The Wiz
Kiko Alonso tried to kill a teammate. Saw that too. Reminds me of the Aussie from necessary roughness  Coach Gennero: [after McKenzie refused to wear pads, and was knocked unconscious by a tackle] Look at that. He held onto the ball. Well, let's wake him up and get him some pads. Coach Rig: I don't know, Ed. Pads might hurt his game.

As much as I liked Fitz, it always seemed like he was having a coronary when he wound up for a throw over 12 yards. Apparently it's called "double cheeking it." As per Trent Dilfer. Fitz' problem was that he had to expend so much energy in throwing the ball, his accuracy suffered.
FluffHead
Â EJ seems to throw the ball without effort. As much as I liked Fitz, it always seemed like he was having a coronary when he wound up for a throw over 12 yards. Â That was so frustrating with Fitz. 26CornerBlitz
Decided to post this here: Position battles to watch this summer http://nfl.si.com/20...?xid=nl_siextra  • T.J. Graham vs. Marquise Goodwin, Da’Rick Rogers and Robert Woods, WR, Bills: In the span of one draft weekend, the Bills went from being extremely thin at wide receiver to having an exciting young nucleus. The Bills could employ a lot of three- or four-receiver looks again this year, with Graham (31 catches in 2012) or Goodwin out of the slot. Woods might have the inside track on the No. 2 spot, opposite Stevie Johnson, but Rogers, an undrafted free agent, is one of the biggest wild cards in the league heading into the summer.  http://nfl.si.com/2013/05/09/each-teams-most-pressing-question-as-minicamp-looms/ Too late for Dansby, but the question remains.  • Buffalo Bills: Are Nigel Bradham and Kiko Alonso ready? The Bills are rumored to be interested in at least one free-agent linebacker, Karlos Dansby. But as things stand right now, Bradham (a 2012 fourth-rounder with 11 starts last season) and Alonso (a 2013 second-rounder) are slotted to start at the inside linebacker spots in Buffalo’s 3-4 look. That’s a lot to ask of the young pairing. Edited May 11, 2013 by 26CornerBlitz
Dorkington
As much as EJ sounds good, and looks good on paper, some of the write ups are concerning. Here's hoping he can get the accuracy dialed in. Having a smooth and strong arm means nothing if the ball goes no where near the WRs.

Having a smooth and strong arm means nothing if the ball goes no where near the WRs. Â EJ was the most accurate passer in college out of all those QBs that were drafted in the 2013 draft. It was something like 68%. He was also the most accurate passer among the college QBs when it came to 20+ yard throws. His biggest knock in college was that he held on to the ball too long. Â Football! This year is going to be fun. Â Absolutely. At least the offense will not be boring.

KeisterHollow
Some people are going to blow every missed pass, every wrong read, by Manuel this summer WAY OUT OF PROPORTION. The kid can throw the ball - an ability in him that is almost like breathing in most of us - accurately enough to make most passes. Sure, he'll have bad days - as do all QB's - and he won't always look perfect on every play, BUT, it's the great plays, the big passes, the make-something-out-of-nothing plays that he'll make that are going to be the real game changers. Â Frankly, I'm not going to read too much into anything I read about this summer. We'll see how he plays come August, and then September. In the meantime, lets try not to over-analyze every word and every single pass this kid makes.

It took Fitz a lot of effort to throw a deep ball, but it always seemed it was thrown up for grabs because that was the best he could do. I never knew this was called "double-cheeking" but Trent is right. EJ isn't double-cheeking.

I mean we haven't been to the playoffs in 13 years! Â He didn't complete almost a third of his passes in college. Thats barely a few percentage points better in college better than erratic passers like Flacco and big ben. This guy cant hit the broad side of a barn. Â Also he underthrew that guy from Texas that runs a 4.2 40.... Noodlearm. Â And when he does throw the deep ball it doesn't even look like he's trying, so there may be an effort issue there as well. Â By any measure objective or subjective, EJ is a very accurate thrower. Â The "experts" who criticize his accuracy have zero basis in fact for that opinion. It was an uninformed view that was parroted by people who form their opinions by reading the work of lazy analysts. Â This has been hashed out for weeks here. Where have you guys been? Â Watch the videos. Look at the stats. Look at the advanced stats. Â EJ is extremely accurate.
