Hoping Sal’s show is as good as on victory Monday.  Worried about the time that Sal has to be out at the stadium.

Wish they put the instigators on at 10 and then 4 straight hours of Bills talk with Sal and OBL.

We will see how this goes.

Turn out the lights, the paaaaaarty's over...
They say that all good things must end
Call it a night, the party's over
And tomorrow starts the same old thing again

Wish 3pm was to late - he really ruins the station listening to him talk to people like Sal.  I wanted to hear training camp news and Mike just jabbers on and on.  The interview he had with Beane was a 100% embarrassment.  Asking Beane about do they bet on other teams cuts when their scouts go over that team.  🤦‍♂️

I agree that interview was absolutely brutal. It was excruciating. I don't mind him with Sal because he is at least a bit of a counter to Sal's everything glass half full and what you end up with is a pretty balanced take of the team. I prefer Sal on the afternoon show than the morning show where it does get a bit "everything is always great" at times. But I think Schopp sucks at interviewing people from the team. It is why McDermott switched to mornings and that Beane interview..... eeeek.

Less of the Irritators is a win in my book. Two hours of sabres talk, especially during the off season was ridiculous.

It is not even Mike’s take with Sal that bother me because I agree he balances it out.  It is how in the middle suddenly he will flip to fantasy football topic when Sal is talking about Bills DBs or some other inane non-football question in the middle of the training camp report.

If he wants to talk baseball or fantasy draft with Sal great - put it in a different segment.  The fact that Sal gets a 15 minute training camp section in the afternoon and nearly always 10+ minutes is wasted with a super long winded question that has no point or a fantasy/betting question that is non Bills related or an instant trivia thing that takes up 2/3rd the segment.

The Beane interview was facepalm worthy and it was to bad because Beane provided great insight into the cut down process and Mike just kept taking the interview off the rails.

It’s a good business decision.  The Bills are awesome so Bills fans want more.  The Sabres are absolutely atrocious so cut them to one hour.

IMO, you guys are a little too hard on Sal.  He’s more fair minded than Tasker and Brown (I know they technically work for the Bills) as they sometimes are so positive when problems it’s hard to listen.  I’ve listened to more than enough Sal taking the obvious shots at the D Line last year, etc.

On the other hand I gave up on the afternoon show as they are bafoons.

He actually asked Beane to tell him about a conversation that had happened in secret that he would never want to get out...... errrrrrrrr....... 🤦‍♂️

2 Hours of Sabres talk is 2 hours too many.  This is coming from someone who was as die-hard as you could get from the 30+ years prior to 4-5 years ago.

3 Hours of Bills talk with boring Brown and Tasker is too much on a daily basis.

still want my Sabre talk...all Bills all day gets boring to me.

Think the Sabres gunna be entetaining this year.

I might be the only person alive who like the entire lineup save Nate Geary...douche on social media, douche on the radio...cant ask a question without answering first himself then asking the guest the question again...j

I actually think since Sneaky Joe does the locked on Sabres podcast - that his 2 hours with Sal will have a nice mix of Bills and Sabres, but will be better than the instigators talk - which sometimes is terrible to listen to.

I agree on cutting Sabres time.  I flipped 550 on during the afternoon on day one of the NFL draft.  It happened to be during Sabres talk time.  I was floored.  The Bills are lined up to be in the SB hunt and the draft is finally here, but let’s spend hours talking about the worst team in hockey.  FFS

I can’t deal with S&B anymore.  I just can’t.  I’m not into fantasy football.  So there’s really nothing for me to listen to.  Although I have to say, hearing them drone on about which draft in which they’re involved makes me feel like less of a loser and a better parent.  I could not imagine having kids, trying to parent well, and participating in dozens of stupid fantasy football leagues.

I agree with this somewhat. Over a 5 day week(Mon - Fri), how much Bills talk is needed.  It’s just the same callers blah blah blah.

The part I don’t agree with…it is going to be a long long Sabres season…again.

I wouldn't mind if they took Sabres talk off the air until the Bills season was over.

You do realize WGR has the broadcast rights for the Sabres games, but you want them to ignore the Sabres for more than half the NHL season?

One other thing…Sal still speaks way too fast.  He always sounds like a 33 album being played at 45.

I was using hyperbole to emphasize my frustration with this horrible franchise. But I get your point. I laughed when you said that about Sal, cause it's true, lol

Haha. They do talk about fantasy a LOT at this time of year. That said if the choice is play FF or have kids..... sign me up for Fantasy Football.

Mike comes off as a guy who's bored with life and the show.  He retreats into analytics and, as a result, betting to spice things up.  For whatever reason, he sounds like someone winging it and doesn't care.  I tire of hearing him simplify everything down to metrics when the human component to sports is always in play.

Another thing I've noticed...I tuned in a few weeks ago after something Sabres related had happened only for him to talk 10-15 minutes about an experience at the vending machine.  What program director or station manager listens to that and doesn't make a point of ending the incessant banter about nothing.

The afternoon show needs some energy, but they won't alter their hosts because there's no competition.

You're right about Mike. It may be time for him to move on. For his own sake as well as the listeners.
