He was going against practice squad and backup DB's in the 4th qtr where he got most of his yards.

And a defense sitting in prevent with a 19 point lead that missed kicks that should have ended the game twice.

How anyone can take the Ravens seriously right now is laughable.

Would appreciate them beating the Chargers at home this week tho.

Those yards count differently?

Yes he does

Let's see

5 yard lob turned into a 65 yard gain because Mark Andrews is the best TE in football

or

a 65 yard dime in double coverage like what Mahomes, Allen, Herbert, Murray routinely make?

Its about consistency and he doesn’t have that throwing the ball.

Seems like he's only gotten better. He's had the same knocks on him that Josh has had, but he keeps coming through. This year specifically he's looked like he's taken that next step & really improved his passing game.

lol…prior to this game, he had 4 TD passes in 4 games….with 3 ints.

The highest he’s been in the NFL in passing yards is 22nd.

You are right, those are gaudy passing numbers.  He might break Brady’s passing record in a few years.

Not really. The Bills bottled them up on offense both times they have played them.

Under no circumstances am I picking Baltimore over Buffalo in 2021. But the Bills are 1-1 against Lamar. Weird flex to say they haven’t cause problems for us.

This Bills team I think is a standard deviation better than the league at the moment. But I don’t love going against LJ.

They barely beat us in 2019, I'd say we're a bit better than then, not sure they could say the same.

True.  But the gap integrity we've shown so far this year would have him a lot more bottled up than he's been against other teams.

Lamar belongs in the MVP conversation.

(Well behind Allen of course)

They needed a miracle to beat the LIONS. Let's see what he does against an actual defense and not a mess of guys I've never even heard before.

Yes indeed his career stats are gaudy!

Career 63.6% 8,162 72 21 101.1

He is 400ish passing attempts from being listed on the all-time QB rating chart.  If he stays at 101 he would be fifth all-time ahead of Brady, Brees, and Manning.

So what evidence do you have he can't throw the ball?

Sure, Ravens are 4-1 but I don't think this one matters much to us in the long run.  Ravens face a gauntlet in their division this year.

Colts, meanwhile, are down for the count.

I would love to see the Colts miss the playoffs. I just hate how we matchup with those guys.

On offense, they haven't.  They beat us because their defense stifled us in the first game. We held them to 24 points and 257 yards at a time they were putting up 35+ points and 450+ yards on everyone.

I think you’re muddling a whole bunch of things together.

I think the 2021 Bills handle the Ravens. I think the Bills can handle any team in the league.

Lamar Jackson is a talent and profieicient passer.

LJ8 makes the Ravens a tough match up for any team in the league. Win or lose. It is a lot to defend. And as we saw tonight, and over and over again. No lead is safe.

No team matches up well against the Ravens because of their QB. Some maybe better than others. But none terribly well.

Agreed with this.

I am one who thinks MVP should go to the most valuable player to their team. Lamar is in that conversation even though he may or may not be a better player than anybody on that list.

LJ doesn’t worry me - colts D melted down - whole secondary was backups and line got no pass rush. Given up that long td pass to brown was criminal. LJ is mistake prone and you put pressure on him, which we would with our rotating 8 flat, and he would make mistakes

Yeah well over the last 4 games we're 116 points away from being 0-5. 😂 See! I can do that too.....

Might be a stupid question but let’s say colts fire Reich, would anyone on here disagree about bringing him in as OC if Daboll does leave in 22?

I don't think any hardcore Bills fan would have a problem with it. Front office may have different thoughts on the matter though.

Agree with your top 4.  What about Trevon Diggs?  I think LT is the only defensive player to ever win the award.  Diggs might get a few votes if he keeps playing as well as he is.

I mean I get the feeling we're promoting from within on that one.

Agreed.  Dorsey is the OC in waiting.  Unless he leaves too, why would you not give it to Dorsey? This of course assumes he is actually helpful in designing/calling the passing game as he is listed.

Reich would get another head coaching job. He is extremely well respected around the league.

And I highly doubt that will happen anytime soon anyways.

Okay.  The first one in the previous game, you are correct.  But in this game Lamar's knee was clearly down before the fumble.  It was the right call.

Still want to see this video... You might be wrong, after all.

I love Frank, but this is Allen’s offense and if Daboll leaves, then Dorsey will take the OC reigns.

He knee was CLEARLY down before the ball came out. That still frame image was taken after his knee already hit the ground and touched.

That's why I wanted to see the video. The tweet says he was not touched.

By the end of the game the Colts knew they had a sieve for a defense.  No professional CBs, up against LJ and those Raven receivers.  Come on.  But they had a chance to win at the end of regulation.  They ran out of time, because they let the Ravens use up almost the whole clock before scoring their inevitable tying TD.  The Colts should either have use their time outs to conserve time, or let/forced the Ravens to score more quickly.  If Wentz had a full two minutes or even a full minute to get into position, the Colts would have had a much shorter FG or possibly a TD to go back in front.

That, and winning the coin flip, were the only two chances the Colts had at the end.

Being here in Indy, the Colts nation were not happy with Frank when they were driving in the fourth and had the ball inside Ravens 20 and he took his foot off the the gas.  Classic conservative coaching with feet of clay moment.  Ran the ball three times and try to burn the clock.  Defense was ready for it and the result was a loss of  5 yards and the FG was a miss.   You lose the momentum on the road and you are going to pay.    Dominate a team a majority of the game  but lose can tear a team apart.
