Nashville’s design is a downtown location and I believe the architects are trying to create a downtown vibe with lots of balconies facing the streets so people can be seen in the stadium bars and restaurants, ‘hanging out’ before during and after the game. The other difference with a downtown design is that you cannot get far enough away from the facility to view it all at one time. The narrow streets and surrounding buildings block that kind of vista. The Orchard Park location is in the middle of a parking lot, so you can take in the entire stadium upon arrival. But unlike Nashville there’s no surrounding street atmosphere to engage with, so balconies and patios are somewhat superfluous. Again, this isn’t about style. It’s about the stadium experience. if it’s a direct copy of Tottenham Hotspur, then I am 1000% on board. if it’s a stripped down version of that stadium because they needed to cut cost, and because Buffalo there is where I start to have issue. what’s another 20-25 million when you’re spending 1.2 billion

I know Allen has a canon but he can't throw through everything. I'm pretty sure they designed the stadium to minimize the wind, which is the way to go. Maximizing crowd noise should definitely be a priority. Not necessarily maximize the wind, but wind certainly is an advantage for us over the years- especially from a kicking standpoint. Over time, our kickers / punters get used to the all the intricacies and nuance of kicking in our stadium w/ unique wind pattern, but visiting kickers aren't. Inigo Montoya
It's a newer football stadium without any frills. Looking at Nashville's proposed stadium shows what is possible, looking at ours shows what's acceptable. Realistically, there's no reason to build an architecturally interesting building that is going to be an anchor or hub of a neighborhood sitting in the middle of nowhere in Orchard Park. If it was built in downtown Buffalo it would have made more sense to make it something more than just a generic football stadium. Which is what this is. Ultimately, it's about the football team playing inside.

And, I’m guessing the Pegulas asked for it to be similar. I’m certain Terry and Kim visited Tottenham with the architects more than once. Furthermore, lots of things seem out of proportion. I thought the big reveal would show a lot of detail, including concourses. They must have gotten pressured to release something, either internally or from politicians. They provided the bare minimum, plus those two panels of weird platitudes. Why you don’t see that sort of stuff in every venue is because most stadiums are used as multi-purpose facilities. People aren’t interested in seeing team logos when they go to see a concert. The wind in the stadium swirls and can change directions in a heartbeat. There's no predicting this. Any article trying to claim our kickers know the wind is clearly just speculation and would also be claiming that correlation implies causation. The wind literally cost us homefield last year against the Chiefs since we held the tiebreaker. We lost the wind game at home in December to a team that threw 3 passes. Because the early, mid-90s Bills were great teams, people now somehow automatically equate the Buffalo weather as being an advantage for us, which defies logic when we are a pass-happy offense now. We model the entire facility (inside and out) and then we import the model into an animation software where we select a ‘path’ for a fly around animation. We can then take any ‘frame’ from that movie and turn it into a still shot rendering. It’s actually very easy once the computer model is built. It’s just like how they make a Pixar animated film. Its likely that these things have been accomplished by Populous or whatever, but they haven't been paid the full amount (maybe its on contingency or something). The Bills wont/cant cover the whole contract amount until these long-form documents are completed (hopefully December now). Once the funding is freed up, the Bills can pay Populous, the model/renderings are delivered, and the Bills release them to the public. They were probably waiting for this, but someone somewhere got antsy to release them today, October 27th

I know other have mentioned this. If you look at the overhang at the far-left hand side of the stadium it shows the overhang covering all of the upper level with the 2nd thru 4th levels. If this is more accurate it would be great. All in all, for a cheaper Buffalo stadium that we all knew was going to happen, it looks good to me. Can't wait to be there for the "inaugural" season!
