BeastMode54
on a one year prove it deal? Seems like he had some medical issues that the Buffalo staff were able to find that Philly wasn't and he had surgery in Dec. to repair. Just curious what you guys thought. He's just not explosive enough to be an outside receiver and Zay Jones is best suited to play slot which makes Jordan redundant. Nice guy whom I wish nothing but the best for as he moves on. Kmart128
Depends on price and who is the QB... Lamar Jackson or Tyrod Taylor non but if we get a Rosen or Foles then yes.
Kirby Jackson
I wouldn’t take him back at the vet minimum (and I’m being serious). He is not a big enough threat. I’d prefer Thompson at the same money. The Bills don’t need another guy that can’t separate or get down the field. They have those guys in Benjamin and Zay. They need speed and quickness at the WR position. He doesn’t offer either.

BuffaloHokie13
Didn't know we had a Jordan Metthews in the first place... But really, Matthews' skillset is redundant here and it isn't needed. That is not to say he doesn't have value to someone, I just don't see the value to the Bills specifically.

I really hope they don't just dismiss Thompson, as he seems to have been throughout his career. He really did make some clutch catches for us down the stretch this year. His effort was quite noticeable. They need a burner or two, to add to Jones, Benjamin and Thompson.
AmishRifle
As a Vandy alum I can tell you that this guy can play! I’d definitely take him back on a one year prove it deal. He has the talent, just needs to get over the injuries. If you like what you see coming out of Penn State right now for the draft than you should love this guy. Same coaching staff at Vandy before they jumped to Penn State.

Bag of Milk
I would take Jordan Mathews back on a extremely team friendly deal. That being said, if has to sign a prove it deal, I would think he would do it for a more pass heavy team. In reality Mathews and Zay are somewhat similar players and the Bills would be better off adding speed to complement the duo of Benjamin and Jones. Sammy Watkins? I kid, I kid... 947
Mathews is absolutely NOT a fit for what we need. He is strictly a possession WR, best suited for the slot. We already have 2 possession guys, don't need a 3rd, what we need is a deep threat.

Captain Murica
He's going to get overpaid somewhere. His Agent and he will just chalk up this loss year due Philly's medical staff being incompetent and having Tyrod as his QB. He is a solid WR2/WR3. No way he'll be getting number one WR money, but to think he will considering coming back on a one year prove it at the age of 25 with 3 years of solid numbers and one down year is kind of insulting. MJS
Absolutely, but only if we have a QB to throw him the ball. If we field Tyrod I don't write care who we have at WR. Won't make a difference.

Watkins would be a better fit (on the field) as a speed receive playing the outside (since both Zay and Matthews are most comfortable in the slot) and Watkins is a more talented WR but I don't think there's much of any chance the Bills want him back, and I'd be surprised if Watkins has the Bills very high on his list either. From everything that came out after he left, it really sounds like his time in Buffalo was toxic - for him, his teammates and (previous) coaches. I would honestly be pretty surprised if McBeane wanted him back in the building. As far as realistic options go, Matthews on a short prove-it deal seems much more possible to me than Watkins coming back. Chances are probably high that neither of them will be back though.
