Yep, the whole defense, sideline and all the coaches should have been saying to swat the ballā€¦.

Ā

Nope, PS guy going for the interception!Ā
Ā

That was the game!

Ā

That wasn't the only point of the game. The issue is there's no many things that, if they switched, we would have won.

The game was fumbling a sneak on our own 1 with 40 seconds to go, when even a safety would do, and we lost a TD

that was the game. i still cant believe it

NFC team and I am more dissapointed by this loss than the other two. Ā I dont know why. Ā We should have had this game in the bag. Ā The Jets game too really. Ā This team is letting me down. Ā All teams have bad games and we do have some bad injuries but this team just is not playing like it should be. Ā Probably need a break from the board for the day at least. Ā Too disappointed.

The Chiefs have an elite coach.Ā  The Bills don't.Ā  KC finds ways to win.Ā  Buffalo finds ways to lose.Ā  Nothing changes until McDermott's the ex-head coach.Ā  6-3?Ā  It's a disgrace.Ā  This regular season was about getting the #1 seed ... McDermott's blown that.

Elite coach, Reid? WTF, you know he was a head coach that lost playoff games for over 10 years until Mahommes got there, right?

That 4th and 18 Vikings conversion in the 4th quarter was the key of the game.

It really wasn't though. This game never should have been in reach. We should have been up 34-17 mid way through the 4th. We are throwing these games away with bad decision making again and again.Ā Ā

Safety is ok there, that is the point. It is a safe play whether you make it or not. He he throws a another INtvthere you all would be yelling why are they throwing and JA probably does throw the pick.

Ā

Not on first down! They had 3 plays to try the Allen run and throw it away. If you are going to take a safety it should be on 4th down not 1st.

Last week did that, it is done. 3rd place in the division. Schedule too difficult to overcome rest of season. Tavens only have 1 team on the schedule with a winning recited left. Same as many other AFC teams. We have to win out now just to have a chance.

Unbelievable. This is all part of their clever plan. Get in as a wild card, then win it all and have the 3rd place schedule next year. Ā Itā€™s brilliant. Hear me out!!!

The game would have been over if Lewis just swats to ball. That end zone shenanigans wouldnā€™t even had happenedĀ

Allen has sucked. He throws into coverage, he goes for the long ball when the short ball would suffice.

Ā

But I gotta wonder how much blame lies on Dorsey. What play calls is he saying into Allen's ear? Is Dorsey partly to blame for Allen's gunslinger mistakes?

Exactly 2 timeoutsā€¦. Run the ball, running a crossing route, anything. No we dial up a play where everyone is 15 yds downfield. Itā€™s frustratingĀ

The coaches need to start taking the points that are on the table.Ā  Start taking away some of Josh's ability to 'take advantage of the opportunity presents itself' moments.Ā Ā

3 weeks in a row we are running Singletary and scoring.Ā  2nd half we stop running and we throw and throw and turn the ball over.Ā  Not saying Singletary is the answer, run Cook I don't care but stop throwing the ball 90 percent of the time.Ā  Especially with a lead.Ā  We don't know how to close out games or get short yardage at key times because we just don't run the ball enough to be any good at it.

^This.

Ā

A three score lead at home in the second half.Ā  You gotta run a little bit and you have to put the game away.Ā

Ā

The game turned for the offense in the second half, 2nd and 2 at the 12 (red zone).Ā We passed three straight times.Ā  The FG was there and those points were needed even though it remains a 3 score game.Ā  The fourth down pass was an interception in the end zone.Ā

Ā

Fast forward to OT.Ā  1st and 10 at the 20 (red zone).Ā  Great time to run 26 who had 2 TDs and ran well in the first half and force the defense to think about the run.Ā  Three passes to the end zone, interception.Ā

Ā

We are abymsal in close games this year.Ā Ā

Ā

Reid was lambasted worse than McD for his mind numbing calls for years and years and years with the Eagles and even the Chiefs for many yearsĀ

McDermott needs to work on the mentality of Josh & the entire team. Ā Josh needs to quit trying to take the whole team on his shoulders. He always takes the blame for any loss & passes credit to others on wins. Ā You can do that publicly at press conferences to be a good teammate and leader, but you canā€™t do that to yourself internally. Ā When you start getting down on yourself it can snowball on you. I agree Dorsey needs to have a calming, encouraging effect on Josh.Ā
Ā

Objectively, Josh wasnā€™t the only one to make bad plays. We had 2 key drops late 4th quarter by Diggs & in OT by Knox. Ā Our defense gave up a 27-10 lead. We gave up several key 4th down plays. Winning & losing is a team thing.

Ā

We need a whole team reset this week. Itā€™s not too late to save the season.Ā

First half, he was looking for that. Second half, he went back to the same crap heā€™s been doing the past few weeks. He needs to settle down and take whatā€™s there. Heā€™s regressed in 2.5 weeks.Ā

My God, Singletary might have scored himself. Incredibly bad judgement - rookie early season bad.

All week you are going to hear people saying itā€™s an out of conference loss, still early, no big deal, nobody will even listen to anything doom and gloom ā€¦this team is in big trouble. We might have our hands full making the playoffs at this point. Regardless of what anyone thinks about seeding, if this team goes to KC in the playoffs weā€™re done. Itā€™s not the same to win there in the playoffs. They are an excellent team, the crowd and officiating will be a factor. These last 2 weeks are inexcusable. You blew a 2 score AND a 3 score lead to lesser teams in back to back weeks. This team as currently constructed is going nowhere. The defense canā€™t get off the field in a big spot, we canā€™t put teams away and we canā€™t run the ball. This style of play is not sustainable and if Josh doesnā€™t start protecting the ball, we are done.

It's the drizzling schnittz again this week. It's one thing to lose but jeebus they gotta go and lose in one of the weirdest, most contrived ways ever.Ā

Ā

Again, self inflicted bull poopery plus injuries equals bad times.Ā

Ā

I think you pay Tremaine Edmunds. He does so much under the radar that goes unappreciated. It was a different game without him. I know the big time flash plays aren't always there but he does a lot of good stuff and I think he's worth hanging onto.Ā

Ā

The worst part of a loss are the weeks worth of awful hot takes. Blech.Ā

Ā

I think they'll be alright. They seem to end up on the wrong end of a flukey game more often than not, unfortunately. 2020 Arizona game comes to mind. They aren't getting blown out, just too many mistakes and injuries on defense. Story of the season so far.Ā

Ā

Go beat up stoopid Cleebland. Frickin' turds.Ā

I took it easy on coaching in the game day thread. Itā€™s not their fault Allen fumbled in his own end zone. Allen needs to do better overall. With that said, this team goes intoĀ prolonged funks every season. You canā€™t secure home field, or be the best that way. Thatā€™s on coaching imoĀ

All they had to do was put Josh in long snap & let him throw it away---worst case scenario is a safety. time to fire this OC.

I think Dorsey and Allen are wired very similarly and would each run through a wall to pick up a 1st down up 20-0 in week one because they are ultra competitive.

Ā

Daboll has a handful of super bowl and national championship rings and knows the long game. He was a calming influence on AllenĀ

That's a strong possibility.Ā  Leslie and Sean don't seem to help much in the big game, big time moments either.Ā  I'm still not willing to be against Dorsey yet.Ā  1st year, and I'm sure almost ALL OC's are telling their QB's "if it's not there, throw it away".Ā  Him and Josh still have a lot of learning moments ahead of them.Ā Ā
