Having Heart Bypass Surgery Monday Ugh

Best of luck!  Heart fixes are serious.

Went in for routine knee surgery in August, all ready to go in and they stopped because i had an irregular EKG.  I had heart flutter.  Bottom line on the EKG looked like a saw blade instead of the up/down normal.  Had a Cardioversion in September.  That's the electric shock to the heart and am OK now.  Scared me because I had no known symptoms.  The bad knee saved me by identifying a more serious problem.  I was blessed and you will be too!

Best wishes for a quick and full recovery!

My sister had a quadruple bypass done 5-6 years ago. Tall, thin, never smoked, walked miles a day. Go figure. Hereditary I guess?  Came thru with flying colors. Her doc told her to walk 10,000 steps a day. So.....I now try to do the same and my phone counts my steps. That part of the gene pool has something in it, and it may not be a Baby Ruth.

dinner party questions to surgeons have been answered with cold answers on the percentage that genetics hold (it's way way up there for your lifeline...)

A few have attacked me verbally when i literally quoted the answers of the surgeons.
