Marv's Neighbor
Wanted to see if it was really that bad? Costco had a note at the door that they had no bottled water or toilet paper. Other than that, it seemed pretty normal, or as normal as could be expected on a Sunday. Wegmans did have bottled water with a 2 case per limit. Surprised to see that the Pop & chips were very much depleted but not entirely gone. Didn't go as far as the toilet paper aisle but all seemed to be very normal and orderly. Considering all the apparent hysteria on the news, it was a very pleasant surprise. 1
PromoTheRobot
I went food shopping today. The usual Sunday run. Plenty of fresh foods but gaping shelves where toilet paper, cereals, canned soup and Kraft mac & cheese were.
BillsFan4
Mark Poloncarz anno7nced that he talked to all the big grocery stores and they said that their food supply is not impacted so there is no need to bulk buy food. Hopefully that message will start getting out there.

Augie
My wife went to a HUGE Publix this morning a mile east of us. It was better than a couple days ago, but still very, very limited. On a whim, she went to a much smaller Publix a couple miles to the west. TOTALLY different experience. It looked like business as usual other than TP and sanitizer/wipes. Go figure! Yesterday I mentioned to the cashier at the big one than I had been there the day before. Her eyes got huge and she said “DID YOU SEE THAT???” I had never seen anything like Friday at that store! Things are improving. There is a Costco about 3 miles away. I have’t gone by there because......I’d have to park about 3 miles away. It’s bad there on a “good day”. I’m not even trying now. . Within the last two years, they opened a Costco in Stoney Creek, and both it and the St. Catharines store are likewise jammed at the best of times. I would not even dare venture out there during this time.
Just Joshin'
Stopped at a Sam's Club this AM when they opened. We were 150th in line. No TO or eggs (luckily not needed) but a selection of meat and bottled water available. This is in a county with no reported cases.

Pop, snack foods, and delivery pizza are the sole source of foods in many households anymore. Must be the schools stopped with the talks on the food pyramid and food groups in general quite some time ago. I buy very little in the way of processed foods. I alternate between bananas and oranges and orange juice and grape juice at a minimum. Grapes help with heart health which is somewhat of an issue on my mother's side of the family. Well every week it seems things change as to what you should and shouldn't be eating and what is and isn't healthy. Apparently if you believe in Keto, Pork Rhines are healthier then eating some fruits or bread.....

davefan66
Shopped Tops today. Lot about 2/3rds full. No TP, Diet Coke, frozen veggies or chicken. Bread aisle decimated. Otherwise, pretty much everything else. Even had Clorox wipes (not many). Deli fully stocked. Gonna be a long few months.

Just Jack
Just now, row_33 said: dairy products are immune to the scum my locust hoarders Not quite, guy in line at Costco Friday night had 8 gallons of it in his cart. Recap, went Friday to Wegmans by my house, crowded at 3pm, like holiday shopping crowded. White bread was all gone, but other types were plenty, along with hot dog/hamburg rolls. English muffins were all gone, but plenty of bagels. Canned vegetable aisle was stripped bare. Didn't bother looking for TP. At checkout, lady in front of us had 8 cases of Dasani water, along with other stuff. Then onto Costco, the entire paper products aisle was gone. TP, paper towels, napkins, tissues, all gone. Two pallets of pasta, gone. Lots of other stuff was still available, but limited quantity. Today, stopped at an Aldi in the small town my parents live, still had TP, but only about a half pallet. Some sections were cleaned out, but they had plenty of canned fruits and veggies available.

SlimShady'sSpaceForce
Sunday I went to Giant and Harris Teeter to got some groceries. Giant foodwise was pretty well stocked on meats and poultry and milk, but no bread. HT foodwise had some bread but their meats and poultry section was barren and their milk coolers were completely empty. Beyond store brand tap water, the only water on the shelf is DASANI®. for $7.99 EVERWHERE

Buffalo_Gal
Since we are under 14 day self-quarantine after getting home from Europe on Saturday, we have to do online shopping (we did have friends offer to shop for us and drop off in our foyer, but we hate to impose). Dash's suspended delivery. Tops was a Monday (late) delivery when we started the order, and we were pushed to a Tuesday morning delivery by the time we completed our order. Whole Foods had no delivery times available, and I just checked my cart again and the "No delivery windows available. Please come back later." message is still up. ?♂️
