  1. https://www.si.com/college/tennessee/football/hyatt-pinned-as-second-best-receiver I think Hyatt would be the perfect pick at #27. He just might be the most media and fan underrated draft prospect in this draft. The Bills have an over thirty Diggs and they also have Davis on the last year of his contract. They already have a couple options at slot on this team. They are in need of an outside guy. Allen and Hyatt would be a seriously dangerous combo IMO.
  2. Josh Downs will be the best receiver in this draft and he'd be a prefect fit for the slot WR on this Bills team. This would free up Diggs and Davis to work the deep "big play" routes. He should be there at pick #27.
  3. Treylon Burks looks like he'll be a beast in the NFL. Dude can do it all. His style of play and size reminds me of Terrell Owens. I'm hoping that he's the WR they're targeting in the first round.
  4. This song fits the Buffalo Bills offense, defense AND special teams! Can't wait baby!
  5. I went and looked at Allen's splits in regards to accuracy and found two interesting stats... Play Action (66%) vs. Non Play-Action (57%) and Allen only has 93 play action attempts vs 749 non-play action. Makes you wonder what the OC is thinking here. The other interesting stat I saw was Allen was 66% accurate when faced with less than 2.5 seconds of pocket time vs 48% accurate with more than 2.5 seconds.
  6. I'm surprised no one has mentioned Afernee Jennings OB/ER from Alabama. I saw a highlight video on him and he seems to be undervalued on many "big boards". The guy plays like a clone of Lorenzo Alexander. I could possibly see him as the Bills 2nd round pick.
  7. Josh Allen will go down as the best QB from his class (Jackson's body type and style aren't a long lasting recipe). Allen was tied for first in both 4th quarter comebacks and game winning drives last year (probably the most important quality for your starting QB to have). His teammates love him for his fearless, reckless-abandoned style of play. IMO Bills fans are going to see a REALLY REALLY good offense this year (Diggs is a game changer). They are going to be shocked at how good they are, and it's gonna be REALLY REALLY fun to watch.
  8. Looking at his highlights, Allen and Higgins would make a great match. Their playing styles definitely complement each other.
  9. After reading this, it might be a hard pass... https://nflmocks.com/2020/01/14/2020-nfl-draft-jonathan-taylor-overrated/
  10. I think what the Josh Allen detractors are failing to understand that the kid’s got a huge ceiling, he’s clearly getting better and the sky is still the limit with him. QBs like Mahomes and Watson are pretty much almost at their ceilings. Mahomes stepped right into the perfect situation with coaching, talent around him, and the system he’s working in... and Watson played at the highest level in college football while also just finishing his third year in the NFL. Allen came from Wyoming and he just finished his second year of pro football. There's a big difference there. Fans need to step back a bit on the harsh criticism of Josh, IMO he’s shown a lot of promise of down the road, becoming one of the NFL’s top QBs.
  11. ...remain. Hope the players realize this. I know they're young, but they need to play like they gave it their best shot so they won't have any regrets about a missed golden opportunity like this when their playing days are over.
  12. I generally agree with this notion...however, the tone and exactness of his comments regarding Allen smacks of total disrespect regarding what this kid accomplished last season. Josh Allen will have a great platform to prove the doubters (though "haters" seems like a more appropriate term for this guy) wrong with the first game of the season being played on the road in the biggest media market on the planet.
  13. In the media, there clearly are six "core" teams that are talked about all the time...Patriots, Cowboys, Giants, Jets, Eagles, Steelers. Then there are the teams that they have to talk about a lot because they're championship contenders...Rams, Saints, Chiefs (Ravens and Packers used to be on this list). I think fans have become programmed to get a kick out of being outraged or disrespected. It's probably why those "hot take" debate programs are so popular, both sports related and political. I don't pay attention to media much anymore because they're just trying to distract people from real life. The Bills will get noticed when it's clear they're on the way back to becoming a contender for the Super Bowl.
  14. This may be a weird perspective, but the Patriots winning proves no franchises in the history of the league have had a tougher road than the the Bills, Jets and Dolphins for an almost two decade period. Here's hoping any and all Bills decisions being made are for the sole purpose of putting this dominating era to end.
  15. Brady and Brees literally are the old face of the NFL. IMO Chiefs and Rams win turning the page on the old face of the NFL, setting up the highly anticipated rematch in the Super Bowl.
  16. The Steelers might just want to stick it to Brown and send him to a team that they feel has no chance to win, rather than to a team that they feel is a contender. As for the cost, Beane would probably work out a trade like this years 2nd rd pick plus a conditional 2020 pick (for instance, a 2nd round pick if they do make the playoffs or a 3rd round pick if they don't). I just think that something big like this will happen, especially seeing the pounding the Pats gave the Chargers today. Beane and McDermott are probably thinking they need a game changing move if they have any thoughts of taking over the division.
  17. I have a weird feeling that the Bills will be the team to trade for Antonio Brown. The main reason is that this regime must win and make the playoffs in 2019 or all bets are off if they get to stick around for a fourth year. I know Brown isn't their type of guy, but they may make an exception for Brown because the stakes are so high. I see them trading for Brown, spending their FA money on the offensive line and using this coming draft to help make a dominant defense.
  18. McDermott is just starting out his career as a head coach and I think that he's the perfect fit for the Bills. Every franchise that has won a Super Bowl did so with a head coach that had never won one before. These things (GM, head coach, roster) build organically, then once the right pieces are in place momentum and confidence then builds to where eventually it's clear for all to see the team seems destined for big things. History says that the Bills have a much better chance to win a Super Bowl with Sean McDermott than they would with hiring John Harbaugh. No NFL head coach has ever won a Super Bowl with two different teams. McDermott has impressed me with how he has got his team to play and fight each and every game. IMO that's the true measure of how good of a job a head coach is doing. I'm very confident that the Bills are going to the playoffs next year because they have only a few key holes to fill and they can easily do that with the draft, FA and trades.
  19. I was a big big fan here at TSW of the Bills drafting Mahomes leading up to that draft...HUGE fan. However, I am extremely happy with Josh Allen now and I have no want or desire to tamp my enthusiasm down with a silly hypothetical which does little but sow discontent among fans. Allen is proving he can play and be successful with a poor supporting cast. He doesn't have Hunt, or Hill, or Kelce...and he doesn't have Andy Reid as his OC. Yet, he is proving he can still win without all that. Mahomes is where he is supposed to be and Allen is where he is supposed to be...it's all good.
  20. This game could very well be the pivot point when the term “trusting the process” was no longer seen as a joke. This team is coming together.
  21. It's hard to read this board because of the collective snap "hot take" decisions of this type of crowd here. They seemingly are in demand of instant star level play and can't factor in that the offense system, QB, and OL all must work in cohesion with each other and that takes a LOT of time when your team just installed a new offense, with new coaches, and new young players. Those fans should probably have taken a step back and understood that there actually is a process going on here and there are signs that the offense is coming together with the play of guys like Jones and Teller. The next step is for Josh Allen to get into a comfort zone with the pace of the NFL game and with the direction of the offense. I foresee the Bills becoming more pass heavy because that is the directing they want to take this team. They probably want Allen to start developing his timing and rhythm with guys like Jones. I look forward to seeing Allen embarrassing the guys here who also labeled him a bust. This offense is coming around.
  22. It’s silly to rank a rookie who’s had four starts with those seasoned veteran NFL qbs as average as they were. With that being said, I have no doubt Josh Allen will exponentially rank above all of them once Beane brings in a good OC, and adds some upgraded talent to the WR and OL positions. I believe Allen has the physical talent and mental make up to eventually turn this franchise around. He just needs time and a few more pieces added on offense. Jared Goff needed those two things and look where he and the Rams are at now.
  23. The OP and this reply give me hope for TSW. I think in general, that this board has a very distorted view of the state of the franchise. My view matches the OPs and this reply. I have a very calm outlook because I truly believe that the pieces are coming together just like they did in the mid 80s. This is being done right. I feel the expectations for this 2018 team from many fans seem to have been simply unrealistic from the get go. This team is trying to build itself into a perennial playoff team. This is the bumpy road part. I believe in the direction of this team and the key young players they have drafted, including Josh Allen.
  24. This franchise in general is also paying for the horrible drafts of 2015 and 2016. This year was just not supposed to be a good year for them. They have a very talented group of young players from the last two drafts who aren't ready to take the team over, their veterans are getting very old, and they lost the heart and soul of their offensive line. There's nothing in between because of those poor drafts. IMO this is not a GM or HC issue. It's just a season, with a roster in transition, that this franchise and it's fans unfortunately have to muddle through in the hopes that the young players (Josh Allen especially), the 2019 draftees and the new FA's prove that the process is indeed working with a 2019 season of a young team ready for a decade long run at playoff and Super Bowl contenders. I have faith that the 2019 season will show that the process is working.
  25. The Bills literally have the worst offensive line and wide receivers in the league. That is not an exaggeration. Steve Young looked like crap playing with the same kind of bottom feeder talent in his first two years in Tampa Bay. The owner made his choice of head coach and GM,...they in turn made their choice of future franchise QB in Josh Allen. The next step in this progression is getting a big upgrade in talent around Josh Allen. This is the one and only answer. If someone doesn't like it, or doesn't have any belief it will happen for Josh Allen, then they will have to simply wait for the whole darn thing to fail and that won't happen until 2020 at the earliest. I think fans forget how bad the talent level is on offense. Tom Brady would look bad here.
