Build a team around Taylor and we will be contenders, guaranteed.

Keep getting your opinions from The Bleacher Report or Draftanalysis or whatever. Rudolph is easily within the top three QBs; possibly the second best. Easily. And a little hint: Josh Allen and Lamar don't even belong in a discussion for the first round.

Watch and wait and see what happens to a QB that already has a concussion protocol or a guy that can't hold on to the football. Hell, I'm hoping the Jets get Rosen.

You're right of course, that's why every scouting agency out there has him rated as a 2nd rounder. The ONLY person rating him high is Chris Trapasso and he's a nobody, are you Chris' mom?

I love already hearing what we got but still reading this thread from the first post and see how excited everyone got.

I love Brandon Beane so much I would kiss him right on the mouth

#thankyoukiss

All kidding aside, I don't know how he keeps pulling trades like this off. Two players everyone knew we had no plan on keeping and flipping them both for maximum returns

Assuming they can fix the D-line.   That's the achilles heel right now and Smith would need some big bodies taking up blockers (paging Star Lotulelei!) to be most effective...

DaQuan Jones . Star has declined every year, 6 tackles and 1.5 sacks in 16 games last year. Pff has 30 free agent dt rated higher.

You aren't reading my posts - I'm stopping with yours.  I already responded to this a while ago.

No one scouting the QBs has failed to point out Darnold's own play declined between 2016 and 2017.

And on his down year, his QB rating and record was still better than Rosen, so what's your point? You gonna bring up INTs again?

Because you believe scouting agencies, right? Presumably Bradley Chubb is the 4th best player; I mean, that's consensus. Either a running back or a guard is the consensus best player in the draft. That's what the agencies say, right?  I'm not sure that any one of those three players will be the most productive players at their positions (interior line, rb, rush).

Sam Darnold is almost universally the first pick in the mock drafts. If you use mock drafts and projections, that's just great. LMAO.

Who is going to block for our new QB?

I would guess -

Dion Dawkins, Richie Incognito, ? (Groy maybe?), Miller/Vlad/someone new, Mills/someone new.

Dawkins did very well at LT last season, and not so good at RT. So Glenn was likely made redundant in the eyes of McBeane. Then you look at the high price tag and missed games the last 2 seasons, and you can see why they were leaning toward Dawkins on a rookie 2nd round contract.

Add in the Bengals offering to swap 1sts and give the Bills a much better shot at their QB and the decision's even easier.

I liked Glenn a lot too, and just said today that they better be sure Dawkins can continue playing like last season. But that was when I was expecting Glenn to bring back a 3rd or something similar... with our desperate need at QB this would have been a hard trade to say no to.

The draft will pivot on what happens in free agency.  If Denver land Cousins, they will most likely not a draft a QB.  Cleveland and NY Jets are near locks to draft a QB.  The Bills do not have to trade to 2 to get their QB.  Move to 5 with Denver and get a top 3 QB.  Today's trade gives the Bill flexibility.   This will be fun to watch play out.

That is wrong - Bills did not have a 6th.

Then Rapoport has something wrong.

NFL.com

The Buffalo Bills have agreed to trade left tackle Cordy Glenn to the Bengals, a source informed of the situation told NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport. Good Morning Football's Peter Schrager reported Buffalo and Cincinnati are swapping first-round picks, moving the Bills up to No. 12 and the Bengals back to No. 21. They're also swapping fifth- and sixth-round picks, with Buffalo moving to No. 158 and Cincinnati dropping back to No. 187, per Rapoport.

correct, think everyone else has it the opposite way. We gave up our fifth and got their sixth.

The Bills will also be sending a fifth-round pick to the Bengals, who will send a sixth-round selection to Buffalo as part of the deal. Like all proposed trades, the Buffalo-Cincinnati deal can’t become official until the new league year starts on Wednesday.

Wait, the Bills traded THEIR 6th for the Bengals 5th?? Not the other way around? So we move from 187 to 158??

That's incredible.

I don't think so.

Bills don't have a 6th. They traded their 5th for the Bengals 6th

We should trade the #12 pick to the Browns for Tyrod.  Otherwise, TSW is going to be one boring place!

No need, the deal hasn't been done yet, we just have him back, as we no longer need the extra pick with the Glenn trade, and bingo, a bridge has been laid for a new QB. ;)

I hear that, but it depends on whether or not they have three QBs rated evenly vs. that ONE guy they’ve targeted. I suspect the latter.
