Minus the obvious...what would you like to see this year?

So when I saw who our opponents were going to be this year....I pretty much called this season a wash. I know I know...negative mentality.

So im trying to put a positive spin on it. What would I like to see from this team realistically as it goes on.

I like the idea of McDermott. So id like to see some clean coaching for once. Good challenges...good use of down and distance. Proper timeout usage.

Offensively....just improve the pass game. Run game is solid. We know we are gonna succeed on the run. We do know running the ball so much makes each throw that much more important. So making the right throw and calling the right pass play is big. Id like to see Tyrod improve on his field vision.

I think if we grab a WR early in the draft....Id like to see Tyrod just toss some balls to the WR and trust them.

Defensively....stay healthy and see the young guys grow. Its gonna be a new system again....so we gotta see our guys adapt to it quick. I wonder who is going to make a big impact this year.

Overall...Stay competitive....Id love to see a few big wins. Beating some of these playoff teams would be nice.

If we ended the season a better team than the one we started...thats all I could ask for.

Anything in particular you guys wanna see this year?

I want to see 11 men on the field each and every play.

I want to see the team set and ready to play ball prior to the snap instead of looking like they're lost and frantically waving to each other.

I want to see crisp tackling, and ending of the play rather than lamely chasing a ball carrier down the field with the defenders head on a swivel trying to figure out who SHOULD have been covering him.

I want to see Taylor use the pocket a little bit more and not be so quick to bail ... I understand his #1 strength is in his legs, but pass protection will improve if his linemen know where he is going to be.

I want to see Sammy and Shady healthy for the lions share of the snaps.

I want to see the right side of the O-line solidified.

I want to see a little more balance between our run game and our passing game.

Steady improvement and composure.

Minimal stupid 15 yard and procedural penalties.

Making sure the right # of men are on the field most of the season.

The D picking up odd formations and not getting taken to the cleaners.

Better handling of 2 minute drills and time outs and reviews.

I want the D to finish in the top 5 like it should, along with most things listed above. It's a tough schedule & with the New coaching staff, I will consider anything more than 5 or 6 wins a success with the playoffs expected in 2018.

Go Bills!!!!!

This is a great topic, kudos to the OP. Inviting other people's opinions while sharing you own = solid.

Regardless of which side of the ball show more consistency I would like to see both of them raise their level of play when the game is on the line. No more long drives at the end of the game for the D, no more 3 and outs when we need to sustain drives. When I see this from a Bills team I will believe we have a chance at turning things around. The best part of the Bills teams of the 90s wasn't the K0Gun offense or the sick linebackers wearing spiderman tights, it was the team's resiliency. We could be down by a ton in the fourth and I would never think we were out of it. We could lose a Super Bowl and I would still be confident the team wasn't going to fall apart the next year.

Good topic.

IMO the most important thing that could happen is that McD shows he's a great coaching hire. That would mean we have well prepared, disciplined, intense, team and he makes good adjustments and in game decisions.

If we have that, then we have hope for a long and successful future, even if the talent isn't quite there yet.

Things I would like to see:

1) A dominant offense both on the ground and through the air

2) A defense that can stop the run

3) A defense that creates turnovers by disrupting pass routes and applying intense amounts of QB pressure

4) A coach who punts only when it is stupid not to

A team that plays hard every week, hopefully that is rewarded in wins

defensively stop the run cold and get after the qb

offensively a mix on offense of run and pass finding the tight end often and using McCoy out of the backfield a lot as a pass catcher

1. A Real General Manager hired.

2. A QB drafted in the 1st. Mahomes or Trubisky

3.Bills bring in a top QB guru to develop them

4. Coach reports and works under General Manager

5. Football Executive hired to protect scouting and coaching from interference from ownership, marketing, and business.

Ok, but realistically you know that none of those are going to happen right?

I think there is a def chance that the bills could draft one of those 2 qbs

I dont want it in the 1st....but yeah it could happen

I don't think #3 is going to pan out. I didn't see enough from him last year to make me think he can improve.

Too early to right off a 2nd year player

I absolutely loved his college film.....and this is a one cut offense.....which is J. Williams all the way

Nice topic!!

I'd like to see:

- I would like to see the Bills add a S, WLB, CB and WR that are starter quality

- A healthy and dominant Sammy

- A balanced offense that finishes in the top 10 DVOA again

- A defense that can stop the run

- A defense that finishes in the top 16 DVOA

- Most importantly I want McDermott to be a great coach. It won't be even a little difficult to upgrade from Rex but if McDermott is like Gase we will be in great shape.
