They need a wide receiver to take the top off. This is where John Brown really came in handy. As great as Diggs is, he’s a tactician with elite route running and strong speed. He can get by the defender, but he’s not a speedster. McKittrick is fast, but not strong enough off the line to break the big play. Yards per catch has no bearing on separation. Davante Adams is probably the top WR at getting into space, yet he averages ~12 ypc in his career.
