Sometimes Nanz makes comments that make me want to say shut up aka announcer jinxes like so and so hasn't missed a kick since _____.

If Nantz can jinx a kicker simply by stating a stat that guy has amazing powers. Kind of like the "we lost today because I didn't have my lucky hat on"...

Niners are better than anything the NFC has to offer

Agreed. Their D is second to maybe only us.  But maybe second to none.  Shanahan has really gotten in the way with some stubborn play calling.  The qb play will likely keep them from a Lombardi, but I think they’re the team to give us hell.

Romo is horrible

Wouldn’t know.   Have muted Nantzy for years so haven’t ever heard anyone who is the booth with that 6’5” walking girl part.

I dunno, I like Nantz for football but it's his sidekick that goes off too much. Nantz for golf is excellent too.

Hey too each their own.

But Nantzy reminds me of that guy at the club that breaks 90 once and starts giving out golf tips.    Also the minute someone he perceives to be cooler or higher in society than you he bolts.

But hey I am fully aware I am an acquired taste and couldn’t care less!

Enjoy the game and….

Go Bills!

Heavily touted as the game of the year.  Fans will be lucky if it’s anywhere close to last year’s playoff game.  Our chance to further show why we are the Super Bowl favorites.

I think it's crazy to think or hope that the game will be anywhere near as exciting as last year's playoff game.  That was off the charts.  From a sheer football purist's perspective, that wildly exciting, intense game with 25 points scored in the final 2 minutes is not likely to be topped or matched for a long time.
The hype is high for Bills and Chiefs fans - with few hoping to have a game like that again and most wanting to have their team prove they are the top dog, and the more lop-sided the score the better for them.  I'm in that camp.  Go Bills!

These maps always are so interesting...

Like what was the thought process behind "let's put Jets vs Packers as the game for ALLLLL of Texas.... except for Waco... they get Bucs v Steelers!" 🤣

I don't care either way, it's just funny to me.

no clue… I thought maybe Kenny Pickett was from the area but nope, raised in NJ and went to college at Pitt.

For those in the U.K., we’re unsurprisingly the late evening game:

Early evening: 49ers at Falcons

Late evening: Bills at Chiefs

The first game clashes with the Emmerdale 50th birthday celebrations. Which is a bonus.

I thought they might have gone Ravens v Giants in the first game but looks like they wanted an NFC v NFC & AFC v AFC double header. Bills game the only 9:25 ko. Even if it wasn't that'd be the Sky choice.

Fully healthy I will take our D

Egregious this was not scheduled for Sunday Night or Monday Night.

Monday night game on cable will always have ratings worse then a sunday at 4:25 time slot. And NBC cant get every great game. Supposedly a truly national 4:25 sunday game gets better ratings then Sunday night too. Expect this game to be on FOX next year.

So would I. But that doesn’t mean the niners might not have the best D in the league.

Niners do have a very good D. If Chris Berman's prediction of a Bills-Niners Super Bowl finally comes true, I take comfort in the fact that Josh>>>>>>>>Jimmy G. Niners couldn't keep up offensively with the Bills. As good as the Niners D is they won't shut the Bills down for 60 minutes especially if the Niners O struggles.

Although nationally televised on CBS, there are two other 4:00 games on Fox (Panthers/Rams and Cardinals/Seahawks). Would be interesting to see the ratings and viewership numbers on the other two compared to us.

One would think the NFL would want this to be a true prime time game to at least get someone to tune into those other two games.

The two Fox 4pm games have VERY limited national distribution. The national ratings will be dwarfed by the CBS game, if for no other reason.

It might be interesting to compare the local ratings in the few "neutral" markets where Fox is showing a late game. For example,  Boston and New Orleans have the Rams game against the Bills game.

interesting that Boston chose Panthers/Rams late game over Bucs/Steelers early game. You would think Pats fans would want to watch Brady since Pats suck.

FOX is a single game this week… so Boston area would obviously air a 4 PM game on FOX (since the Pats play at 1 PM on CBS).

Exactly.  In an instance like this the station has no choice.

Sometimes Sky go with the 9:05pm game if it suits them, and then we have a messy handover period unless the early game is a blow out, at which point they ditch it.

You've posted this twice that I’ve seen.  What makes you think Fox will get this premier AFC matchup?  They don’t give CBS any Dallas games; the crossover games are usually clunkers.

I think they're set up better than the Phins over the next few years, IF, and it's a big IF, Wilson turns into a serviceable quarterback.

The Jets are hinging their hopes on Wilson for sure. They have some solid talent on both sides of the ball but also need a few pieces to become a more serious threat in the AFC. I agree that I am more worried about the Jets long term than I am the Fins or Pats.

The Pats are well coached and solid defensively but I am just not a believer in Mac Jones or their ability to get skill position players around him.

The Fins are a dynamic WR combo but Tua has serious injury concerns and might not be dynamic enough to lift the team. I also think the Fins run a bit older along the defense and Oline.

The Jets still have some cap flexibility with Wilson on a rookie deal and a young core of talent. I think it is a strong possibility we are looking at the Jets as second place finishers this season and the strongest competition in 2023. Still not a threat this year but definitely a future for that team.

why? In Chicago area Bears noon games on Fox almost always have a CBS game on at noon too. Just sometimes the other network not showing Bears choses better game at 3. And if Bears network does not have the doubleheader the Bears game will have a game running on other network every time regardless of if Bears play at noon or 3.

Every market rotates one network doing the doubleheader at noon and 3, and the other network gets one game at noon or 3.

wouldn’t the local FOX affiliates want as many Beantown-area eyes on their one game as possible?  Everyone and their annoying-accented mother is going to be watching the Cheats and the Sexual Predator-Enablers square off on CBS at 1:00

Next year there are no exclusive AFC and NFC contracts between Fox and CBS.

the local billsbackers club will be LIT this weekend it is a Lock. No matter it is on CBS televised nationally. I love that about our local club. Being in Pacific Beach  literally 50 yards from the beach is the absolute cherry.

GO BILLS
